@@siobhan-rae And I like doing my make-up so I do it a lot and I have become very good at it. I won't trust this work to someone else on my wedding day.

Last night I was trying to find some simple bridal makeup look on your channel that I can do myself and loooook at you sharing it today 😆 Thank you, wizard 😆❤️
When I got married 28 years ago I tried loads of different make up artists from high Street cosmetic companies but eventually I found I could it better myself and did. It saved me a lot of money on the day. BTW...love your hair😍🥰😍
This is beautiful, I’m 54, I did my own makeup at age 22 for my wedding, drug store was all I could afford, my lips were Avon for goodness sake! I went neutral and my face looks timeless, even though my big princess Di wedding dress does not😂. What a valuable video💕.
Such a pretty bridal look you've done. And really, a pretty look for anytime! Love that glow. When I got married, I did a look a lot like this. No falsies, nothing too glam. Funny story, actually. A month or two before my wedding, I did a practice run with my chosen makeup artist; and I hated it. I didn't feel like me. It was too heavy and felt like costume makeup. Then, my makeup artist went into labor a day before my wedding, and her backup wasn't only available, she was amazing. She'd done makeup in her home country, for the red carpet. And she nailed exactly what I wanted. She used a lot of my own makeup, which also helped me look and feel more me. I think we did a combo of my usual lip gloss and her liner to make it stay. Somehow, it worked out!
Absolutely not. But considering how drag queen esque makeup is popular these days, I can see why some people think a normal full face of makeup is “natural”. I just think is completely counterproductive how some women call makeup looks that clearly look like the woman is wearing makeup “no makeup look” just because it is not completely kardashian drag. It undermines the term.
@@marteumar8429 this is most definitely a ‘natural’ look. Although she does have a full face of makeup on, it is simply a subtle enhancement of her natural face rather than purposeful additions. No one has ever done my makeup professionally in a way I liked so I was going to do it myself. I get married in august and I needed this so bad!!!! Thank you thank you! My favorite teacher! 🤓
I'm getting married in May 2023 and I have the same problem. I'm pale and freckled, and since I have been a teenager everyone around me from the makeup counter ladies to the aunties in the neighbourhood wants to give me foundation two shades too dark with dramatic dusky purple eye makeup. So I am also doing my wedding makeup myself and I'm starting to practice now already.
YES FOR THE DRAMATIC GLAM WEDDING MAKEUP TUTORIAL!!! DUH 💕 but thank you for this video! I am doing my best friends makeup for her wedding and I know she is going to want something much more natural like this!
you have no idea how many brides need this video. you have no idea how much confidence you have given me to do my own wedding makeup with this video. thank you for taking the time to film and intentionally explain EVERY step. USING THIS for my wedding and i CANNOT wait ❤️🔥
You look beautiful, but this is more natural than my everyday makeup 🧍🏻♀️ Can't wait for the glam one! Also I have VERY oily skin, so I'd love to see a matte skin look rather than a glowy one, bc my skin will be "glowy" enough on its own by the end of the day/night
I did my own makeup for my wedding. The best advice is to practice over and over again. Take pictures in different lighting to see how the makeup looks in picture, and to get the whole picture. Wear white clothes (if you're wearing a white dress). The white will bring out different tones and undertones in your skin and makeup you might not notice with other colors in your clothes. Also the season play a part. Summer, sun and brightness and very warm tones in your surroundings, Autumn also very warm colors, but can also be a bit cooler and darker (cloudy).. winter, very cool and white and cold. And yes! Take your time. Start early! I started too late and was done too late so I didn't have time to do my hair properly😅
I followed your tutorial for the most part when I did my own wedding makeup. It looked stunning, but very natural which I was going for. And it stayed on for the whole day! Thank you so much!
hi Alex! I've just finished the final dry run of my wedding makeup. I followed all your techniques, used some other products. I am not wearing "that much" makeup on a daily basis but it totally looks like me, just a better version, thank you so much :)

As someone whose entire makeup arsenal consists of glossier blush and an eyelash curler, this is exactly what I needed for my wedding next October. Not only in terms of the tutorial and product recs, but also in confidence to wear light minimal makeup. I was thinking at minimum I had to wear falsies, but you look beautiful and I will too! Thank you!

