There’s no channel better at putting out Steve guides, or just character guides in general, than yours. Huge props to you, this page has helped me improve me Steve game ten fold lol
Simple guide that a Steve player at any level can use and learn from, this is the first Tekken I’ve decided to pick up the boxer and I won’t lie he’s super difficult but he feels really rewarding when you make someone explode for throwing a high
You should make a general pressure guide with steve, i haven't seen anybody going in depth with his "flowcharts" even if its a dirty word, i feel like so much of my offence just falls apart of they have a good mid homing move
This is a great idea! I always believe that everyone uses a flowchart, and that a good flowchart has options and plans for every outcome, and a bad flowchart just crumbles under a failed knowledge check. I will work on this!
This was very helpful I’m recognizing a lot of moves and options I should use more frequently, Steve is a character that has always been a second main especially in t7 where I had my actual main AK, in t8 I’ve been playing Claudio and Kazuya the most but I want to fully commit to Steve and even play him at locals.
Also there's another thing you can do if you decide to do dck 2 and they block it. If they commit to terrible punishment like jabbing after they dck 2, you can do q b2 into sonic fang. Keep in mind, if they throw out a fast and high range move, they will still hit you during b2, so be careful. But generally it works vs jab checkers.
Another setup that I use in red and purple rank is the uncharged gatling gun. Safe on -9. You can mask it behind df2 or 121. Df2 works reliably for me. Backsway after and bait a high attack or do nothing
I suggest you try to play safe first and cancel the LH transitions to get info on them. If they love jabbing or throwing out fast highs after those, you can bet it'll work the next time you throw it out. But don't make it obvious or you will get punished
You have to hold back and go into flk after every B1, else the move becomes -14 on block instead of -1. Plus going into flk cancels into DCK way faster than not.
Steve is difficult, but don't play him like how the pros play him and fish for counter hits all day. That's not his strength anymore. You have to poke all the time and steal your turn back with left or right weave 1,2 into a forced LH mix. That's a solid and easy way of playing Steve until even the gold ranks!
Yes, it's very much like a standard df1 string. High is safe but duckable, mid is unsafe. If the first hit of Wildman hits, it is easy to hit confirm the 2. If not, the 1 is delayable or you can opt not to do it
I play a lot of fighting games and no one is doing character specific guides like this guy! Keep up the greatness GUV!
Thanks for the kind words friend!
Fujin Steve main here, I would say I'm comfortable with Steve, t8 being my first tekken online... watching you, makes me feel like I'ma 1st dan lol
Reaching Fujin as Steve is no small feat, keep grinding king 👑

I'm so happy to hear that! I will always try my best to keep improving to help you guys 💪
Great guide, us Steve players need all the tech and advantages we can get vs the OP characters
The best channel ever for steve guide ngl
I'm really flattered, thank you very much! 🤘

Hitting a juicy counter hit on someone has to be one of the most satisfying feelings in T8 👌
Steve family here
Guvgang 🥊
I don't play Steve at all, but your guides are so relaxing to watch. Great work!
I'm glad!! Maybe one day you'll be tempted to pick Steve up too. He's such an awesome character
@@soulxcv One day maybe! He's way too big brain for me tbh 😛 But thank you for the encouragement!
This is a game where everyone has a great mid heat engager and tracking throws 10f. Steve main outrage is justified
This and too much aggression is making the game super homogenous if I'm being honest

thank you so much for this all these guides
You're very welcome! 😁

I hope theyr bring AK back soon, he's amazing!
My goat strikes again
Great video man!
Thanks, it means a lot! 😁

Oh yeah, and it still works even vs gold ranks!
Another banger from Soul, thank you so much bro
Thank u bro, u are helping me too much
Happy to help 😁

Gatling punches are really good utility-wise in this game!
Thank you!!!!!!
Good tuto
should i only use the setups to try get a hard read?since they are safe i can see what opponent does then let it rip?

Btw with jin high armor u can finish 1212 into backsway 2 into a very dmg shoutout to my Guy codeRed he’s a steve genius too
Yup, with some characters you can definitely finish 1212 into dck2 or backsway 2. It's good to lab these options as well!
how d o you get your games framerate to loook so buttery smooth?
A lot of settings I have are on medium, and effects are also toned down. I have the motion blur off too.
@@soulxcv good to know. Thanks for the tips! Great video :)
Should I still go into flicker after the B1 or just do B1 Duck?
Im pretty sure going into stance makes your duck in faster so ye, this applies for the wall combos too
You have to hold back and go into flk after every B1, else the move becomes -14 on block instead of -1. Plus going into flk cancels into DCK way faster than not.
Damn near ready to give up playing this character
Don't give up he will pay off in s3 he will be buffed into top 5 and by the end of the game probably stay at top 10

@@soulxcvgot to bushin with him. 1 more rank I appreciate this message man thank you

Can the opponent duck wr 1,1?

@@soulxcv that’s what I thought, but delaying your wr 1,1 into another jab string catches a lot of people
