Be it Tommy or Roy both have very uniquely powerful voices and I can't say that I like either more because they are simply too different and I think that's awesome. Tommy brought Kamelot to a different era
I think kamelot has molded tommy into what they wanted and it paid off. At first I wasn't on board but now since he has found his voice in the band it just sounds amazing!! It's just amazing to me how he has two different styles one for this band and one for seventh wonder!

@@rendy2205 but Thomas created Kamelot, right? Why shouldn:t he continue what he has started? The band is doing great. They did well performing Khan's songs on the new dvd. I don't see anything wrong with it
Honestly, we should admire what Tommy and Kamelot have achieved(It is 2020!). Because of Tommy, we are able to see how good Kamelot is. Kamelot changes their style a bit to fit the singing style of Tommy, just like what Touams did to Nightwish(Tarja, Anette, and now Floor). (Being a fan of Tommy since he is in Seventh Wonder)
I think Tuomas did some of his best writing with Anette, though she is my least liked of his vocalists. She's great in her way but I never thought it was a good fit. I mourned the Tarja era for years, then we were BLESSED with Floor Jansen (who I already loved, actually). If it weren't so disrespectful, I'd wish for a Floor remake of Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum. She kicks so much ass. The work she did before NW was really heavy and impressive. 😁
I'd like to see Roy singing the new songs of the band. I think we just compare them in a very unfair way. I really love old songs but also the new ones and I am sure that those songs with Roy, would never be the same.
@@reinaldodiaz5760 Roy also wrote the vocal melodies of the songs. After hearing them hundreds of times, you get used to hearing them under a certain voice. Tommy even sings the old Kamelot songs in a lower key, probably just to preserve his voice especially as he nears 40 and doesn't have the same range like he did 15 years ago when he could belt an F5 without breaking a sweat. You want raw feeling from Tommy on songs he actually had a hand in writing, One Last Goodbye or Tears for a Father from Seventh Wonder's Mercy Falls are pretty darn good.
I totally disagree. Tommy saved Kamelot. It surpasses Roy Khan because he can't stand to sing Kamelot songs anymore. Roy Khan in the last festivals even used auto tune. In addition, for roy khan to sing he needed to lower the song by 1 tone and even then he sang only in the bass. It surpasses.

@NODA_Republic I agree... At some extent.