Could you please do an updated DIY Bridal Drugstore makeup video?🙏 I’m getting married in a week and your vid was shared on Reddit for DIY wedding makeup advice but I feel like the wedding makeup from 2 years ago is very different and it’s more natural looking and subtle now. I’d love a tutorial for like Sofia Ritchie and Millie Bobby browns wedding makeup style!🩷🙏 specifically struggling with how yo do the lips and not make them look done? It’s almost like they don’t lip eyeliner or a noticeable color. Same with the eyebrows, idk how they make it look like they’ve done nothing to them but I’m sure they have 😂
Those earrings! Such great advice about looking like yourself. I feel like this is my go to look, but I don’t do it very often because it does take a lot of time. I love you highlight under. Like under painting.
Love this look... fresh, soft, glowy and stunning!💕 When my sister got married, she did her own makeup. It turned out so well, and she looked beautiful on her wedding day. She didn't want to get it done professionally because most so-called make-up artists overdo it and turn you into someone else🙃
I never would have thought of using more than one of the same type of product at the same time and layering them, but you clearly get such great results that way. I always learn something watching you. :)
Thank you SO much for showing how drugstore makeup can still make a beautiful wedding look! I’m doing my own makeup for my wedding this October, so I’d definitely love to see your more sultry/glam look with these products! 🙏
Love this very ethereal look. Frequently, wedding looks are overboard. I understand wanting to look special. It’s just that nerves kick in on your wedding day and people end up a little heavy handed from nerves. If aDIY bride starts with this look, she’s likely to end up in between this and full Glam anyway. That’s just a little hint to brides. Don’t be surprised if you end up “more” than the natural look. It’s ok. You’ll get 100 hugs and kisses. You’ll still be gorgeous be the end of the night with this layering.

Great advice to give yourself lots of time. Whether you're doing your own or getting it done professionally. You're right...you want to look like YOURSELF! I can't wait for the glam look too 😉
I think this is a really good idea. I generally skip the bridal make up videos because of that same reason that they super exaggerated and they don't represent me at all. But I gave this one a chance because I love what you do. And I was not disappointed! Simple, easy to do it yourself , using the same products and disarticulating the fact that bridal make up needs to be all over the place and that you need to look like a totally dif person. Another stunning look from you! I've learned new tips from you that have helped my makeup application become easier and more blended. Thank you Alex, mich appreciated!! 😘
My brother is getting married next week and I needed a look that was a subtle glam. So glad you mentioned just wearing lip liner, that was my plan and love it being backed up by you!
Great job! This look turned out beautiful. Very polished, elegant. I’ve seen some brides go over the top for an afternoon wedding and those looks can appear out of place.
I watch all your videos and I have yet to get over how absolutely stunning you are 🥺❤️✨ thank you for being so real and straight forward. I have learned so much from you !!
Gah I love your channel. I always learn something new here. For example, the waterproof mascara at the base of the lash after curling for extra hold? Genius. Easy. Totally upped my eyelash game. The no eye-base-liner-in-the-waterline/smudged-into-the-eyelashes as a first step of the eyeshadow routine? Literally doing this everyday now. THE 👏🏼 BEST 👏🏼. Thank you 🤗
I've paid 2 people to do a trial look and I'm 100% positive I would rather do my own. Nobody knows my face like I do and what I like and what looks best. Thank you for this. It's affordable and I'm definitely using this for my big day!
So excited to have this as help! I'm interested for sure in a glam-ier version. I'm also interested in what you might suggest for brides who will wear glasses? I had been using your tutorial for makeup with glasses to try and develop a bridal look.
I also recommend spraying setting spray in between layers. This definitely helps keep everything on! Also... THOSE EARRINGS!!!! Love! Where are they from, please?
I use pore filling primer on my nose. Everywhere else moisturizer only. If I didn’t have sinkholes on my nose I’d skip altogether! How can I love every single look you do? You’re so talented and lovely in every way!
I have no problem being able to hire a makeup artist for me and my girls on our big day but something about doing it myself and with my bridesmaids feels specials
For european users, there is an spf spray that is after makeup safe, or over makeup that doesn't disrupt your makeup, so if you are already done with everything you can try that for your spf, gerovital, la roche posay and some more brands have dry spray spf or you can get spf powder or setting powder if you are user pf powder.
Hi Alexandra. I LOVE your earrings. Beautiful! Most appreciative of the wedding makeup advice,. My son is getting married in October, so I'm trying to finally get my head around dress and makeup now.
Very pretty & affordable. My biggest problem is always my skin. I have a lot of melasma, that I'm treating, but it takes a long time. Would love to see the glam, but with more full coverage base! Your hard work is very much appreciated!! 💖💖💖
I just went looking for the glam version and was disappointed that I have to wait 😩 I never thought that I’d get back into watching beauty on RUclips but here I am - thank you Alex for doing what you do and being damn good at it
Thank you so much, I'm getting married In a few weeks and doing my own hair and makeup as we have a small budget. Great help! Definitely up for the glam version too!! Xx
Gonna film the glam version soon so if you have any suggestions for colors/shapes/etc. let me know! 🙌🏼❤
Nude glam..like with neutral colors
yayy! be happy today girl ✨
Something neutral for hooded eyes 🤍 thank you
It would be interesting to see a Arabic inspired bridal tutorial :)
Would love to see a soft glam using the makeup by Mario palette
people need this, not everyone can afford to get their makeup professionally done, especially with all the other costs of a wedding :)
Hope it helps! ❤️
this isn’t an argument btw just curious, why do people sacrifice makeup artists over other costs incurred during a wedding?

