They really should make all the packs cheaper for us console players since we don’t get the full experience of being able to downloads mods/cc. But I refuse to get a pc because I’m already addicted enough to playing sims and that’s all I would want to do.

As a console player (PS4), who simply can't afford a gaming pc, we just can't help but deal with the "limitations" that come with playing TS4 with a controller.

I don't know if it can make you feel better, but many of us pc players kinda feel the same way for things like:
1. not being able to have high graphics settings because your laptop is a potato;
2. The more packs you download the more the game lags
3. Your pc becoming hotter than the sun
A better pc would solve these problems but 💶💶💶💶

I want to use it for college and other important stuff so I wanna keep it as perfect as possible.
So the laptop I have to play the sims is a 7 year old one that my mom bought at a low price not knowing anything about technology, that has a lot of storage but with low specs for everything else. It is just slightly above the minimum requirements for the sims 4 and it works well in cas and build mode but in gameplay it lags badly most of the time, not always tho.

I tried to play this game on console (because it was free on Xbox game pass or something) and let me tell you, I don't know what I was doing. It was so hard, I couldn't find anything in cas and long short story I gave up. My respect to all console players out there for playing Sims 4 in that platform.

Yes, the game is still fun without cc ! sometimes I feel a type of way when many pc people complain about a game issue and say “mods can fix that” when us console gotta just suck it up and deal with it.

I play on PS4 and I love it. I too once thought that I was missing out on having mods and cc...so I bought a pc. I immediately liked all the cc it had to offer, especially the women's shoes and earrings. I also loved being able to finally give my male sims body hair.
But playing on pc got old really fast after having to always move files, clean and organize them. Too much time and work for that. Plus, I downgraded from a 50 inch tv screen to a 17 inch pc screen. That shook me to the core! Anyways, didn't like pc, so I returned it and went back to console. I prefer it more, plus the controller in my opinion is actually easier than all those keyboard buttons. And, I ended up getting body hair in July's recent basegame update.. so I'm good. Lol
This game is what YOU make it. You determine how fun it can be...no matter what platform you game on.
As a console player (xbox one), I totally agree with everything. We are sooo restricted with everything even just typing in a cheat it takes soooo long lol. Its just a pain, would love for you to do some console content if you are able too!

I don't know what series of xbox one you have but mods for consoles are compatible I believe it runs way better in series x and s but with Xbox one it'll be a bit slower I really don't understand why console players get so many restrictions it's honestly ridiculous

I played on ps4 since it came out on console and just last year switched too pc and it’s a completely different game the game camera is so much better on pc even with a keyboard and mouse on ps4 it’s not nearly as good but also going back to console I never noticed the amount of bugs on the console version that they just don’t fix compared to pc it’s insane not to mention the loading screen times.
The Sims 4 on console is lagging at times so I literally have to watch how I play

BUILD TIP GUYS ; IN BUILD MODE FOR PS4 YOU CAN HOLD DOWN L1 AND R1 AND MOVE THE JOYSTICK TO SPIN THE OBJECT IN 360° INSTEAD OF REGULAR ROTATION.

