Hi, it did a little bit. That said I ALWAYS rely on a Chemical when removing stuff from concrete, house siding or fences. I Never want the pressure too aggressive... that said, with a Turbo nozzle it may. That blk on my garage floor is overspray paint I believe, so it's set in there pretty good. That's years of baked on paint, in the concrete pores. Non sealed concrete floor... anywho, hope this helps. Take care!
Hey Jason. This unit has been great thus far! I see that active is making more improvements. Cant wait to see what they have over the next few years! Enjoy the weekend. Take care!
Thank you Sir! Great video I believe you have saved me lots of headaches. I was going to go into town and visit Harbor Fraight and spend 100 bucks and getting pissed off 8 ways to Sunday. Every time I try and go the cheapest way on a tool I end up getting something different and then something again and then getting what I should of gotten all along, so listening to your story saved me all that and besides I've always wanted a Caterpillar lol
Hey I'm glad I can help. At the end of the day, quality matters as long as it's in the budget. Cant break yourself just to buy BIG NAMES, then again sometimes cheaper is , well ,CHEAPER... good luck and Thank You! Take Care
Your welcome. Glad you liked it. I have the Active pressure washer and the first thing I had to change was the hose. I don't know why the put such a short hose on them. I think you will be pleased with the cat one.
Hey Tim. Yeah I think I'm going to Like it👍 I had all the parts ordered together so I would have them when I shot the video. Solid machine and quiet. So far two thumbs up! Take care Tim!
😳 yeah me too! If she turns out to be a Lemon I'm not sure which one I'd go to next🤷♂️. Let's hope active has perfected these things and mine is Great👍. Only time will tell. Thanks for stopping by the channel. Much appreciated👍Have a great week!
D/D good morning! Thank You for the support. I can't understand why MOST companies only give 20-25' of hose!! That's crazy. Now the factory hose is great quality. not too flexible and it's too short but it is made to last. I'm hopeful this will be a GREAT unit! Time will tell. Have a great week!
I couldn't agree more. That said, my garage needs a Ton of work, I use 3 different machines so I basically always move them. But I DO LOVE THAT IDEA!🤙 Take 'R easy!
Hi, Honestly I love this machine. I did burn the total stop up on it, trying to use a 100' X 3/8" Uberflex hose with it. That's a big NO-NO... active sent a replacement immediately . In case you don't know, for these home units 120V machines, a 50' hose is max length recommended. Also, while Uberflex hoses are nice, I don't recommend them on home units. The walls are flexible, and it takes more work to keep them pressurized.. just a couple of tips I can share as I have learned the hard way... I still Love my CAT unit, honestly.🤙🏼
Hello Harvz B, I'm not sure what fitting you mean. The fitting on one side accommodates a standard garden hose. The fitting on the other side takes their pressure hose... I chose to upgrade the pressure hose and had to buy an adapter (m22x15 to m22x14) to accommodate that. Hope this helps!
Hey Savv... mine has been great thus far. I would have No problem buying another one if this one dies! I think it's the Best Retail/home electric unit available.... Take Care
Oh so this is the Active branded VE50 model under the hood...not VE52?! The latest Active 2.0 is rated at 200hrs so wondering if the $349 price tag is worth it compared to this model.
Hey @Phil413, I have the CAT, VE52 AND 2.0 All great machines but for the money the 2.0 gets my vote strictly for the durability. The service hours projected are DOUBLE that of the others. On a side note, the VE52 Is Impressive! Use my link save some money. You CANNOT go wrong with the VE52. If later you love their product, upgrade to the newer one. Great investment at this pricepoint. Normally to get these numbers you'd have to spend $6-800.00 . Hey good luck and keep me in the loop. Take Care!
@@detailit It did very much, I am just starting my own business, its a bit scary so I am trying to review the best I can. Again thanks for the response and the video!
Can you please identify and link the fittings you used to connect the hose to the unit and the end of the spray wand (w/o extension? (adapters and Qd’s)
Mornin. I'll try to look it all up when I have a chance later today. The fittings that go from washer to hose are M2215 X 3/8 plug. And M2214 X 3/8 plug. The ones on the end for the tips will be 1/4" qc. I'll try to get a better description in the video description section later. Also, you can Call Chem-X 1-800-624-5403 and they have ALL of this stuff available and they can help you. Thanks for watching. Take care.
Ok.... that seems to be what I have found... mjjc best for foam V2 Pro or V3.... mtm isn't bad either. Especially with the small orifice.... I rarely use more than 3 Oz. Soap. Thick foam actually annoys me honestly.... I think it's a show not much practical use... thanks for 👀 watching
Dang that sux! Sorry to hear it man. I've had two that wouldn't shut off. One I broke by running a 100'X3/8" hose by Propulse, basically a larger Uberflex. The other one I ran 75' of Uberflex, same issue. Active replaced both. I've had great luck with the company! Thank You for watching and I really appreciate you sharing! Take Care!
Sorry to hear that man. Have you reached out to active? They have always been straight forward with me. Give their customer service a shot. If not, starting February 1st, they are having a Spring sale. 20% off everything minus the new 2.0 . I Love mine... iHave one CAT which is basically the VE 52, and the new 2.0 .. I Love em. Only time will tell. Sorry to hear about your misfortune... Good luck and thanks for 👀watching!
pressure washer companies are bullshitters with their rating. We went through the same problem with air compressor companies overrating their products. Its misrepresentation, false advertissing
Yeah I don't understand how the pressure washing industry accepts the psi ratings.. the spike isn't the true psi. That said, the gpm is very close. Overall the best detailer/home machine at this price point. Love it!
Awesome video and product review Doug.having a 20ft hose 4 detailing is like a grown man with infant penis...lol.can u email me the link.thanks again brother
Richard what's been going on man?! Happy Halloween 🎃... I hope all has been well. Thanks for checking out the video. Have a great week brother! I'll send that link 👍
*Will it blast the black overspray off your garage floor @**16:32**? That's exactly what I need it for! Great review!*