Maybelline Sky High is so dang good. It actually fulfilled all my wants. I have long, full but fine eyelashes and it grabs every single one of them.
The earrings are in the description! I thought the exact same thing haha
@@jordannimz5180 I didn't see it here but I eventually found it on Instagram; thanks!
Even the normal version of that mascara can hold the curl whole day. It's bomb. Definitely a fav.

Alex thank you for everything you offer. From “do able” glam, to out of this world art-You are THE best!! ♥️🥰♥️
I use pore filling primer on my nose. Everywhere else moisturizer only. If I didn’t have sinkholes on my nose I’d skip altogether! How can I love every single look you do? You’re so talented and lovely in every way!
What a stellar idea for a video! So many people will benefit from this. Thank you for all you do!
These beginner videos have definitely confirmed that I'm going to need to add a professional mua to my wedding budget 🥴
Absolutely loved this! Would also love to see fuller glam bridal too! :)
Bridal maybe, every other day YES! Beautiful, simple and you are absolutely flawless!
I will be eloping in the mountains in September…this is PERFECT for me and my skill set. Thank you! ❤
I did my own makeup for my wedding. I enjoy it, and it really helped center me that morning.
Could you do a Hollywood style look? Classic red lip and winged liner etc, would love to see your take on it 😊

Yes yes evening one! And PLEASE DO A WEDDING DRESS PHOTOSHOOT AFTER THAT😍😍🤩🤩
Looks great , I'd love to see the glam version as well. Take your time is key I always feel rushed makeup is never good. 3 hours is perfect 🥰

Flawless! You make me mad at how pretty you are 😮💨
Your earrings are EVERYTHING!!!
I’m really loving your hair these days :) sort of twiggyish. I’m getting married in a month and I’m definitely going to use the lip liner trick!

I just went looking for the glam version and was disappointed that I have to wait 😩 I never thought that I’d get back into watching beauty on RUclips but here I am - thank you Alex for doing what you do and being damn good at it
Do you ever see a makeup look and want it on your face immediately? Well this is the one for me I am living for that glow

Absolutely stunning I kind of already wear my makeup like this but all the time it's so pretty I have to LOL
Please please do the glam bridal tutorial as well! This was just so easy to follow thank you!
What I love is that you set your blush and bronzer with powder blush and bronzer.. ugghh genius.. duh🙃🙃
Those earrings tho!!!! 🙌 Really well thought out! Such a Gorgeous look! 🙀❤️🙀❤️🙀
Your skin looks so good, what are you using and also this makeup is what I wanna look like everyday 😩😍
This look is great! Only thing I would add is a setting spray just so that makeup is longer lasting (there are many by Milani that are amazing).

Thank you, I’m doing my own make up for my wedding next week.
Love this! This is kind of my go to “full face” of makeup look so if I get married again I will definitely do something like this
