Beauty of blowmolds is they can last forever! The light gives out, put a new cord in it. I have acouple that I display indoors so that saves them My belief is holiday decor probably lives on since a lot of older items only got displayed for a matter of a couple weeks, not months like now.......... so, in the advent of hoilday decorating, people stopped using many of these pieces as their children left home, so, these items sat unused for years, then got discarded with nothing wrong with them
All of your Christmas decorations are very breath taking. The lights and decorations on the outside of the house are so color coordinated and neatly done.
Those neon signs have held up well over the years! Vintage x-mas decorations have such character and personality to them! I collect old lights and ornaments, and good Lord, when you go down the rabbit hole of old x-mas decorations, it never ends! LOL! It also feels like you're keeping a part of the past alive for future generations to discover, and that's a good thing.
love all your vintage decorations! I think it was so sweet and what a priceless treasure you have with the neon sign your dad made in '52 ...and no repairs wow that's amazing along with all the other beautiful ones...I love your blowmold items. they are all just out of this world, especially the nativity scene you bought at sears?? You just did your inside and outside perfectly. I loved the HUGE santa face. All the cute little plastics decor too was so memorable... bringing it all together was a wondrous sight. reminds me so much of my childhood. Really hope to see one this year,,,,eagerly awaiting (hopeful) ;) Happy holidays!
The neon your Dad made is just beautiful! I can only wish I had an heirloom that neat that I could say was made by a family member. I love it! Keep doin what you’re doin.
Mannn I say YOU have the BEST VINTAGE pieces that I have seen on youtube!!! I LOVE your stuff and the music is great. Your dad's decorations are really Kool. God Bless you and Happy New Year.
OH WOW! Love all your wonderful decor. So many memories! My first blow mold was the same as yours. It was 1968 and i was 11. Your displays are just wonderful and that neon is just over the top! Enjoyed your video so much. Thank you for sharing this wonderful collection! Merry Christmas from the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Man I had the whole santa and reindeer set when I was a kid. My grandmother would order a deer every Christmas from the Sears catalog, and we would go into town and pick it up at the Sears district drop off. They started cracking at the base after decades, and we donated them to GoodWill probably 25 years ago. No telling what they would be worth now . I hope someone is enjoying them somewhere :)
Magical collection, almost impossible to find things like thee here in the UK sadly, but eBay and Etsy sometimes get the odd thing. however, the prices are getting super inflated.
Absolutely beautiful I just discovered your RUclips video. So knowing that you are a vantage Christmas collector out of curiousity did you buy some of this online? I was asking because I am a big on celebrating christmas and I always loved and preferred the classic christmas lights because it's more Christmassy.
@@barefootdavesadventures7969 Yep I subscribed. Amazing that people are actually able to buy those type of lights online like what you have thank goodness. I been using old fashion incandescent christmas lights for so many years. I think very soon I am going to have to start ordering christmas lights online in order to have old fashion in the future. Since every store are beginning to sale more LED lights.
They all have a fiberglass pole, that you can get at tractor supply, in the middle of them driven into the ground. You can cut the poles to fit the different height blow molds. Thanks for watching 😊
I have three 1970s blow mold choir people. Two brown haired white men and black haired whites woman from the Poloron catalog. I also have the blow mold nativity scene, minus the animals. Please contact me if anyone is interested! Thank you!

Yes, I buy mostly on eBay because that's the best place to find vintage decorations.

Where did you buy these?
Ebay mostly.
What way do you use to secure them? I can see thin wires. Just started collecting and was wanting to do something to lock them up.
