Edit: Hey man, if you're just gonna suggest another example of Japanese people using Indian music, others already have, and that doesn't change the fact that this was new to me when I posted this. Okay, see ya! \m/
This is not Indian music, This is middle eastern. The lyrics are about indian stuff. Go listen to indian music and middle eastern music. The beat is different, the instruments used in this song are also middle eastern. Beat and melody are middle eastern, arabic.
@@ボルト-v6k It's kind of both. Thousands of years of cultural exchange and shifting borders led to many similarities regarding style, rhythm, instrumentation and theme. You'll find some of those elements everywhere from Greece in the north-west to Egypt and Yemen in the south and India in the east and probably beyond. It's like trying to pin-point what we would now call "Celtic music" to any particular region or country.

They have always given some different touch to the music. PS Still there are some other metal bands that gave some Indian style to them music (but maybe not this much)
@@Sabre_Wulf1 Well, metal cannot necessarily be simply defined by words and it's fine if you want to call this metal. But to me it sounds more like EDM/pop than anything else, based on the song structure, 4-on-the-floor style of beats, and use of sampled/synthesized drums/percs and synth leads/bass, etc. There aren't even real drums or bass guitar in this track and electric guitars are the only instruments you would hear in 'metal' music. Musically speaking, there is nothing reminiscent of metal in terms or riffs, chords or song structure at all, either. You could argue that there's no such thing as "true" metal riffs/chords/structure but to me, just like Beatles or Britney Spears don't sound metal, this song just doesn't. And I cringed when I heard that snare sample at 1:27 cause it's by far the most commonly used and overplayed 'pre-drop' sample ever in EDM. Just my thought.

When they played in Chicago, this song was the highlight of the concert. I nearly cried watching them because how beautiful their voices were (not to mention the choreography is perfect). Hearing the studio version of the song makes my ears happy. Easily my favorite Babymetal song now. ♥️

Anyone else get the impression that as big as they are now, they are about to take it to a new level with Metal Galaxy? Cant believe the quality of the new songs, the choreography seems tighter, and Su is just a force of nature now.
With how they were able to penetrate into the western market, I believe this might just be the push they need.
If anything the current album has just enough classic BM and your 'mainstream' Metal genre. Listening to the snippets from the album, you can tell they experimented alot with this one.

It's truly impressive how many different styles of music Babymetal uses. I've never seen Japanese people using Indian music like that ever before.
Edit: Hey man, if you're just gonna suggest another example of Japanese people using Indian music, others already have, and that doesn't change the fact that this was new to me when I posted this. Okay, see ya! \m/
They are really unique in that regard. I wonder what would happen if say, they teamed up with Devin Townsend? Lol. Nothing would be out of bounds.
It's not that uncommon. Look up Happy Summer Wedding

Im not purchasing their album because its quirky, that shits gone...im purchasing this because its a genre gamechanger!. Well done girls, well done indeed.
They have always been a game changer and have been fighting the system all along. That's pretty metal for three small girls.
They have always given some different touch to the music.
PS Still there are some other metal bands that gave some Indian style to them music (but maybe not this much)
But this isn't even metal anymore.
@@leinad2934 define metal !
