If you've ever had a favorite piece of clothing shrink in the dryer, you know how upsetting it can be! Luckily, this process makes it easy to "UNSHRINK" your clothing! Хобби
I used 2 tablespoons of fabric softener instead of baby shampoo and it worked, so to anyone who wants to use fabric softener, it works
I always "unshrink" my cotton, rayon, cotton blend etc. clothes. I wash them cold and dry them on medium and if they shrink I dip them into my sink ful of just warm water and then hang them on my hanger from my shower rod and pull them gently and reshaped them that way. I push the item behind the shower curtain and let them drip. Later on I pull on them and see what else they need to be the length I need them to be and let them dry there. I have clothes that I have to do this process to just because they twist and are not fitting the right way, you know the sleeves or sometimes a legging leg etc. I hate when the seam is all twisted. I never use anythink other than warm water. It always works but it never works on jeans and like the lady said it doesn't work on wool. I saw a product on TV once, a solution, that worked to unshrink wool by softening and relaxing the wool fibers. I'm not sure how is called.
This worked for me! I didn't have baby shampoo so I used hair conditioner per another comment and my 100% rayon pants are saved.
Wonderful!! Glad to hear it! :-)
why is it always the husband....
Hello Jillee, I have a polar/fleece sweater too small for me, is it ok to use the same procedure and baby product for this specific material ? Thank you
missingno does it matter what hair conditioner it is
Hey Jillee, I have a question. Do you know what a good substitute for baby shampoo and conditioner? Could i use vinegar?
This totally worked! I shrunk my wife's cashmere sweatpants and this helped unshrink them. A million "thanks" for posting this video.
Marko Jokanovic might’ve saved my marriage. Hahaha.
simps
@Marko Jokanovic bosanski ?
@Preston Hocker i'm in trouble my husband's cloths is all shruk 😭 i hope this works
@@itisaisyah good luck!!

Yep my og Nelk hoodie got fucked. Looking to get it fixed so I can sell it
strangest thing ever is that I am a teenage boy watching this video so I can learn how to "adult"

Same lol
ivan dong I KNOW RIGHT
ivan dong relatable
ivan dong me toooo
i used my bath and body work shower Gel and it worked like a charm! Now my shirt is back to its normal size, and it smells fantastic. This video is a lifesaver. TIP: When you stretch it out its easier to do it when its soaking wet then take the moisture out, than the other way around (:
This method really works!!! I've tried on cotton T-shirt and it came back to normal! Thank you Jillee for posting it!
Wooooow. I can’t believe how easy this is. I just saved like half my clothes with this!!!! THANK YOU!!!
OMG I'm so glad u made a video out of this. I read ur blog and did the same thing but wasn't sure how to stretch my pants and in what directions. I followed ur video so let's see how well it turns out 2morrow! I can't wait! Thank u so much for making this video and for this great idea on 'how to un-shrink' clothes! Love it
It worked! I rubbed baby shampoo all over, let it sink in for a minute, rinsed it all off and while slightly damp, did my stretching exercises and holy moly - guess what? I grew five inches!!
seethroughwalls same with my willie
😺😺😺
A tip for wool sweaters if they shrunk. Plunge them into very (very) hot water and when (very) wet grab it by the collar swing up and down (while hot) until the size you want. Then, while it's very wet and heavy (from the water) hang them and let the water weight do the rest. My mom done it a lot o f times and it works. Hope you like the tip and it helps.
How hot is 'very (very)' hot? And I thought that heat was the reason for shrinking in the first place? Or is that only once it dries or is spun? Does the high heat momentarily loosen the fibers? And as for swinging, I worry that it would unevenly stretch, more where I'm holding on to it. And how would it affect the sleeves? Thanks.
@@SolidGoldHedgehog idk try it. Too many questions
I just put it on and take a hot shower lol
bonus points if you wear it for the rest of the day, frequently pulling and stretching it in all directions as it dries
Oh my goodness! I tried this and I didn't expect it to work but it has and it's amazing!! I love it! 😄
This is a quick way but if you happen to have washed your clothes, take them out as they are out of the washing machine without drying them. Stretch them out at the edges you want. Make sure the garment is still wet but not too wet. This has always worked for me. Your idea is very helpful though
u r adorable Jilee , the way u said " My dear husband shrunk my shirt" is so nice.
