Avalanche SEO - The Perfect Strategy For Beginners
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
- The Avalanche SEO Theory, or Compound SEO Theory as others call it is simple yet effective. In this video we're going to break down what it is, how it works, and we'll cover a couple real examples.
This ridiculous growth, is the result of the avalanche SEO strategy for a brand new blog for an ex client of mine.
By the way, guys if you want me to teach you SEO from scratch, check the link in the description for my full SEO course - use “march” at checkout for 20% discount this month.
What is it?
- Traffic tiers - the main thing is understanding that your site falls under a natural tier based on the current organic traffic that is getting - we’re going to go through a real example in a second
- and so that tier, will guide us into finding keywords that fit into our natural tier, and that IN THEORY we’ll be able to rank for easily, without too much SEO efforts, without any backlinks
- we need to create content targeting these keywords, the content should be good thats always a must, but once we post more and we rank for those keywords in our tier, then those clicks will push us into the next tier, with larger keywords and more traffic, and that will just continue compounding !
- Now, in theory you could also target keywords with higher search volumes, but those will be much more difficult to rank for and you’ll need what the avalanche theory calls “power-BOOSTS”.
- Power-boosts include anything from backlinks, onpage SEO, pagespeed score among a bunch of other things
- google can give the value of the boost, but google can also take that boost away. This is what a lot of SEO is. Trying to rank for terms that we’re not yet qualified for, with boosts that give our website the ability to compete with a keyword thats out of our natural tier.
- the goal is to create content for keywords in your tier, incrementally climb tiers without boosts, so that when updates happen your traffic doesn’t get slapped back down because of an artificial rank.
- its slow steady growth that is all within google guidelines, very whitehat and clean.
so lets run through a real example here.
lets take this old test website of mine, and take a look at the last 3 months of traffic
so what we want to do to find out what tier we’re in we want to find the average daily number of clicks that we’re getting and then go straight to ahrefs and lets start with something really basic
A couple of tips:
1. Don’t worry too much about keyword difficulty unless theres some outlier with a keyword difficulty about 15-20, then maybe stay away from that keyword.
2. Always make sure to properly take a look at the keyword results, and do normal keyword research don’t just start creating content because it has a 20 in search volume
Now what if you guys have a brand new website that has absolutely no traffic?
Well then the same applies, we just have to loosen up the keyword research slightly. What i’d do is go back into ahrefs, get rid of all the other filters, lower the difficulty slightly and then flip volume to find the lowest volumes even if it says 0-10 most of the time its more than that, and even if it is 10 clicks a month, that’ll get you started.
now again another word of advice, a lot of these tiny tiny keywords can be a fragment keyword of a more popular parent topic, and so i’d open up the keyword, and just check the results quickly to make sure that they’re not getting thousands of clicks a month because the traffic is coming from a different keyword.

Solid guide. Thanks man 💪🏻
Glad it was helpful!
The sites in the SERPs I look at 20-50 search volume are always above 70DR. How can I rank in search results where these are? I think it is necessary to act according to DR low search results.
What niche are you in man? This seems insanely competitive?
@@JaumeRos video gaming 😀
Sometimes DA/DR don't mean much. Focus on getting your SEO content score well above theirs. If theirs scores for let's say 40, make sure yours is at least 70. I recently have outranked a massive site with my dinky 5 Semrush rating site. It's because the content SEO score is higher than my competitors. I intend this helps you and never give up.
Great video. Leaving a comment to track my progress. I only have maybe 2 avalanche seo articles uploaded. Let's see how quickly this takes to work.
Lets get it!!!
Love this strategy.
It's really bomb
What about URL structure? For example building the main keyword page that maybe high competition. That main page has to be build anyway regardless of competition so more supporting pages can fall under the subfolder URL structure.
Not sure I understand your question - How should you structure the URL for the main keyword page?
