The 34 Alpha Chest Rig is a split chassis that will interface directly with the existing line of Spiritus Systems straps and pouches.
This is a true blank-slate platform that enables load-carriage configuration options for weapon ammo of nearly any caliber, and when combined with the Spiritus Systems current Pouch Suite, the end user’s options are near-limitless. The system is constructed to be as low-profile as possible to add minimal bulk to the finished split rig, letting the end-user configure a chest rig that does exactly what they need it to do on any given mission without added bulk or unused space.
The system can be paired with a set of Micro Fight Fat Straps and Back Strap to create a complete platform for a wide range of load bearing configurations. The panels are built with Squadron MOLLE front faces and elastic cells on the back for extra storage. The bottom of each 34 Alpha Panel also has a hook & loop slot to mount hanger pouches. The chest rig panels are connected via two sliding Fastex buckles that provide a secure connection point, as well as quick, one-handed, opening and closing when engaging in activities that may require an open front configuration (i.e. going into the prone). They also allow for micro adjustments at the front without having to modify the width of the back strap.
Each panel features six columns of MOLLE on the front and is compatible with all of Spiritus’ GP Pouches, our SPUD Pouch, the Liberty Dynamic Flash Bang Pouch, the JSTA Pouch, and Nalgene Water Bottle Pouch. Top of the panel is built with integrated anchor point holes that give the wearer a secure solution for internal magazine retention when combined with our bungee retention kit, or to tie down secure items stored on the chest rig pouches.
The internal elastic cells in the back are sewn in at three different widths to accommodate a wide range of items ranging from pistol magazines and multi-tools, all the way to 7.62 rifle mags and more. When assembled, the 34 Alpha Split Rig gives end-users access to a load bearing solution that will support a wide range of weapon platforms, mission profiles, and loadouts.

Excellent product here! Marine veteran here, I have been doing my best in finding a modern design chest rig that has mag pouches off to the side. I found out QUICK how important it is to lie down as flat as humanly possible while going prone. Also in a jungle environment, it’s imperative to have a nice light rig that carries weight near waist and midline. It gets hot fast and you don’t want to go down because you are wearing gear that cannot breathe. I can’t say it enough, this is a game changer. 🍻

Everything shown is incredibly dope. Ya’ll clearly think about the “why” more than other brands.
I’d love to see basically a hybrid of the SPUD pouch and JSTA; a single layer pouch w/ optional pangolin flap that is Velcro lined for all of your inserts.

THIS. Spiritus Team. Would allow more secure containment of awkward items in the JUSTA. ie your 16oz Nalgene fits, but not quite as securely as I'd like.

100% there's a need for more gear for us in reconnaissance. I love the fact that y'all created this and the thought y'all put into this piece. The subtle details implemented in this rig make all the difference but, I wish this would've came out sooner before I established all my shit for my role. Lol. I love that you guys didn't let the back of the rig panels go to waste, however I am a bit perplexed by the decision to include one 7.62, one 5.56, and one pistol/utility sleeve. I feel like 2 7.62 sleeves would have been more appropriate or allowed for a more various use of the rig. 7.62 already has issues when it comes to obtaining a combat load on rigs and placards, so I feel like trying to get the best of both worlds on this rigs ultimately makes the rig suffer.

it's got a lot going for it than just being another split rig. I think a chest rig is just a chest rig, but what really needs to get updated/repinagined is the actual harness portion. so much is getting done with all these new materials, I think there can be better than just folded Cordura and webbing.
pretty excited to see what that new pouch is about though

One thing is I don't really like to put my tourniquet out and hanging under my GP pouch, so I can't wait for the radio pouch to come out because in the video I see there is a tourniquet pouch of some sort. Also can't wait for the pouch will fit into the hook and loop field.

    Design Modification Suggestion - On the individual panels where the 4 side fasteners are attached for the front and back attachments, consider having them attached at the same heights as the top and bottom cut points for weaving on pouches. If they are lined up with the top and bottom most attachment Palls Webbing, with enough length to weave Malice Clip or integrated pouch strap, pushing the usable row area one spot right and left of the panel. This will give the end user the option to push pouches one row over ether side with the option of attachment points, taking it from 6 usable row to 8 if required. For example, I could run;
    Left Side -Front to Back:
    -Spud Pouch,
-Multi Platform Radio Chassis Mk5 &
    -GP Tall Pouch.
    Right Side -Front to Back:
    -Spud Pouch x2,
    -GP Tall Pouch.
As Light Infantry, that would be my ideal load barring set up. That’s what I plan to set it up when I purchase this product. Hopefully this gives you something to consider. Thanks for reading.

I used a split rig as a SAW gunner. 4x 100rd nutsacks on the front. However, ran a leather man pouch in the weave on the left side of the front buckle. You need instant access to a tool when you’re a machine gunner. After that you’re right for space, IFAK on one side and GP pouch on the other. Kept the backside slick for riding around. This was a tac tailor mav with the improved harness. IOTV underneath, best part of the split rig was putting it on with all the weight of ammo. Slip it on like a jacket and buckle the front. Pretty dope set up, even in training worn without body armor it was super comfortable. Any machine gunners out there, consider these thoughts.

