    I've gone from old Duratrac to Falkens and very happy.

  • @rodjbosch

    I've had Duratracs on my last 3 trucks....all half tons...all daily drivers.
    Avid outdoors so tires see alot of snow,ice,mud(if it ever rains).
    I've never had a sidewall issue....and am running non LT tires.(in the middle of the prairies so rocks roots are not a problem).
    Alberta,run year round so by 3rd year they are sketchy on wet pavement,horrible on ice.
    I siped my own tires before winter and made an incredible difference.
    I was set on putting Falcon Wildpeaks AT3Ws before next winter but with their new tire(AT4W) being so much heavier i'm probably not.
    The Duratrac RT,or the new KO3 are gonna get a look,maybe the BajaBoss too.
    I see no reason to run an E tire weighing over 60lbs on a half ton unless going up in size(then you are pretty much forced to).
    I'm staying with stock 275/60/20 size.
    Snow flake,deeper tread,aggressive AT,50lbs or so.
    Maybe the KO3 will even be available by next fall😂😂

      Also look into the Yokohama Geolandar G017 XD AT tire, seems like they have what you want 3PMS, lighter weight, moderatly argressive tread block design(symmetrical tread block = no inner or outer sidewall makes tire rotation easier, the Baja Boss AT tires are asymmetrical), and a durable tread compound. I am planning on getting the 275/70r18 size Yokohama Geolandar G017 XD AT for a half ton, daily driver truck as well.

      @Icutmetal 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@gen1c8rs88And how on earth would an asymmetrical tread make rotations more difficult? Are you taking the tires off the rims? 🤔

    • @gen1c8rs88
      @gen1c8rs88 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@Icutmetal Yes on the Baja Boss AT thier is a outside and inside labeled on the sidewall, so when you rotate from left to right or right to left you should to dismount the tire.

    • @Icutmetal
      @Icutmetal 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@gen1c8rs88 That makes absolutely no sense, c’mon now. Think about it…the tire mounted to any rim will always have the same face pointed inward. An asymmetrical tread is different than a directional tread.🤦‍♂️

      @@Icutmetal Yes your right it's directional, not asymmetrical, thanks for the help, Mickey Thompson mentioned asymmetrical and I did not think about it enough🤓👍✍👏

    Should have spun each tire as you were talking so the viewers can see the cross tread. This angel is limited.

    Kevlar - I’ve seen that overseas the new Duratrac came with Kevlar, will Australia also have Kevlar in our Duractracs? Also why does the new MT not have Kevlar like our outgoing MT/R’s did. The Kevlar is what made them such a great remote touring tyre option with the reliability that it gave.

    This is clearly a sponsored video where showing the name is more important than showing the tires.
    Tires should be angled more towards us, so we can see the thread pattern more clearly.
    Not putting any of these tires on my list, purely cause I couldn't see how they look.