I just bought one last week and used it once to wash out a water tank and so far I love it!

Are the quick connects 14mm or 15mm?
If memory serves me correctly it's M22 X 15mm. It's the same machine as the VE52.
Thanks for watching!
I just bought one and I'm looking forward to using it. I watched several videos before I chose this one.
Hi. So far the CAT by active has been amazing. I know you will Love it! Thanks for watching, take care!!
I’ve had two of the Active machines and both have issues hope yours is better.

Great video and questions to the company! I also wish more pressure washers would come with longer hoses and ones that don't kink.

Nice Machine. That CAT color is different. Pretty cool
Riiight.. ? I had to have it... great unit
thanks for the video! It would be a great follow-up video to show the mounting of the CAT on the wall.

How is the cat pressure washer now? How’s it held up?

Does it include the adapter for the regular US fitting?
Hello Harvz B, I'm not sure what fitting you mean. The fitting on one side accommodates a standard garden hose. The fitting on the other side takes their pressure hose... I chose to upgrade the pressure hose and had to buy an adapter (m22x15 to m22x14) to accommodate that. Hope this helps!
How’s it holding up? Better than active 2.0?
I have 3 active machines. All doing great! Ve52, CAT, 2.0

I was hoping you used the foam cannon that came with it, I dont think we would be blown away by it but nice to see how decent it is.
Hey there! Maybe I'll shoot a short on the factory foam cannon🤷♂️keep your eyes out for it👍thanks for checking the video out; much appreciated!
Heres the Factory foam cannon...soaper...

thick foam depends on all the orifice, flow rate, cannon, and soap

That’s $15 more than Active VE52 but it is same thing only rebranded.
Correct! I was a CAT mechanic years ago so I Love CAT products... just a thing!🤷♂️
I got an active about 3 weeks ago. And it won’t turn on anymore. I want to get another one.
Dude that sux. I have had No issue thus far . Good luck with whatever you buy👍
I got 27 car washes seized up
The new 2.0 is twice as good that means 60 washes MADE BY ACTIVE
MISSED MY WARRANTY NO REPLACEMENT PARTS

It is a good machine until it breaks. Mine broke and they DO not sell parts to repair it, Mine is leaking from my unloader and it is useless.