I love you guys are always forward thinking. I used the mayflower split rig years ago. I like this for the fact I can set up how I want it.
For me the biggest issue is fit and load displacement on my shoulders from injuries/surgeries etc for long missions. I could maybe see with this, adjustability for should width may be a nice add with weight shifted to outside of center.
But as I said I will have to use it first .👍🏻🇺🇸DoWork

Looks cool guys, just wondering why it wasn't designed more akin to 2xMk5 so it could use the inserts? That way you could carry 6 556 or 4 762 without double stacking and provide faster access to the 'inner' mags Vs the sewn elastic. I'm sure this was considered so just curious why this design.

Did you guys play around with different "lengths" when designing the split front i.e 8 Molle Columns each panel etc? I can't help but feel 6 is a little too micro and perhaps 8 would be more ideal. This would allow an extra pouch each side to be mounted. Noting that you designed this with Recon/Snipers in mind...wouldn't a "sustainment" type set up be more versatile?

I've got a comment...and y'all's stuff looks amazing, by the way. A lot of Americans are using AKs, 300 BLK, ARs chambered in 7.62x39, Ruger 30 mags, etc. It seems like the majority of companies that make chest rigs or MOLLE equipment don't plan this into their platforms. What kind of options do you have or what options have you specifically designed into your gear for Americans that choose these alternative calibers?

  • @tannerbosley6155

Fuck yeah. This is great, exactly what I’ve always wanted. I’ve jerry rigged my own split harness setups in the past. I also used to run a TYR tactical sniper coma harness, which is great, but I always wished I had a smaller split rig option. I could carry a full load with 6+ 7.62 mags but that got bulky. Plus the coma harness has a placard on the back, which I usually put a butt pack or something on. But as you said, when you’re carrying 100lbs of ruck doing recce shit, that sucks and gets in the way. I like the open back H harness design. Definitely getting this. Thanks guys. 🐍🏹

When I used an RRV style chest rig, if I had to go into the prone position or lots of ruck marching. I wouldn’t put the waist strap around me, but I’d do it up. When I would go into the prone I’d shove the RRV up in front of me so I wouldn’t be laying on it. During ruck marches the fact that the waist belt wasn’t done up it would allow for more ventilation while doing heavy activities. When I did do the waist belt up, sentry, being a passenger in any vech or doing A to C as light infantry

Sure, but remember this isn't supposed to be a super heavy rig. 2 spud pouches can fit 6 .556 mags no problem then with another 4 fitting in the rear pouches your at 10 plus one in the gun. Do you really need that many mags at the ready? Maybe you do but I'd say most don't. Any additional mags could stay in your assault pack or in a GP for refilling the cells.

I like it a lot, but I don't like the way the buckel connects the from the side. I want something like a straight back pannel like vest at the back like a wrap around the body to stablelize the stuff.

I know I’m getting ahead of myself, but I’m super interested in that hydration/GP mixed pouch. Finding a way to carry nalgenes is a problem target has not been sufficiently addressed in the market.

Need something along these lines but a full on belt system a la the velocity jungle. Something that can accomodate a saw/machine gunner loadout.

I'm very excited for this! Will it come in all the colorways? I was very sad to see the spud pouch didn't come in Tropic. Seemed like the perfect color to have built-in scrim

Only the typical squadron colors for now, until the manufacturer develops the other patterns.

I felt the same way but in order to offer that they would probably have to use a lower grade material just for the colorway. Ranger green goes great with tropic! That's what I went with for the spuds. I've also found that regular MC mixes really well with tropic. I'm not big on everything having to match but I get that some people are.

That gp/bottle/radio pouch looks tight, would prob buy if I could fit some water and a 10x42 bino in there. The ability to go prone with this looks amazing for recce but also hunting applications. One question I have is will a shoulder strap on a ruck or backpack squeeze a pouch/the rig against you making it inacessable?

    • @SpiritusSystems
      @SpiritusSystems  2 года назад +4

Thanks! That pouch is coming very soon. Also, you should be able to configure the split rig into a position where that doesnt happen. We have a ton of users using this with rucks no problem

I think you missed a mark with the bottom pouch and I think I might have a direction you might not have thought of. I'm pretty sure you're using the Eagle H Harness out of the SFLCS kit, the Blackhawk knockoff, and the LBT version as inspiration for your LBE system. I have been using the floatation pouches to store ifaks. I can fit 4 extra ifaks in ziplok bags in the rig without effecting the overall fighting capability on the outside ie out of the way until needed. I have also tried using those floatation pouches for ration storage. I field strip some mres and stick them I'm there. If what ever you're sticking in the pouches has some cushion to it, you've gained more cushion. I have also been attempting to use and modify these rigs to eliminate the ruck by making a rig that kinda resembles a ww2 assault vest with the built in ruck. I'm coming close but as you're probably aware noone makes a good version of a molle buttpack and the overall mounting configuration of SFLCS is too low for comfortable long term wear without adding the extra suspension kits adding weight. I believe that the rig as built would be a very good medic or combat lifesaver oriented system.

@@chrisspiritus9043 can't wait. I'm really following this project. I carried the Blackhawk in 2004. I'm hoping for a 6 row molle buttpack, but will suffice for a SAW pouch with the strobe/tool pouch.
