4 years ago, I got confirmed and returned home to the catholic church. It was such a beautiful celebration. The Easter vigil took place at the catholic student center on my college campus. It is a day that I will never forget for the rest of my life. It was a major turning point for me as it marks the beginning of the rest of my life. It marked my long, but, beautiful journey toward becoming a saint. I felt very confident that this was what I was meant for. After the mass, there was a huge and beautiful celebration for everyone that got baptized or confirmed with all of my friends from church. It was like heaven in a way and I felt so loved and felt God's love and presence very strongly that day. And thank you for all of your tips for celebrating holy week!
You are now such a reassuring presence in my life Heather. My faith wobbles a lot and someone can say something and it washes over me but when you say the same thing, I actually listen and *believe* you. Thank you for that ❤️🙏🏼❤️

Thank you, Heather, for providing this wonderful Podcast! You lovingly speak to ALL ages not just the younger active Moms, which I appreciate as a Grandmother! Last year I was confirmed and received into the Catholic Faith at this time (at age 68, and it has been a long-time dream and desire of mine to become Catholic since the early '90's). My journey was long and arduous at times, but ever faithful and steadfast. My husband of 45 years is protestant, was married before, and would not get an annulment. Therefore, when his former spouse passed away, I was approved by the Catholic church to proceed with RCIA. In thanksgiving for my loving neighbor of 25 years, who is an active Catholic and Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister, she kept me under her wing, mentoring and guiding me over the last number of years, and was so glad to sponsor me last year. My husband attends Catholic Mass occasionally with me and is fully supportive of my conversion. Our marriage is strong although mixed faith, but united in Christ. Prior to confirmation, I was encouraged by the RCIA Director to pray about veiling while at Mass or when in the Sanctuary, in Adoration or the Sacrament of Confession, and I was resoundingly moved by the Blessed Mother that I was to wear my chapel veil at all times when in Church, beginning at my confirmation. It keeps me in a status of humility before our Lord. So that is my Catholic Conversion story! May the Lord bless you and your beautiful family during this Holy Week and every day!

Happy Holy Week!!! Thank you for your beautiful video. I am trying so hard. My dad had a stroke in the middle of Lent. It has been so hard to focus. I keep telling myself the Holy Spirit is the advocate and He knows what is in my heart. My dad comes home from the nursing home on Good Friday. I am cleaning, going to the church, and going to all the Masses. Thank you for your videos, I send them to my daughter she is a Catholic teacher and it helps her too.
I was really looking for some inspiration of our faith and your channel is a great resource to help kids grow in Christ.

We’ve watched the Passion every Good Friday, but it’s always so long and very intense! So this year we decided to break it up throughout the week too! 20 min is perfect. Thank you for your thoughts. You’ve helped me want to be a better more holy mother.

I LOVE the idea of detaching from the world this week especially when it comes to devices and electronics. My kids aren’t going to be happy but I am going to unplug the TV and absolutely no phones. Like you said it will be hard but I believe that it will help my family to grow closer to God. It’s going to be very nice pretty much all week here in Chicago so lots of outdoor activities! I will ask for prayer request… my husband will not be able to participate at all all week including Easter. He will be able to go to Mass on Sunday but after he will be at work pretty much from morning to night and I’m really really sad about this. I know God has a plan and I’m need to trust in him🙏 Thank you 🕊

I'm blessed that our work shuts down for Good Friday. I try to get to one of the services of Holy Week without children, or in the past, just the current infant in a carrier. I will emphasize some cleaning this week, and an adoration visit with the school age child and God child. I want to start reading more spiritual books, it's hard for me to use physical books lately, but I want to get back to them.
For us here in India, apart from the Easter vigil mass, we also have multiple masses on Easter Sunday & we do Easter lunch with family. The next day onwards, the church priests begin blessing every home based on a schedule that may last for around 2 weeks determined by the number of catholic homes governed by that church.

You are a God send.💜 i have put many of your suggestions to use and we are loving it here at home, family of 4. I love your ministry! Your Holy Week planner and guide have been so helpful and will keep me on track. My 6 year old absolutely loves the book of Saints, as do I. Beautiful cook. I’m looking forward to washing of the feet and a dinner with wine (grape juice) and bread. The kids will love it. Also, your recipe for resurrection rolls as well. I plan on doing the same with cleaning on Monday -Wednesday. I like this idea. It will be a challenge to do so without music. I’m always listening to Catholic radio or music or classical focus music depending on my mood, lol so this will be interesting. I love your kind soul. Thank you for all you do. Hi, Della. Retired Catholic school English teacher here. The Psalms are 150 poems (preferably sung) in the Old Testament. Palm Sunday honors Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The palms from nearby trees were used to spread before the donkey's feet and to wave to honot Him. Blessed Holy Week!🙏

13:18 Yes, when we have feasts, we FEAST!!! Holy days are huge celebrations, just as they should be. 😄 (I always remind people that Christmas is 12 days! Easter is 50! Live it up!!!)
The 3 day Triduum liturgy is a retreat in of itself. Sadly, school has to be placed through Wednesday. The late afternoon and evening of Holy Thursday onward can make that time. Also doing a partial Paschal fast on Saturday (just a small breakfast), ends Saturday afternoon. Will try to do Thursday and Friday online. Easter Vigil Mass in person on Saturday night (fulfills Easter Sunday obligation!!), then breaking Lenten fast by a good dessert and sleep! Sleeping in on Easter Sunday can make your celebration much more meaningful and refreshing if you’re able to do so.

His sacrifice and love for us is so good every week. Stepping out in nature and diving into holy books during this time. Our diocese is focusing on "go make disciples " through Bob Rice Disciple Quad books...which is fantastic!

But how to find silence with kiddos in the house? 😬 I have three, and I know you have more! How do you do it?! It’s been a rough day here, and I’ve just been so frustrated. I did put headphones on and listened to a Christian podcast while I purged my closet today. My goal was to go through each person’s clothes-I did get all but one child’s done! But my frustration level and holiness weren’t my best today. 😕
Divine MERCY SUNDAY. Sunday after Easter... Confession also should be incorporated into the day with Mass if possible
Can I humbly suggest that in addition to Daily Mass (Good Friday excepted) add a Daily Holy Hour with Jesus at Adoration.

Thank you, Mrs. Johnson, this came really handy for me. I haven't lived Lent the way I wanted this year. I feel kind of sad, tired and far from God. So I'm going to follow this advice.
