Neutral is such a struggle for me, and throw breaking. Those are two areas I know if I improve I can definitely stay in blue consistently. Seeing you mention the triangle (or rock-paper-scissors in my mind) actually makes a ton of sense. Against Kazuya for example I find myself in situations where I’m just guessing mixups and I’ll duck hoping I’m right but that’s because I’m subconsciously trying to whiff punish and be extra defensive. I need to avoid constantly being in that situation with keep outs because they destroy me.

1:00 the best thing to do if you can literally day 1 is to play offline or a lobby match with an IRL friend and just play the game totally fresh. Just have some fun getting hits and getting a feel. After you’ve had fun, then you can go to training and figure out a baby combo (arcade quest will teach you an easy launch, tornado, ended) and look at frame data in your moves to figure out what your fastest and slower moves are and what’s punishable. Then go back and try some of your new knowledge. Keep repeating as you have questions

Man Tone, the weird camera swaps and whiffs as a Bryan main make it hard not to tilt lol. Bryan’s SS 2,1 has been sending me away from my opponent leaving me back turned, where I’m eating a mixup if not launched. I’ve stepped and done db1+2 and had the same issue (camera flip with Bryan attacking with his back turned and still needing to recover). From T7 I’ve come to accept that 99% of Bryan’s moveset whiffs near the wall on launch (if they don’t splat) and I need to pull back and read the situation. All of these other other goofy bugs that he deals with on top of not having any of the player friendly T8 mechanics/gimmicks is rough out here for a playa!
