I've tried downloading the Kontakt 7 player multiple times, but it never shows up in Native Access. I even downloaded Komplete Start, and the player is supposed to be included in that. I do have Kontakt 6, though, and that's the only player that shows up in Ableton. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.... Kontakt 6 is fine, but the issue is that one of my VSTs doesn't show up there. Of course, that could be a totally separate issue.
So i just got audio imperia collection which plays through kontakt 7 player, but once kontakt 7 player was installed through native access, under installation path it doesnt list a vst location. thus i dont see it in ableton's plugins tab. whats wrong here?
Di's you notice where the vst plugins for imperia collection are installed to? I'm not familiar with that collection sorry. It is installed directly through native access?
hey guys so i installed kontakt 7 and it created only an application and no dll as well, so we have to same problem turns out, for kontakt7, it should actually download a vst3 instead of a DLL for some people, but I still didn't have it in the end, I realized that ableton actually just figures out that you have the kontakt application and it shows up in the plugin folder so there is no need to drag in a vst3/dll or anything. i guess it just automatically detects that you've downloaded kontakt 7
It works as a plugin for Ableton Live, you have to set the plugins folder within Ableton Live to point to where the Kontakt VST is located, I think I show that in the video, does that help?
@@gahowell1 I installed Kontakt 7 Standalone, no dll is created for it as it was for the older versions (5 for example). No Kontakt in my Plugins list. Also I have put everything in the 64 folder (as you show). Just scratching my head why there is no dll for kontakt in the 64 folder.
native made a komplete mess of my folder management (Pardon the pun), by installing stuff in scattered manner. I guess i should've checked beforehand , but just, DAMN!
What instruments do you have installed? Is Kontakt showing up as a plugin? Check where the vst's are installed and that Live is pointing to that directory too.
@@gahowell1 yeah konntakt shows as a plugin. i got one of the banks to show in the plugin but couldnt figure how to use them. it would just play the sample
Thank you so much for this, getting into DAWs is so complicated, and this was exactly what I was looking for!
You're welcome! Glad it helped :)
This really helped me!!!!!
We should all just realize how hard he works
I need more help friend. its still not loading onto my Ableton 11
Kontakt does not install as vst, only as an application. I will add that the reactor works normally

same for me@@donbraga4863
And what are you to do with the 32bit plugins? :)
You would just install all 32 bit plugins to their own folder and keep them there if you ever need them :)
thank you so much!!

yo i cant figure out how to find any instruments in kontakt 7 player in LIVE.

@@inoiz8395 have you checked out any videos on how to use Kontakt and load plugins within Kontakt? Sorry I don't have a video on that.
Kontakt just seems like such an unnecessary layer and complication. I dont understand why they just don't make regular vst's.
