I was looking at a video a few years back, I think it was "best metal songs of 2000-something" that had short clips of various metal songs that had come out that year. The album cover of Tales of the Sands appeared, the drums started playing and I swear, the first 10 seconds of Merciless Times was enough, I was sold. My first reaction was "Oooh! What. is. this?" Some bands grow on you over time and others are just love at first sound.