Console Player here. I play the sims on my ps4, I have seasons, parenthood, and city living. I’m gonna also add that I’m a realistic player, not into anything supernatural related. I was gonna rant about how shitty it is being a console player which is why I rarely play yet when I do, it’s in very long increments, but i’m not. I just wanted to share tips that make the game actually fun for me, and if you’re a console player on ps4, drop some too please! It really sucks, I wish EA had more sympathy & yes I know I can just buy a laptop but mine broke & i’m going to college soon.
*Tips*
•Expansion/Game packs when they’re on sale. This is a game changer, I got parenthood & city living together for $40, so be on the lookout when they’re on sale if you’re cheap like me & invest in expansion packs you’re actually interested in. If you’re more of an occult player, you might have fun with both the city living and vampire etc.
•BE CREATIVE!!!! As a realistic player, 90% of my gameplay is families, which may sound boring but I make it very fun through creativity. Don’t make the same two parents and three kid household. I’ll share what I have going on rn, still pretty new bc I’m a dummy and overwrote my saved game WITH EVERYTHING… I currently have 3 sisters living in an apartment that i’m still renovating after running away from home. Older two sisters are nerdy and shy while the younger one is a menace! Have fun with your household, make mean sims, make your sims weird, and make them look different !!!! Also let me know if y’all wanna see the three sisters, they’re black!
•Gallery ID is somewhat your best friend. I say this because you can search up almost anything, base game sim with a certain body type, clutter, paintings, etc and it can spice your game up but some may have game packs you dont have so watch out for that. I left out houses because even if its a basegame house with no mods or cc, and i input the moveobjects cheat, EA still manages to make the house look wonky so i’m weary of trusting houses, again not the creators fault, i love them! All in all, the gallery ID has legit everything so utilize it, kinda like cc in a way.
•This goes with the second tip, CREATE DRAMA. Make that sim cheat on his wife and then have the mistress move in while his wife is preg. I used to be the type of player where I thought simplicity was all i needed, but chaos really brings it up. create mean sims, but not gloomy sims, they’re fucking annoying.
I hope this was helpful atleast a little, I rant and complain about being a console player or I can make the best of what I got( OR I CAN DO BOTH.) Also, im thinking of getting another expansion/game pack, drop some good ones for a realistic player. I really do appreciate this, you’re on my favorite simmers as a fellow black girlie myself :)

I’ve been a console player Since it first came out on console (Xbox) and I did start playing sims on pc but I love console more. I enjoy the cc but I feel like it takes out all the fun especially since I only have base game on pc and all the packs on console. I wish console players get the same respect as pc players also console is pretty easy to play on once you get the hand of controls. I struggled and still do to play on pc I’m always looking up keys on the internet 😭😭

no cause your right i started sims on ps4 and i felt gameplay was slower it was harder to actually play and the second i got a laptop and started playing on there i actually got into the sims im still infact playing my legacy because it’s actually bearable and i feel like i’m actually getting to fully experience the game not to mention loading screens on console or slow for having no mods and also the pack thing really does suck cause i have to rebuy all my packs on my laptop but i think it is very important to bring this up and thankyou for shedding light for the console players cause they do need it
As a ps4 and who bought majority of the pack for the game. It is kinds annoying that packs is overly expensive. And I kinda hate that when I watch a person we start talking about the game and it always about cc. Which I don't have a problem yet. But as a console player makes me feel left out and I never know what they tall about and always put us down.

sims needs to collab with cc creators more. I’m okay with the gameplay I have don’t get me wrong, but I want fricking eyelashes, good skin shading, better makeup, cooler eye colors, jewelry, shapes etc. (although they’ve gotten a lot better!) on my sims holy shi… and they better make it free if they collab

Its so dumb how when i got all the packs i have to re buy them like its the same account why do i have to buy them again i love the game but its nit fair how we have to spend like 200-350 to get all the packs again so were spending like $700 and its so dumb

I am a xbox one player, I really wish console players can get access to mods in general I know there is a few games that may struggle but there is some that are compatible with mods just they either choose not to allow mods or something else that I'm unaware of, as well the fact if you have the latest console they are able to run the mod with not much of a problem, it's just getting annoying that we have to deal with a stupid amount of restrictions.
Its not the mods that I'm unhappy about, I do like the base game to some extent, but I think for me its the save slots. I use an Xbox one, and I only get about 10 save slots while sims 4 on the computer gets a lot more. I've seen other people play the sims and since they play on computer, they apparently get more than 10 save slots. I do have a computer, but I have multiple other things on it and just deleting them doesn't fit right with me, since they are other games that I do like playing. Having to delete so much stuff just to be able to get the base game, which is about 20 gigabytes, which pretty much is 1/2 of my computer storage.
I’m so glad I’m not alone after watching this and reading these comments 😭 my laptop finally gave out on me after a good while and I could no longer play sims so I decided to give ps4 a try. I feel spoiled wit all the CC/Mods and simplicity of a keyboard and mouse but I’m trying to adapt to ps4. It also sucks that I have to rebuy ALL my expansion packs, stuff packs, and game packs… but anything for sims! 🤣🤦🏻♂️