@JaumeRos for example, "best car rim" is super high competition main category page. "Best car rim under $250" is low competition. The subfolder URL should be "best-car-rim/under-250". If I first create the page "best car rim under 250", then later I may have to deal with a bunch of 301 redirects to restructure the site. Hope I clarified the question. What are your thoughts on this?
how long would it take to rank a same tier keyword with having difficulty less than 5 ?
same tier means keyword having the same search volume as our website traffic
Shouldn't take too long - thats the beauty of the traffic tiers
OKAY SIR THANKS
@@JaumeRos
@@JaumeRos SIR IF MY WEBSITE HAS 28 MONTHLY TRAFFIC ?
CAN IT GET RANKED ON KEYWORDS HAVING DIFFICULTY LESS THAN 5 (ACCORDING TO SEMRUSH ) AND SEARCH VOLUME UP TO 50 TO 70
Did you come up with it yourself or did you steal the idea and just add crappy music? Because I don't seem to have heard any authors' sources.
Ahahah love this comment. I’ve never said it was my idea / im not taking credit for it. All im doing is showing it in a format thats easier to understand and to find. The original article from Chris Carter is kinda hard to find and read. Also what do u have against the music ahahah?
And Yes! the original article is and has alwsys been in the description.
thanks for watching my guy 🔥❤️🙏
Does this strategy still work after all the crazy events that happened so far this year?
Absolutely :)
@@JaumeRos Thanks bro. I would love to see you do more case studies.
Apart from Kyle Roofs explanation on this yours is right up there with his 👍👍 good stuff dude
Thanks for watching Mark!
Great video and yes, Kyle really nailed it. And it's such a awesome strategy if domain age is aged.
Would this SEO Theory work for all websites or just google searches example Amazon marketplace or etsy
Should work for any website!
Should work for any website!
Ive been working on my website for 60 days now, should i just revise everything ? im guessing no
No! why would you have to?
@@JaumeRos I was under the impression that I can only try to rank for a few keywords at a time. I do write a blog on my site so i can rank for those lower volume words with those blogs ?
I was thinking…his name is Jaume, I wonder if he’s Catalan 🧐 Hello, I'm an American in Barcelona also. I'll be checking out your other videos 😊
I am!! Fully catalan :)
@@JaumeRos great!! Bon dia. I'd love to connect on Linkedin. I'll find you there. What's up with your perfect American English?.
Basically lived abroad for a bunch of years!
@Jaume Ros You should have mentioned Chris Carter's name in the video about Avalanche. Not cool man. That's like talking about E = mc2 without mentioning Albert Einstein.
Please keep in mind that every other respected SEO youtuber who talks about Avalanche, always mentions Chris Carter's name. If you don't give respect to the other SEOs in the world, don't expect them to give respect to you. Hope you learn from this brother. Peace ✌
Hey! - the original post is in the description so people can find out about him there. Thanks for watching :)
the concept of ranking for rubbish keywords first is hardly unique or riveting information. literally everyone says go after smaller keywords. you're simply asking for him to credit someone for using a specific word lol
@@thanesbusiness5001 He used the term "Avalanche SEO" to draw in viewers. Watch other videos by more well known SEOs such as Kyle Roof, and they always verbally credit Chris Carter. It's a sign of respect to name the person. If mutual respect among SEOs is not your thing, then that is fine by me. Your life, your choice. Be well my friend.
@@bergencounty6602 again, hardly a new idea. Why credit someone with the same idea as almost every other RUclips SEO?
@@bergencounty6602your life your choice. Correct, so stop telling people to play by your own irrelevant moral rules.
hey nice video but u look alot sexier in long hairs
ahahah thanks for watching!
How would you apply the avalanche method for local seo? Would use a local modifier (ie: custom home builder charlotte nc) when doing our keyword research & writing articles or would you use just the keyword/topic without the local modifier?
Yeah definitely add in the local modifier! That's how you win in local SEO, best roofer in charlotte, best roofer in x nc etc.
@@JaumeRos Thank you. So in your example, you would enter that into ahrefs and then whatever keywords that fit your tier you would work off of those, whether or not they include the location modifier or not?