Thank you so much. I just got myself out of a lecture. I took a sweater from my older sister and threw it into the dryer unknowingly. This tip worked great!
Thank you! I shrunk the shirt I was planning to wear for family pictures the night before the pictures were scheduled. Did this as a last ditch effort, and IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM! Omg I was in tears!
Really enjoyed your video, you are easy to watch and not annoying. You are winning at RUclips! Subscribed!!! I look forward to not wanting to throw my phone while watching a video such as ones like this.
4:50 This should be at the beginning of the video...
Why?
Guys I tried this with my Nike sweatpants, and it worked amazing. It worked like a charm. I didn't use baby shampoo, I used regular conditioner. I'm really happy. Reply if you have any questions, I'll answer back.
Thank you lady.
***** It probably will, but I'm not 100℅ sure.
+Christian Ramirez thanks for your great review! Really appreciate it. A friend of mine just saved her favorite wool skirt using this as well! It really is amazing. :-D
+Andrea Ivanovska, I would assume that it would. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't. :-)
jaiinecupcake Any Conditioner willl work
iooi Either will work
This actually works. I tried it on a pair of my palazzo pants and they worked :)
I just bought a brand new beautiful Rayon blouse, My husband got to it before I had a chance to get to the laundry. He also shrunk a wool cap he bought me in Ireland. To about baby size...LOL! I love my husband and I appreciate all his hard work. Thank goodness I found your video!
OMG YOU sound like me!! My husband has shrunk so many things by trying to be sweet & doing laundry Its hard to get mad when hes being so sweet.
I got all hyped and then you said it doesnt work for wool :D
+wajietaus I watched a few videos about unshrinking wool. I haven't tried it, but the video says to wash in hair conditoner. Wool is essentially hair, so it won't hurt it. Don't rinse it out. stretch back to shape. You may have to put something heavy in areas to hold the shape. If you don't get big enough the first time, try again. Good Luck!
wajietaus love how positive u are lol
@@danihu03 you understand that baby shampoo and conditioner are just about the same right? what you just said is just what she said not to do with wool. you see once wool has shrunk it gets felted. there`s nothing to do about that so please avoid handing out false tips!
I did try hair conditioner on my Marino wool sweater n it worked. Yayyyy
@@danihu03 thank for the tip :)
Thank you so much! I had just gotten a new shirt and was devastated to see it shrunk :( but this helped so much! Have a blessed day!!
Thank you this was a huge help
Jillee, it does work for wool as well! with conditioner instead of shampoo :-)
Thank you I had 4 t-shirts on retired list but after I watched your video now I did and it works pretty good now the are back to the services
Oh my goodness when you said … “your dear husband put it to the dryer” 😂😂 so true
omg this worked on my pants and im so thankful i found this video
I recently bought a shirt from PacSun it was 100% percent cotton my mom ended up throwing it in the dryer and it got like 6 inches short! So I went online found her I used her method but I used conditioner. It worked ! I stretched a lot cause I wanted it bigger and it's perfect!
Thank you so much! It really works ❤️❤️
It helped me a lot❤️
My expebsive linen curtain after wash has been shrinked 3 inches. I felt very upset about it. Then I washed your video. I tried your method, amazingly it saved my curtain, it went back to previous lenth ( before wash). Instead of using baby shampoo, I used conditioner. Thanks so much for your video. Fantastic!
Hey, does it work as well with any hair conditioner??
I just bought a pretty long dress which badly shrunk after washing :((
This worked for me. I had some gloves that shrank in the dryer, and after treating them with the baby shampoo and warm water, I was able to upsize them to around 75% normal size.
Has anyone done this with a hoodie?
Okay the shirt is now dry and still shrunk. It looked bigger but when I tried it on it's the same. =(
Edit: I figured something out. Forget the water and all the hrs of waiting for your shirt to dry. Just slide your arms up your shirt into the sleeves and make a vigorous outward motion like a bird trying to flap it's wings. Rotate the shirt to do the same thing to unshrink the stomach and back. It works if you yank the neck as well. Don't go to crazy because you could rip your shirt. Not sure how that applies to other types of clothing though.
OMG THANK YOUUUUU!! I how a twenty one pilot shirt and it was expensive and it shrunk in the dryer and I tried this and it saved me!!! Thank u even tho I'm 2 year late :3

@The Media Lies Against Islam Yes but what if the width isn't the problem, but the length is the problem? How to lengthen?
