thank you so much! I spend a just silly amount of time researching and taking notes. The google doc is the real prize, not the video. I'm just glad it all comes together and it makes a little bit of sense. :)
thanks! I think it's super important for whatever I'm talking about to be on the screen, or at least have chunks of things on screen for each section. the google doc (HIGHLY recommended to view) is sorted the same way, hopefully making it that much easier to follow the lesson plan :)
@@mastermind6000 Will do, definitely gave some useful stuff for me to practice with. Dunno if the info is out of date now but I do want to mention @ 58:40. I think the d3,1,2 string is actually pretty decent, on it's own raw it's bad but just doing the d3,1 for a quick low poke at 15 frames is ok, not great but a serviceable low. Really what its for is you can hit confirm the 2 finisher on counter hit for a wall splat combo.
@@MazDance it's not reactable, so if they choose ducking, you get messed up. same with db3, but that reward is much better. definitely similar, though, and i do use d312 just to try it.
First video of yours I've come across, and it's brilliant. The presentation, deep research, easy explanation, and decent layout all work so well. I use Lee, and I want to add Lidia, so a second part of all this is something to look forward to. Thanks for the great content
thanks, boss! it's a LOT of research. I already knew how to play her and it still took 3 days to prepare. But it's all worth it when the results come out! don't forget about the document! enjoy!
glad to hear. she's a lot of fun and kinda easy to just roll with. Learning what's actually going on and how to control it, gets pretty complicated. learn as you go and always have fun!
Fantastic tutorial!! I’m learning things watching this that I didn’t discover from just playing her. Thank you! (I would add one thing. In the “Evasive” section, her QCF 4 won’t crush most lows. It will miss every time. I wish it were a mid instead of a high because that would be a fantastic move if it did. I hope they change that in the future. It might make DF 3+4 obsolete but so be it. I mention this because players’ main tactic is to side step or side walk Lidia. Her tracking moves are extremely important, imperative, to do well in a match.)
I don't like to say "use this to beat lows" but it can happen and it's worth mentioning, at least. it improves your odds at winning the exchange in the event you did qcf+4 and they went low. no promises, but it might work. it's a little tough to teach that sort of interaction :)
Man, didn't expected about your guide (but i was hoping in it 😀) I must always thank you 'cos your guides are the only one that really alows me to understand how to use a character! 🙂no jokes, great job as always!!
Thinking about picking Lidia up while the gravy train is still going, despite Asuka's buffs I'm feeling like I need some oomph. Her animations alone are just awesome.
@@Joetime90 good point. they have had a rough time establishing Asuka as a *BOP* character, compared to the delicate flow of Aunt Jun. moves like f,f+1 make her feel like a real brawler. Lidia has a lot of that. lots of big, awesome hits but not quite the 'flash' of Asuka.
you mean 3,2 the launcher? I actually did that trick for a lot of things, like Armor King's DDT or that Noctis grenade move. For Lidia 3,2 I originally learned to time it off the hit spark, but it seems a bit tighter in this game. all the blue spark strings feel pretty tight. it's definitely a bonus, but if you can do that trick reliably, that's awesome!
can you make this kind of type guide for Alisa? cause your guide is so details with explanation. anyway thank you for making this amazing guide for Lidia 😊
not a lot. dashing in deeper is best advice, but even then it can be wildly inconsistent. it seems easier to do from HRS 3 than to do it from df+4~3, so you could work on that to see just how deep you can actually dash, then refine it.
it jails on low hit, but if they were already ducking (a risk for any unseeable low poke) then the penalty is getting launched. there are a lot better things I think you could be doing than risking that for a small reward. if they never anticipate lows, then there's no worries. so if you can manage that, then it's fine. just a bad risk/reward imo.
that's a good use, especially since you can mostly confirm that you got the counter hit. it's risky, but so is db+3 which I would consider a good low. gotta take the chance sometimes!
man this is so clutch, no one does guides better than you!

Fact, I’m here from the jun video, it got me to raijin btw😭
Small correction it's actually up 4 and not up forward 4

Ok with this and the Jun guide I have no excuses anymore. I WILL learn Tekken.
Thank you

I learned a lot from your Jun guide, so I’m glad to see you covering the next character I’m learning!
lucky! these take a while, and there will definitely be more, but only characters I pretty much already know are gonna make it for a while.

it feels good to hit people. she has that *pop* on impact and it feels like you're watching a karate movie. good times.
@@mastermind6000 her or Asuka for pop factor? Asuka is kinda scrappy though...

good stuff 👍
The 4,2 spark i press it as this 4,[1,2] that way gives good timing for that blue spark.

Not me watching this to try and learn how to fight her because i can't lab without forking over the cash

I notice you say "hella" a couple times. Are you from the Bay? 😅
Do you have any tips on landing ff43 finisher more consistently?

I’m learning Lidia since 2 weeks every day, movelist, guides etc. I have a 23% winrate rank. I don’t get it. Every says Lidia easy to play 😅
you have to know how to play tekken before knowing how to play a character. watch basics guides and see what you may be missing.
Anyone play on ps5 and wanna play against each other im new and im trying to learn more tekken but everyone just egos me because im a mk player 😭
I use d3,1,2 at the wall if the opponent mashes heat burst when they are at a framedisadvantage
