For $8 those goggles can go straight in the gear bag to have as backups or to lend out. My only concern would be lens quality. I'd take the lens out and bend them in a few directions to make sure they don't shatter.
There’s different levels to it, i bought some of those fake 100% and the lens is a very flimsy plastic , then i bought some $8 no name and they are insane for the price def worth to have them as backups.
Put a cheap shift lever, clutch lever, grips, and goggles in your backpack, or gear bag as a spare to get you out of the desrt, or woods if you crash and f-them up. Maybe.
If you’re new to riding, and don’t want to spend a lot, go ahead and buy cheap jerseys, pants, gloves until you are sure if you are serious about the sport or not. But please don’t buy cheap bling parts for your bike. Boring stock parts work way better. ( throttle, levers, kick start, shift lever, foot pegs, etc.)
As a guy who has videos about budget builds and you give advice for first time riders. I thought you would have said like if you are a first time rider that is not sure if this is for you then cheap dirt bike stuff like that is better then spending a few hundred dollars and then not liking it and be stuck with it. Especially when it comes to things like googles and gloves it would make sense to go cheap at the beginning and upgrade down the road
I think that is the complete opposite of what people should do I believe safety is the number one thing when it comes to riding dirtbikes and cheap stuff is not safe I'm sorry to all the broke lads but it's true never cheap out on safety you can buy new goggles not new eyes
The throttle is meant for pitbike/crf50 replica bikes. And backpacks are sold in sizes by liter, which is why they were advertising the 80L so much. That is a big backpack! Mine is 40L and it's pretty big.
Hey Clint, just a FYI..100% makes many levels of goggles..I bought some from RMMC for like 20 bucks at Christmas..and yes the foam was less than my more expensive pair.
They are REAL goggles, just not real 100% goggles. I have several pairs of real 100% armegas. I actually ordered a pair of the Armegas from Temu to find out for myself. They are definitely knockoffs. I tried to swap out the lenses, and they did NOT fit. They were close but could not get them to lock in. They did, however seem to be decent enough to wear while riding. But good luck finding tear-offs or replacement lenses to fit them. So once the lens get to scratched up, you will probably have to toss them. But for a budget goggle, I would say go for it. I have not actually worn them in action, so I don't know how well they would hold up.
It’s the same as dhgate, 90% of the stuff is actually made in the same factory, they are just using the extra materials and things that wouldn’t pass the quality control to make these. Obviously this isn’t the same for the lever and such things, but those gloves and goggles that’s probably how they are made.
I bought 2 sets of the knock off fasthouse overalls, I use them only when off-road riding or free riding and they have held up well honestly. For how cheap they were I’m happy with them
Really, you can't be that silly, can you? 99% of everything comes from China even some of the parts on the Japanese motorcycle are manufactured in China Son. Really, get a clue. Pull your thumbs up as the Brits say🙄
I've been buying stuff recently from aliexpress, slightly more on than temu. You gotta know what to buy. Don't buy stuff that they can get wrong, and depends on the purpose. I bought some grips, exhaust midpipe, rad guard, brake lights and indicators, rear fenders, wire connectors, handlebars amongst a bunch of other stuff. A- buy for purpose, if your racing mx, don't buy bars from temu or Ali. They won't hold same standard. B- expect lower quality C- don't buy the cheapest cheap you find. Look through all the variations of the same product by different manufacturers, compare, read reviews etc. D- if you spend that bit extra time, you'll get the stuff that's 100% worth the money.
ive bought plastics and other lil trinkets for pitbikes on temu. so far ive been pleased by far. everything fit right or works as it should. and the discounted price makes it harder to complain.
I have purchased some items from China on occasion. They are hit and miss. Sometimes it goes into recycling right out of the package. Sometimes i use only part of the item. Sometimes i use the item and its ok but wears out in a short period of time. Other times it is equal too or better than the original one it is replacing. When you cant get discontinued items anymore from oem or after market suppliers, China produces some of these impossible to find items and the quality "can be" equal or better than the original.
Thanks for putting this video together. I've been wondering about the site as well. The ads are constantly in my face, lol. It looks like the items definitely lack quality.
To be fair those are 100% goggles, like Subway has a Foot Long sub - it is not to mean that they are manufactured by the brand 100%, or related in any fashion, but they are 100 percent a pair of goggles that you could use while riding a dirtbike :-)
I bought the goggles and seriously have absolutely 0 complaints so far for the price. I’ve worn them for 4-5 rides and already got my moneys worth. I’ll buy 4 pairs for extras🤷🏼♂️
I've ordered a bunch of tmu parts for my mountain bike and I don't use the app the app is very suspect. I just go directly to the website. I've ordered probably $200 worth of MTB Parts over the past year and a half I've only had issues with two and I've gotten a full refund. Riser bars, bar ends, shift cables, pinned pedals, stem spacers, gloves, Jerseys. Everything has been good and held up fine. I had an issue with a cassette nut and a pair of shorts that were the wrong size full refund on both of those items.
That's so crazy dude I ordered the 100% goggles and the grips a month ago and did the same thing being taken for extra stuff for a couple of bucks so funny ! 😂😅
My brother.. if you took anything away from this years sh1t super bowl.. it should have been the proper pronunciation of Temu! lmaoooo. The way the did it killed me. Honestly those 100% gloves may be over stock repackaged. I have the exact same set from 100% that i got years ago and look identical and Honestly the most comfortable gloves I've ever owned. I believe some products on there are legit just rebranded or just overstock. I've seen some gear on those apps that look identical to the og but with mix match color ways like they where using up the scraps from that production run. I'd like to see side by side comparisons on full gear sets to the og that they copied.
Nothing wrong with that, in theory, but can you even avoid Chinese products? They make our cell phones and other electronics, and the big name motorcycle manufacturers are all outsourcing manufacturing to China now.
I have bought some knock off designed In Italy made in China sunglasses that are great for driving, work beat em up places and they are fine. But led flashlight and ohh Milwaukee m12 tool to m18/dewalt 20v max battery beat the heck out of buying 100 dollar battery for a tool that gets minimal usage
I also see the ads all the time... but I am yet to bite... Maybe, something like the mic stand, sure, no problem. But a product taht has life altering imlications... like goggles to save your sight etc... think twice... heck, think 5 times before you buy and use then.
Hey lund mx. Do you have link or a part # for a shifter that will work for a 97 cr 500. Seems like all the shifters online have different bends and length. Not sure what to order. Do you recommend anything?
