Why we loved Kamelot with Roy more? because it's not Kamelot with Roy, it's Roy with Kamelot. Wherever he goes he brings his own kind of aura and makes band sound special and...his. He is magic. We love you Roy. You were born to sing.
What about the rest of the band? Roy is not the only one coming back but the whole Conception is...
Actually Kamelot is quite alright at present,it's different of course but very good indeed ;)
@@MrRoziuke I'm sorry but what Thomas did was replace Roy with Tommy because his voice was the closest thing they could get. Kudos to them for keeping it going but it is NOT the same and just sounds like a Kamelot tribute band.
@@DamfinoMR2 it cannot sound the same 'cause Tommy's voice is very different from Roy's (it's straight and plane while Roy's -wide,round and rich in overtones & texture).Nevertheless the current Kamelot is very good and their new songs are worth listening anyway . In many respects they still have specific Kamelot sound :)
@@MrRoziuke In fact, they chose Tommy exactly because he wasn't the closest thing to Roy they could get. Vasilis Georgiou of Sunburst was one of the finalists and he would have been an exact replacement. But Thomas chose Tommy exactly because they would evolve Kamelot's sound together. In a nutshell, Roy's shoes were to hard to fill, so they picked a new pair to walk in
I've been a fan of his since Roy was in kamelot. His voice was special, dark, and very fascinating. That's why I was so heartbroken when roy left kamelot. Not because I don't like tommy, but because I can't hear roy's voice.
Until I discovered conception's channel, I used to desperately spend time searching for roy's updates on youtube or facebook. (I wouldn't do that. There were only rumors there.) And I found this channel. I played all the videos on this channel all day long.
I am still very happy to write this comment. Although I followed roy here, conception's music is really good. All instruments blend and blend in harmony. I like the melody. I like the flow of songs that sway like waves.

Don't worry about the English, message in comment was absolutly clear my friend and I would say most of us felt that empty place/feeling when Roy anounced his hiatus and were reliefed when we found him returning to Conception.

Im just happy that Roy is making music again.. This mans voice is incredible. Id kill for a chance to see him return to Kamelot. The Black Halo was a huge impact on my life as a teen.
Kamelot is fine now if you only listen casually, but if you actually read the lyrics and hear the repetition you'll already know Kamelot's soul was gutted when Roy left. He wasn't just the lead vocalist, he was a major part of the songwriting as well, and it shows. Roy's music is symphonic poetry, and I'm thrilled to hear him sing again.
