Thanks guys for doing this much appreciated. I had a bad experience of church where the pastor was controlling and with no accountability. Other churches had straight up false teachings. I am lucky through all of this to meet a good group of believers to fellowship with and we are setting up a home church that we hope can be genuinely spirit led. I love your content and have gotten so much from it. If there’s anything I can do to help let me know. God bless you from Ireland ❤
Love hearing that you are setting up a home church! That's wonderful. I'm sorry for your bad experiences at church. It's not easy to find one where there is sound doctrine. And it's especially awful when the pastors don't have accountability. Glad to hear though that you are no longer part of those! Thanks for your encouragement and for being available for us as well 😇
I have always been going to church because I was born and raised a Christian so I've been one my whole life. My church experiences have been great because I have been to great churches with great pastors and I have connected with people easily. It is hard to find a church though sometimes because it's hard to know if the pastor tells the truth and if the people there are both nice and friendly. Have you guys always been going to great churches and do you always feel like it's hard to find a great church?? Lastly, have both you and your husband always been Christians too or not really?
I'm glad you have had mostly great experiences with church! But you're right-- it can be hard to pastor who has correct doctrine. Starting at minute 13:55, we talk more about our personal experiences. But in short, Matt didn't grow up as a Christian, but I (Alina) did. I personally didn't like my church growing up until we moved to a smaller church in high school. In college, it was hard to find a church where I felt like I belonged. As for Matt, he also had a hard time finding a church where he felt welcomed and connected.
Amen 🙏
HALLELUJAH 🙌
