Movie logic at its finest. Instead of simply stopping the car and punching her in the face she's able to fight two grown men with guns in a car. This would only happen in a movie lmao
Charlize Theron is awesome in this movie, no other actress would have played Lorraine Broughton as good as she did. With that said, the soundtrack and the way it is coordinated into the different scenes is absolute art. The scenes with Theron and the perfectly orchestrated music within each scene made this movie. Great movie, if 80s music is your cup of tea, that is a good reason to watch this movie alone.
I think the guy who directed this was his first time directing. The 15min combat was insane and yeah I loves the music too. The lighting was very well done too and the combat scenes were the best I’ve seen, to my liking. I keep seeing scenes poping up in my RUclips, I think it’s time I watch this movie again!

To be honest I always thought this was really dumb because she wasn't strapped in at all. The only logic is if her feet were hooked onto the underside of the seat, but with such force, she would have just cracked her head open on the roof. Great scene though 😜

Charlize Theron is such a badass. I love her acting. And you can tell the Cameraman of this movie (respect to him) and her have a very good type of "tango" together. She's just brilliant 👏
The actress Charlize Theron playing Lorraine Broughton was sensational in her role. I am not sure it’s too many people that could of played this role this well.
I watched this movie more than a couple of times, and it took me a while to see an AMC Pacer (USA market only car) in the scene. And then i saw half a dozen cars that were made in the 2000s and 2010s.
i can actually forgive that. it's HARD to make a period piece in general. you'd have to block of the streets just to have cars that are marginally more modern than the cars in the movie itself disappear for car interior shot scenes where charlize therons face is front and center anyways. so yeah, a parked fiat doblo construction van from the late nineties is going to sneak in. the pacer, well, in germany we have plenty of US car enthusiasts. just down the street from my appartment someone is driving a 2011 dodge charger. besides, since WW2 we have had americans living in germany and bringing their own cars. what REALLY irks me, are the military trucks. it looks weird to me that they are mostly humvees, and if not, those jeep looking things that like to flip over because they have independent rear suspension. like, they should have mercedes g-models or the volkswagen iltis. BUT, someone is probably going to inform me that the US armed forces were guarding the wall, and not the bundeswehr.
I’d heard on the grapevine that Atomic Blonde 2 might be in the works? I do genuinely hope so as Charlize Theron is genuinely brilliant in the role of Lorraine Broughton. The Old Guard 2 is due for release later this year. Glad that Charlize is taking on more action based roles as she’s brilliant in them. Kudos to the director (David Leitch) and stunt team on this film, they all did an absolutely stunning job on this film! Can see Leitch’s signature neon reds, pinks and blues!
A little detail: One of pursuit scenes in Captain America:Civil War was filmed at exactly the same spot. Moment of Bucky being chased by both Cap, the Falcon and Black Panther in Budapest
I'd really wished the film had gotten more on the budget side; the cars on the background are all anachronistic. Didn't noticed them when I saw in the theatre, but now I did, I can't unsee it.
pretty silly whining about the make of cars in the background. Sure lets throw around money we don't have so that the car nerds are happy with scene. The scene works. You feel the suspense build up from the moment the wrong guys show up and when they accelerate into the tunnel due to the pursuing Porsche. Then it just explodes after she removes her stilleto heel. a well done scene. But hey, why not complain about the shoes too. Its not a period make so that ruins the scene for me. lol.
I love this film very much, because i`m german and i love the 80s. But there are so many damn mistakes in this movie and also in this Scene: 1. in Germany no one drives a god damn amc Pacer 2. the Porsche in the Scene is an american Porsche, because on european cars the indicator lights do not light up, when the headlights are working. 3. i like the Airport Scene, because the yellow mailboxes and cellphones doesn`t exist anymore for about a long time. i remember These Things from my childhood. but one moment later they ruined all this good work in the Scene, where she is sitting in the Audi. in the background all the cars and people are from the 2000`s and 2010`s. also in the Scene, where the Porsche was filmed from the front. there are a lot of more mistakes in the movie ,but i still love the movie. sorry for my bad english.

That Porsche is indeed US-spec with rubber beadings in the front bumper. But even then it's anachronistic too. Those Cup Wheels weren't made available for the 964s till the early 90s, well after the movie is set. At that point of time, it should've been using the D90 standard wheels. The Turbo wing doesn't add up either, it looks nothing like an actual 964 Turbo. It's kind of a weird one-off, but looks cool.