You do this when its dry right?
@@renitafernandes2678 Yup.
Oh! great! you saved my pants!
Thanks so much!
Can you unshrink a polo shirt or sweater with/out a hoddie
Thanks I have a bunch of shrunken shirts and no reason to show off my man boobs. It's very uncomfortable and embarrassing too. Lol.
Saaaaaame
Just spent 150$ at champs on shirts and they all shrunk smh so damn pissed rn
A month of push ups and chin ups and you should be good to go my friend
Raghav Bhatia really?
Raghav Bhatia you realize that you saved my child hood
I just found out you can use fabric softener or hair conditioners if you don't have baby shampoo. I actually think they're better than baby shampoo. They also relax fabric..
it does work on wool sweaters. Did it, and it works great
Do we have to rinse out the baby shampoo out? I read in the comments about someone asking that too, but I'm wondering if having baby shampoo in the clothing is going to do anything to it after it dries.
hello i'm scott Harvey from Australia I love wearing sarongs they are woven cotton Ikat fabric from bali and it gets slightly shrunk sometimes and it upsets me because I'm slightly chubby around my waist I don't wash my sarongs in hot or warm water only cold ..after it is dry I iron it as i'm doing this I stretch it gently to I hope is back to the length of my sarong I love all my sarongs are long which I wrap as a skirt..on me can woven cotton shrink in cold water and is slightly stretching my sarong putting it back into its same length thankyou ps I wear and collect sarongs I own 162 sarongs in my collection they are from bali ...
I tired this on four of my shirts,it worked fine for me.
I used the baby shampoo and lukewarm water, soaked the shirts for about 15 mins, then gently squeezed the shirt to remove the moisture, used the two towels to gently pulled the shirt as mentioned in the video.
I have one question, can I now iron them now and wear them or should I wash them again and wear them?
and one more thing is it better to give these to cleaners outside or should I hand wash them at home?
All the comments “ I bought a new sweater but it shrunk ”😂😂😂😂💀
I've seen this video from others (to stretch sweatshirts, t-shirts that are too small) and this is the first time I've heard baby shampoo! Mostly it's fabric softener or hair conditioner
Nice one! Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a go. Usually I give my shrunken jumpers to the charity shop for folk who're smaller than I. ;-)
You are a literal life saver
can't wait to try this!
Thank you!!! I saved my favorite pants !!
Thank you this helped so much!
Amazing ironing tips
Thank you!
thanks a lot for this tip! its really work! 💕
If you have a garment steamer, it works a lot easier. And, it works for wool. Jiffy garment steamer, stretch as you steam. No soap.
great tip may have saved my husband's life lol:)
I wore my new favorite silk blouse (only one time) on Thanksgiving. It has been in the hamper with light colored clothes waiting to be washed since then. (I wash silk in my front load washer, but never dry) Well, since it has been so long, I forgot it was in there and I washed and dried it. Do you think this will work for silk? Thanks for your tip!
It's worked ! This idea save my favourite dress thank uh soo much I didn't had baby shampoo but I used conditioner instead of baby shampoo and it's worked
Great tip.thanks for sharing. Buy wouldn't you have to wash it again to get the shampoo out?
Thank you soo much, I had a shirt that I loved and I got 2 weeks ago and it’s my most favorite out of all and I didn’t see it while putting it into the Dryer and it shrunk, I quickly looked up how and I saw your video, it’s drying rn and I’ll comment to see if it worked!!
Ch3WBie Show did it work?
imFroXen , No, the next day when I went to try it on it was a bit bigger but not a lot,
Ah! Definitely must try this.
Thanks Jillie!!!!
It looks pretty good 👍🏻👍🏻
I've done this for years, you can just throw the garment in the washer as usual and let it go through all the cyles, take the garment out and do the tugging.
That's what I did and i think it worked shirts not dry yet tho so I don't know
all of my expensive zumiez clothes shrinks and i always wanted to know a way to unshrink them thanks
same!
Got a thrasher sweater yesterday and it shrunk
Omar Chaldersingh
Youre supposed to was inside out at coldest temp and lightest/delicate cycle
liluzivert da my shirt did lol thats why im here
are you sure you weren't just getting fat? Part of the first step is admitting you are getting plumpier
Did it on my vineyard vines sweater and it worked like a charm
It works! I had a pair of pants that shrunk a bit at the dry cleaners, and thought that’s it. I followed your video to a T yesterday, and today the pants fit fine again! I’m s happy camper lol. Thankyou.
