Punk is not the sound of a song. It's the attitude, and the "i dont care what people think", about a song. I'm 40, and I most definitely love old glen misfits the best. But I love this song, and graves is a great singer/songwriter.
Brilliant song. Me and the band I played in at high school covered this at one of the school shows. It gave me goosebumps to actually be able to play it for people. This guys voice made me fall in love with The Misfits. I love both him and Glenn Danzig. Amazing vocalists.

Just saw him last night in Oshawa with his band. Discovered the misfits via Graves. Then got into the older stuff as well, of course. But I find that the graves era was much deeper. He brought a depth to the band. Harmonies, tempo changes, etc.
This song is a perfect mix of mid 50's Elvis and "Rocky Horror Picture Show". For real, this song on "Famous Monsters" would've fit right in with the Rocky Horror soundtrack, but somehow it's very romantic as well. Graves is a REAL songwriter!
I wish he was still far more listened too, even no longer with the Misfits (and better that way, they’ve gone to hell) he is an amazing and talented artist.

"Saturday Night"
There's 52 ways to murder anyone
One or two are the same,
And they both work as well
I'm coming clean for Amy,
Julie doesn't scream as well
And the cops won't listen all night
And so maybe, maybe I'll be over
Just as soon as I fill them all in
And I can remember when I saw her last
We were running all around and having a blast
But the back seat of the drive-in
Is so lonely without you
I know when you're home
I was thinking about you,
There was was something I forgot to say
I was crying on a Saturday night
I was out cruising without you,
They were playing our song
Crying on Saturday night
As the moon becomes the night time
You go viciously, quietly away
I'm sitting in the bedroom,
Where we used to sit and smoke cigarettes
Now I'm watching, watching you die
I can remember when I saw her last
We were running all around and having a blast
But the back seat of the drive-in
Is so lonely without you
I know when you're home
I was thinking about you,
There was was something I forgot to say
I was crying on a Saturday night
I was out cruising without you,
They were playing our song
Crying on Saturday night
