More to pick apart with pocketcat and le'garde versus the flying head who will burn you to death over a social slight laughing all the way. Egypt's stance on corrupt politicians isn't too different as a real life example, they're openly corrupt but they trust them more than the ones pretending they aren't.

the blasting in your ears putting into perspective the malus of the thing facing you and the panic our heroes must feel in combating it. it pushes you on to kill the creature faster so as to not hear another blast in your ears, like how you hope to survive the next attack, at least with all your limbs intact

Hearing this while fighting Nas'hrah, imagining Darkness creeping closer with each sound beginning at 0:22 felt so powerful - even if it's an unwinnable encounter. To me, this is Nas'hrah and Darkness' theme.
This OST is really interesting to me. There isn't really any piece of music as such. The loud noises are sort of an alarm that really exalts the power of whatever you are facing (new gods, the older gods), while the background noises are kinda unidentifiable and sound like the music is "broken" as if two stones were grinding each other in with poor quality sound but not quite, representing in my opinion that the higher forces you are fighting, the gods, are out of your comprehension and that your senses cannot grasp their true power, form, etc. This is probably the most interesting piece of the game. The weird grinding is probably a tape recorder with a blank tape in it, sounds identical to how old tvs or hand heads would sound when a tape skipped upwards or had a blank tape. Also a similar noise happens from vinyl players with blank disks.

F&H is the prime exemple on why a musical theme doesn't need to be complex in order to be powerful and memorable. Whenever you think about "epic boss music" you would think about epic chorus and super complex music but THIS theme is much more impactful in how it conveys emotions and the sense of gravity that comes with hearing it. An absolute masterpiece, in my opinion.

it's pretty cool that the second round of the loud, abrasive sound at 0:57 doesn't start on a multiple of four, effectively taking the player off-guard.
This is the best horror soundtrack I've heard since Silent Hill 2 and 3. It carries that same sense of dread and unknowing, that same lurking feeling of doom. I just discovered this tonight, and now I absolutely need to play this game.

I really like this very faint aggressive beat in the background that is barely hearable at all because of the “BWO-O-O-O-O-OM” and constant ringing. You ARE trying to convince yourself that you’re going to come out on top in this battle, but you’re just way too scared to even think because of what you’re currently fighting against.

This is the best horror soundtrack I've heard since Silent Hill 2 and 3. It carries that same sense of dread and unknowing, that same lurking feeling of doom. I just discovered this tonight, and now I absolutely need to play this game.
