That's the beauty of it. I've played in my punk band TAT most of my life and have toured with NOFX, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Alice Cooper, Lagwagon, Metallica, etc. The rock circle is a close knit family and the a lot of song writing is on an amazing level. This type of version is a homage to the songwriting itself and how it can be so many things because the emotion of it is so pertinent. They nailed their version. The alternate versions are a testament to how great the song is and therefore how versatile it is because it's actually that good.
