    I'm quite bit older than you I'm in my 50s. But I made a choice in my 20s where also I wouldn't shop, get gas, eat out etc. I stayed home went to Church. I love rest why anybody would choose otherwise is beyond me. Although I will shop if absolutely necessary then I will do self checkout if possible. But I know of some seniors older than me who do eat out on Sunday. But I will not judge them, because being older they have difficulty making a meal so I understand why they do. Sunday's for my husband and I after church is relaxation and visiting with relatives. You have a beautiful channel! I'm so impressed, you are such a breath of fresh air! 🙏📿💖

      I luv everything you said, though I do not think old people going out is different than others on this issue. Sandwiches can be made or healthy snacks. Old people go to restaurants (after church, often), because it has been a social thing to do in the U.S. They are not considering what they do, they are 'used to' what they do.

    I just found your page! I love this post. I’m the DRE at my parish, so I do have to work most Sunday mornings as we have 200 children attending Faith Formation classes. But it’s the Lord’s work. And I refrain from anything addiction besides what’s necessary that day. I try to rest otherwise. I have been trying not to shop. How do you feel about getting gas from the pump (no attendant there)? I get a better deal at my gas station on Sundays.

    How exciting that you used to work at Little Sisters of the Poor. I have been so inspired by Jeanne Jugan as my heart is for serving the elderly (I'm a caregiver for my parents) and I think I will choose her for my Saint. Thank you for all you do. Your videos have tugged at my heart this last year and I went to my first mass on Sunday. It was an incredible experience! I have a few questions- first, would one dress up as much for the weekday masses? Also, I hear there is a chapel open each day where we are going. How does that work? Do you just go to pray? What would you pray there- the rosary? Is this where I see people light candles? And could you do a video about that and what to expect and why one would light a candle, etc.?

    Oh I so much wish our Sundays to be Holy!! But our protestant teenagers don’t care and study, clean their room, wash laundary etc on Sundays. And I can’t make them not to. And my DH tries but he hasn’t got the understanding for this and struggle a lot with the atitude that ”all is forbidden” instead of seeing it as a gift from God to get to rest! And besides, it’s very hard to get rest with both teenagers and small kids. And I have fatigue syndrome and Don’t have the strength to get the home clean and Done and food made in advance. It’s so sad. At least We now are able to go to Mass again after a looooong time with Covid....Please pray for our family!!! I try to read holy books and look at spiritual youtube clips about saints or something like that. And pray the Rosary by my self.

    When we visit our grandchildren out of state, we take our grandson with us to mass. Our daughter will sometimes go to a Calvary Christian service and the kids may go to the kids area, so this is our grandson's only experience with our mass .He goes to a Christian school and is in the 3rd grade . Is there a book you can recommend for us to use with him to explain the mass when we attend together? We will keep praying and trying to get our daughter and family to come (back) to the Catholic church
    and at least a special time with our grandson at mass would be meaningful.

    • @peaceandlove544

      Great question. Surely there are books for children that explain mass as in preparation of first communion.
      We God's children experiencing his love and sacrifice and receiving Him in our hearts through holly Eucharist and the whole heavens coming down to adore Him. (There are Catholics mystics that explain that part). Personally I had that experience saw couple of angels adoring our Lord in the Holly Eucharist during consecration. Never before. So I researched it and found the above.

      I am as a returned Catholic uneasy about only going to Saturday Vigil so I try to go to both Sat and Sun mass instead. As relearning my Faith and want to avoid any backsliding and the 10 commandments refer to the Sabbath. However I have been assured by a few priests have spoke to that Sat Vigil mass means that ok as Catholics to miss Sunday mass. And don't recall a priest ever saying otherwise. My difficulty is in understanding what the actual day of rest on Sabbath entails. I know your not meant to work on Sunday unless you have to depends on your workplace. And I try avoid big shopping or socialising on it nowadays. But if you run out of items then would think it's ok to go to local grocery store on Sunday as can't see Jesus wanting any of us to run out of food and being hungry. And it's not practical to try get essentials like milk 1st thing Mon morning. The rest on Sabbath is a subject that I would like clarification on too.

    I have a question about praying the Rosary. I started in May praying the Rosary with my kids every night. My kids loved it at first and they still do but I see them not focusing as much or asking me to skip. I thought about doing a 1 decade a night. How do you do that with the mysteries? Do you just keep track which mystery you did last. I want to be able to meditate on each mystery. Thank you

Eventually they will come around. I use to hate it as a teen when my mother made us pray and I was tired lol but now I love it and I love those memories with her.

      We used to do this. We just did a decade a night and try to keep track of the mysteries. We did it at bedtime. Sometimes kids would fall asleep but at least they were not jumping or wrestling. Highly recommend the app On a mission to Love. It's free and kids say the rosary and there's little biblical reflections between Hil Mary's, which help to keep focused on the mysteries. Good luck.

      False. We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and not the teachings of heretics, Martin Luther. If you believe in Jesus, that is the first step. It is not the only. You need to worship God consistently, do good works and live your life according to the teachings of the Jesus. If you continue in your evil works, believing in Jesus alone will not save you

    What if the only mass you have access to is a NO irreverent mass. When I go I feel like I'm supporting their abuse of the Eucharist so I haven't gone to mass in 3 years. The women are the ones that handle the chalice read the readings in shorts and see through tops. Breaks my heart. Meanwhile the priests talks only about accepting the different lifestyles. What then? Is it a sin not to go?

    • @katarinarexing4075
      @katarinarexing4075 2 года назад +1

      I would say yes, you should still go because the mass is about giving God worship. Other people might be disrespectful but it would be more disrespectful not to show up at all for God. Others might be imperfect but at least they are worshipping. God can judge them for their clothes etc, that’s his job, but you don’t want him to judge you or be sad because you are not coming to mass because of the behavior of others. Mass is always a beautiful holy experience to worship God no matter if the homily is good or bad, the music good or bad or what others are doing around you. The NO is valid and I believe not going to mass due to your reasonings would be a sin. (This is not meant to be a harsh comment at all, I hope it doesn’t come across as that way. I understand you feeling upset by this, but I definitely think you are still called to go 🙂).

    • @tereserobotin5129
      @tereserobotin5129 2 года назад

      I would agree that it would be best if you could attend Mass at another church in your area. If this is not an option, please do not let it sway you from attending and receiving our Eucharist Lord. Set a good and reverent example for your fellow parishioners, but remember God is mostly concerned with the state of a person’s heart.

    • @tereserobotin5129
      @tereserobotin5129 2 года назад

      larrymelman Unfortunately, I have witnessed the irreverent dress of parishioners in my local churches. Every year a notice is put in the bulletin as well as a verbal announcement about what is considered acceptable attire and people still choose to ignore it. They can dress up for work, but they come to God’s house like it’s a beach party. I share this woman’s frustration.
