Janet, if you read your BIBLE EVERYDAY, you will hear the voice of God and your faith will increased. Ask GOD to putyou in a church and make sure you go to the one that he tells you to go. Get yourself a kingjamesbible and read it. Pray and ask GOD to give you spiritual and natural understanding of his word before you read it and he will. Don't believe every evil things or words that you have heard about God. Read the bible for yourself and if you don't have one go to the bible store and buy you one. Get the orginal one, KJB. Don't read a lot of books about God and Jesus, stick with the bible. Read the 4 gospel of Jesus Christ at least 2 times each. Matthew,Mark, Luke and JOHN. These books tell you all about Jesus Christ. If you read the bible everyday, your faith will increased and you will see GOD face to face in his holy word. Please read your bible and pray to god ALMIGHTY and you will get to know him better ok. This is what I do everyday and God has really help me a lot in my realationship with him. God loves you as much as you loves me. Please have an open mind to GOD JANET. Remember GOD LOVES you. 1Sa 17:38 And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.
1Sa 17:39 And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.
David could not go with Sauls armor, helmet, and sword, because he had never used them before, he had no experience in using them.
that is what tests and trials do for us, they build us up and make us stronger so we can fight even tougher battles and bring more Honor and Glory to God.

And God swear that He will surely bless Abraham and his descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore. Genesis 22: 16 to 17

Out of interest, Isaac was over 20 years of age when Abraham offered him up. In other words, it wasn't just Abraham's faith, it was also Isaac's faith, Isaac had to grant permission for his father to offer him. This is very important because the entire episode is a prefiguring of the Father offering His Son at Calvary, an act involving the love and sacrifice of both Father and Son. God be praised!

What's more, God willingly sacrificed his own Son on the Cross for us and he didn't spare him at the last moment like he did with Abraham's son.

There's something about documentaries made in the 50's that's so pure and unadulterated. I love the classic narrator voicing, the hand drawings of maps and such, the title cards, the look of the footage like Ben Hur or something.. Older documentaries don't seem to worry about being politically correct or unwilling to say anything that doesn't follow some scientific method of explanation. I'll go as far as to say that as long as I'm entertained I'm more likely to sit through it and actually learn something. Newer Documentaries like the ones on Netflix are sooo polished and PC and they all look similar and they're just kind of boring to be honest!