Very good tip...Thank you.
I buy a lot of shirts from goodwill and they're all medium sized but very shrunk. I'll do this thank you!!!
Wool can be put in a bowl of Luke warm water with strong hair conditioner/hair mask - I’ve done it a few times. Good luck!
When I shrink my t-shirts, I just hang them to dry, instead of drying them, and they stretch out all by themselves. Maybe it depends on the fabric??
hopefully this works because i got a dress and forget to not put it into the dryer and the dress was like 50 dollars
Can you use this method to make normal unshrunk clothing larger? 🤔
Great video. Thx. Will this work on my new fave rayon dress? It shrunk in cold water in the washer! By one size for sure. I didn't dry it.
YOU SAVED MY FAVROITE PANTS TYSMMMMM
Does it have to be baby shampoo? Also, thank you for the video!
i did it with a wollen shirt and conditioner and it worked!
I tried it and found out about you after you've stretched your clothes , wait until they are nearly dry and takes on the item, you can strech it to fit your body just the way you want them to. i ledt ihe item on for drying, and it ended up perfect :)
This is a nice tip, gonna do it now
This is amazing..thankyou so much
OMG!!! thank you!! it worked :))
I just shrunk my favorite jumpsuit😭 I’m not sure what the fabric is so idk if it will work
How long does this technique last?
What happens after the next wash?
omg it worked!! thank youuuu
I accidentally washed a rayon dress. As soon as I took it out of the washer, it was completely wrinkled, so I took out the excess water and then ironed it to "smooth" and "stretch" it out. Have I wrecked it, seeing as I ironed it when it was still damp? In other words, did ironing "set the fabric" so that it can no longer be stretched? This is a rayon dress that does need "ironing" because it is a silky kind of rayon. I can wait until it's dry to iron again but I will have to iron it.
I stay away from clothes that need dry-cleaning. Without looking at the garments material I bought a rayon shirt to find out it had to be dry cleaned. I decided to wash it in cold water and air dry it. It was an adult large and was half its original size out of the washing machine. It looked like a 2 year old, size , baby shirt. I hung it in my closet and this year(2 yrs after I shrunk it) tried it on . I am heavier than 2 yrs ago but the shirt fits. I did nothing but hang it on a hanger in my closet. It may only take a year.
It works!!!!! Thank you.
I Intentionally took in some suit pants to make them slim, but they're a little too tight now.
Will this work to stretch them widthwise?
Great! I’m going to try this. Can I use Castile Liquid Soap if I don’t have baby shampoo?
I have a really cool adidas cotton pants i love wearing it. After i wash it and dry it, it fits perfect put after couple of hours it starts stretching and a bubbly thing appears in the knee area. How can i stop it from stretching?
I use hair conditioner and lukewarm water for wool sweaters and linen blouses.
its like magic!
Thanks, this helped!
Thank you!!
I will try it
I accidentally struck two of my favourite shirts and I can’t wait to try this
Amazing tip
Would this work with a rayon dress? I didn't think rayon would shrink so I dried my new dress that i got for my birthday and it is now really short!
I mistakenly shrunk some of my Wife's shorts by mistake and hope this works! Thank you!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Cool got to try it ....
Will this work if the clothes have been shrunk and re-washed for a long time?
Aileeny66 only one way to find out
It did not work
@@Aileeny66 damn, took 5 years to find out 😳
Just a question: I have a kimono jacket that is 55% rayon and 45% silk, and I have a matching top that goes with it which is 57% rayon and 43% silk. They feel just alike, but the tag in the blouse says "Dry Clean Only, HOWEVER the tag in the jacket says, "wash in cold water, separately, gentle cycle, then line-dry, can also be dry-cleaned. SO I decided to wash it as the instructions said in the machine.... however, I noticed it seems like now the sides don't hang down as far, but it's not a huge difference so I dunno if it shrunk or just my perception, PLUS I followed the direction on the tag, but should I have dry cleaned it just o be safe? AND will this process work on rayon?
Wool can be stretched. I have done it for 2 wool sweaters and they are fine.
