EA is a 42 year old company, people need to stop infantilizing them acting like “Awww, they made an oopsie” Companies less successful than them have been known to pull stunts like this under the guise of an accident. They were testing to see how much people are willing to pay, and embarrassingly enough people actually paid 20 dollars for two packs (ten bucks each) that should be worth 2-5 bucks each.
The only thing that worries me is how people still jumped to get the packs at double price o.O I'm okay with more kits, I don't buy those but I will if there is ever one I do enjoy, regardless of who makes it. And I don't trust EA/Maxis for pretty much nothing, lol, they are just plain greedy.
Yea, as a male simmer and one who primarily plays with male sims, the sleepover is not worth it for me. Barely anything for the guys. But yea, it’s crazy that people actually thought a Stuff Pack price was worth it for these kits.

As someone who plays on pc, the reaper rewards were broken for me. And it was really annoying, because a lot of people had the same issues, but they didn't fix it.
I literally told my BF if he wants to get me a birthday or Christmas gift to just go to Etsy or even find used clothes irl because I can’t feel morally good about accepting a NEW $100 hoodie 😭
I think they should allow everyone to get the kits for free for at least 12 hours but on my Xbox the kits always been 10 dollars for me when I bought them I’m shocked
Barely paid for any kits anyway , only one cause I liked the vibe , but my limit is stuff pack , any kits are kind of useless to me unless it’s very cute

I don't use Twitter either (I'm just not a social media person, i usually only care about videos like on RUclips), but from what I've gathered, weirdos and annoying people have been going on Bluesky. Even if i was the social media type, i wouldn't touch that website with a 100ft pole lol. I don't jive with the people who are gravitating to there, i stay avoiding them....
Isn't this the second time they've had "a glitch" like this? It seems their glitches usually results in their customers being asked to pay more or rebuying their games because it claiming they don't have such a game when they already do....
Idk if this is unpopular or not but I do not support EA's decision to work "Collab" with CC creators. It's nice on the creator's part to get some reward for their work! But that the creator's work, NOT Sim's teamwork. They still get a piece of that cash for each purchase without having to put ANY effort on their end. It's still great for consul players to have and great for CC creators for the commissioning but in the end it's just another lazy way for them to grab some cash. I do not support that at all. Why even consider buying from Shop the Sims? I wouldn't dream of it. I'm going straight to an independent creator for merch. We need to do a whole lot more than giving them a sideeye.
They do help, by overseeing the CC creator telling them to make their creations lamer...... Like when they have builders work on their packs and then telling them to dumb-down and remove features from their builds to make it more brand friendly or because some crap about how not all computers can handle it.....
What are my plans for The Sims? I'm honestly thinking of just deleting it, sooner or later. I only got The Sims 4 because it was Free on Console and I wanted a lazy, no stress game I don't have to pay attention to. Ididn't appreciate the fact that dreadlocks were locked behind "Jungle Adventure", but in reality, there aren't many packs, kits, game stuff that interests me in The Sims 4. I'm just waiting for this Death & Rebirth Sims adventure to stop popping up when I'm playing this glorified dress up game.
I hate how their packs are so niche...... In sims 2 every expansion pack was an actual expansion on the overall game, with these people working in sims 4 it feels like all the packs are "going to a very this specific place and doing these 2 odd activities that's themed in it"..... And the whole game is filled with random crap that don't blend together, everything put next to each other feels like a jumbled eyesore mess. You know it's bad when people have to go to CC creators just to get some cohesion and normalcy in the game.

I don't play Strangeville, I don't care about the story, I don't understand why I couldn't make a dreadlocked Sim without that expansion package and I don't like the fact that weather costs $40+ 😞 I have a Sim Home with Vampire Architecture, Family Architecture and even Jungle Adventure Architecture--it looks terrible, I admit--but there's not much to work with--to reiterate what you stated about how these packs have items that cause an eyesore of an aesthetic. But the base game is free 😂 Edit: (I don't want to be too negative, since I have so many hours in this game. I do see it as an escape from Capitalist Dystopia and enjoy the idea of my Sims having healthy, prosperous families that will be successful in life. I've even made a retirement mansion for my favorite Sims and I'm struggling to make my Sims become Elders, since I don't want to part ways with our fun virtual adventures of actually getting promotions on jobs! That's such a fantasy, I love how my Sims get rewarded for working hard! They have the possibility to grow old and not have to work every waking moment?! They can afford to raise a family and own a home?! I am coping with this game and maybe that's why despite how I dislike certain pay walls behind its content, I just don't want to be stuck with the morbid reality that my Sims have more financial and social freedom than me. 😂)

I Play On Consoles And Reaper Reward Is Completely Broken. Can't Compete Curtin Objective. I Play On The Xbox One X . But Yeah It's Completely Broken.