As a console player with all the packs and a pc (laptop that’s not that great) player with very few packs… I love the cc and mods sooo much but there’s so many that I want that needs specific packs and it hurts because I don’t have them on PC, and I don’t think my laptop would be able to handle it. Plus I don’t wanna spend that much all over again. I usually just end up back on console.
If you have all the packs on console I’d say save yourself some money and just pirate the game on pc, you technically already bought them so I say treat yourself and get yourself that cc you want lmao

Facts I play console (Xbox). I’ve went from pc to Xbox planning on going back to pc maybe in a year once I get my computer fixed and graduate. I LOVE watching pc players for the CC but I also love watching builds on any system. I’m like you I wanna buy on Xbox first so I’ve been buying bundles although I probably won’t do strangeville on console but seasons, island living, and dine out are my fav for console
I started playing TS4 on consoles a couple of years ago and broke down and got out for PC. I'm torn because I love certain mods that come with the pc that adds to game play. I've been downloading mods like crazy! But I'm a builder and I find it so hard to build on PC. I can do it with no problem on console and I love playing on my big a$$ TV. Lol.

The sad part is that I’ve been playing sims since the first sims came out. I had the first sims on computer back In the day but since sims 2 I’ve played 2,3, & now 4 all on PS2, Xbox360, PS3,ps4,ps5 and Xbox one. I’m obsessed w the cc idea but know that I’d have to switch to PC to do it, I have a HP laptop and downloaded origin and sims4. Tried to download cc and mods don’t even think I did it correctly, don’t have a single clue on how to build on the laptop. I’m feeling so defeated on it but I’m going to keep trying 😭😩😢
As a teenager who lives in a very small house, my brother’s PC is the only PC we can fit in the house so I’m stuck with ps5.There’s also no cross gameplay and I’m not buying all of this AGAIN 💀

Tbh I know that the gaming experience is a bit different on console vs. PC, but ultimately, I don’t feel like the EA is hindering us from good gameplay. We get the same privileges, we just don’t get mods (which is actually totally fine with me)! But maybe I just don’t see what the problem is until I experience sims on PC!🤷🏾♀️

If we paid for sims 4 ( the same as people on pc ) why do we get less than them? The pc users have way more stuff and most of us console users can even buy all the packs or some of them. It’s mostly base game and a few different outfits.

My issue with the PC Sims 4 is that as a disabled person I am unable to play the Sims 4 with a controller. I have been gaming my ENTIRE life, from age 3 to now 27. My childhood was spent on console because of my hands being deformed from birth. PC was not possible for me to use for long periods of time. But this was an issue because past Sims games were absolute garbage on console. I will say the Sims 2 console story driven games were interesting, but if you wanted freeplay like you had in the PC version it just wasn't possible. Even Sims 3 on console only had 2 games, that being The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Pets (yes, separate games because DLC did not exist on console then).
Considering today that it has been possible for the majority of PC games to come with included controller support since around 2013 and 14 (the same time Sims 4 came out), the fact that Sims 4 did not do that and has not updated their game for that is absolutely disgusting to me. I already own a 2000$ gaming device that has the capability to use keyboard, mouse, AND controller. I should not have to shell out another 4000$ for a console, tv, and rebuy of the Sims 4 packs. I should be able to play with a controller on PC, with the console UI, as EVERY game made today does. If the UI already exists elsewhere, it can be ported to other devices nearly perfectly today, and this has been a thing for a little over 10 years now. I shouldn't be forced to be in constant physical pain with a PC just because EA is lazy. I'm literally told by the community itself that I should just "delete" myself for daring to complain about EA practicing DISCRIMINATION against the disabled community. That's how horrible the Sims is, it promotes ableism and abuse towards disabled players

i relate a bit with the pain of playing sooo much actually, i play on ps4 & have wrist & hand problems that dont allow me to hold “regular” controllers & reach the joysticks for long without pain..
idk if you’re at all interested so ignore me if you’re not but there is this group called Able Gamers that helps people get controllers adapted to them so we can continue playing without problems/pain & its totally free to us, just google them if you feel like it & maybe they can help you get an adapted control system so we can binge play as long as we’d like to without suffering :)
though it definitely should not be up to the individual player to make a game accessible to us. it is 10000% on EA for discriminating against people with disabilities & not making accessible games. also fuck EA for being greedy & not letting packs/kits/expansions transfer from one platform to another… if they wanted to, they would. like you said, the software is out there & other games do it, EA is sadly just okay with the low standards they maintain bc they still make money. ugh -_-“

As a mac laptop user, I don't have a lot of space on my computer and putting game mods and not CAS mods in the game really Really slows my game down. Most CC does, so I only usually have 1 or 2 that seems beneficial (like MCC tho I only use it when I want my big legacy family to all know each other and if you're not into that or playing on more than short lifespan, which i do bc I have a short Attention span, you don't even need that) and with it I have to save my game like every other minute. And since I have dodgy internet (live in rural area and don't have wifi) downloading CC is like an all day task that ends up making my game harder to play anyway.
So tbh I, as a computer user, don't think console players are missing much especially if they are able to get more packs. Just base game is great for some building but generally boring pretty quickly, but even one expansion pack adds so much more.
I finally got a few expansion packs and I've been actually playing the game and not just building so much more often since then. Like even once a week instead of the short bursts once every few months like I used to do. I see a lot of youtubers say how much nicer it is with CC and that's nice but I just don't need it if I have more than the base game. Also with youtubers, y'all have to make a lot more content all the time so it makes sense that CC is beneficial to you guys, especially with it being a lot of sim youtubers jobs. And I'm happy for the PC players who have a bunch of it, but I think a lot of us with no or little CC as our lot, don't really need it or want too much of it? Since it's more hobby than anything else. Though it would be nice to have my actual hair (there is Way too much straight hair in this game) or like disabilities and stuff or more traits, I think those are good criticisms for EA and not like things that will make me get CC, if that makes sense. And things that they are generally trying to improve, so if the mod community has helped with that I'm super grateful.
Oh and I'm sorry if this comes off as criticizing I'm very bad with words. I mean this just to tell what someone who doesn't usually have CC feels about it. I'm definitely not a console player, though! So you can take my word with a grain of salt

Abd i have all the packs on my pc over YEARS of buying and playing now im only limited to two. And i miss my mods. Mods MAKE this game and its sad i think EA and the sims know this and make the game for modders but it leaves console out.
I'm a console player on PS4 and the problem is the game is lagging I was literally building a small house and my game started lagging so whenever I play on console I have to watch how I play because I don't want my game to lag and not to mention the skill building cheat will literally caused you're game to lag after using it two times I don't build houses on the sims 4 anymore because I'm afraid it will cause my game to lag and i only play with 2 Sims in a household because more than 2 Sims will cause your game to lag

I just recently moved to PC from console and there is no way I have to pay for everything again. I’ve been trying to find shortcuts for 2 hours I can’t find anything. But I can’t accept the fact that there is no other way. I have to waste like 200 dollars again!? Over the same stuff too.
I have been on The Sims Console Community since Sims 2. Just that Sony do not like Mods. Hopefully sooner later they bring mods to console.

I'm a console user🙃. I've downloaded most of the dlcs and deleted other games just to run it as smooth as possible on my console😔. I can't wait to switch back to PC, but i won't ever abandon my console 💗

The things about mods and why they aren’t allowed on any console any system is evacuee not only can they break your game bewcuse a lot of them are untested they can also cause viruses to your system.
I just don’t understand why they treat us console players like this. I just want cc content but I can’t justify spending so much on a game. They can make so much more money if they offered it ps4 users

Is it possible to get notifications from the gallery on console? I've seen a news button on PC users vids but I have never seen this on my game. I get comments and questions on my uploaded content but I don't see them for months until I happen to click on that particular item in my library.
I don’t actually know. I didn’t even know there was a feature to get notifications in general lol
@@thesimyin Thanks. There used to be an option in Game Settings/Other to receive notifications. There is a similar option there now but I've never received any notifications.
