This is excellent, thanks for the video. If you want to step up your timesaving game even more, I get chatgpt to format the reply into latex code and make the entire worksheet at once, in a specific stricture. This way I can then automate the formatting too by using a document template in latex. It looks super clean and I can make an excellent and cohesive set of resources very quickly. Thank you for such an informative video. ChatGPT is one of the greatest things that has happened in the past 3 years related to schools and teachers. You ask different kind of questions, you can ask ChatGPT to create you a text or a report and you can also ask it if it can create you an activity based on a specific topic. You can choose the topic and ChatGPT will do the rest. You can also ask ChatGPT whether an activity is okay to use in the class or not. It will simply tell you whether its appropriate for the children and if the activity is not appropriate you can tell it to create an appropriate one for you and your students. You can even ask it to create a whole lesson for you based on a topic that you want. But while doing that be careful because when i tried the ChatGPT for the first time i realised that it can also make some mistakes. So make sure that the thing ChatGPT created for you or the answer it gave to you is correct. And because it is an AI it improves day by day which means there won't be any errors in the future.

thank you for this comment Selahattin. and i also agree with you that ChatGPT is one of the greatest thing that happend. ChatGPT can help us in so many ways and allow us to finish the work that would take us maybe a day or days into a couple of hours. ChatGPT is really a handy tool for us teachers, it helps us by providing ideas or approaches for a certain lesson or a topic, and not only that but it generates any kind of questions or activities that we ask it for, and even provides the answer for them when we ask for it. It is really helpful and time-saving

My dear friend Selo, you are absolutely right about the point that ChatGPT can make mistakes sometimes. That's why we need to check it after it creates the things that we ask for it to do. I also agree with you on that ChatGPT is really helpful while creating an activity on a specific topic. We just need to know how to ask the proper question for our problem. If we ask the right question, then ChatGPT will handle the rest of it.

Chat GPT can be used wide range of area.
As a teacher candidate I find this chatbot very useful. Either when I'm student or when I'm teacher.
Actually, I heard Chat GPT before yes ,but I didn't use this chatbot for my job. we can use it for our lesson plans, writing text etc. It can give various examples and simplify for student's level. aslo, it can be create an extremely comprehensive lesson plan. Simplify it based on the students’ level. Still, we need to be proofreading. Although it has advanced skills, it can make mistakes.
besides , it is very timesaver. it has pros and cons , it is very useful but can lead to laziness and ready-made. in conclusion, we need to use Chat GPT for help, not copy all its saying. Using correctly what technology has given us.

I want to ask you something about preparing materials with ChatGPT. We (even teachers or material developers) generally face a big problem when we prepare materials, coursebooks for students and that problem is the product does not suitable for all learners or it can be too mechanical and eventually it is not suitable again. So while preparing somethings with ChatGPT we can not add our inferences and because of that it probably produces more general and mechanical products for us. Even now we face numberless problems as I mentioned in education, can you say this new technique that you using is truly well working or it is even better than humans produces or is it just a time saver for the teachers who loves their time?

As I understand it, ChatGPT can be utilized in a variety of ways for the benefit of both teachers and students, including generating texts and questions for classroom use and assisting with lesson planning. While it is particularly useful for English teachers, given my own background as an English teacher candidate, I believe that students of all subjects could benefit from it. However, some countries have restricted the use of ChatGPT due to security concerns, which is worth noting. Overall, I appreciate your informative video and believe it will prove to be a valuable resource for myself and many others. To sum up, I enjoyed and I think the video was too beneficial for me. Firstly, I would like to begin by thanking you for this informative video for the teachers. I found this video to be a valuable resource for educators looking to incorporate artificial intelligence and natural language processing into their teaching practices. I liked that the video started by explaining the basics of ChatGPT. This is helpful for teachers who haven't used it before or who may have some ideas about what it can do that aren't correct. Although it's simple to open ChatGPT and ask it questions, not everyone knows how to use it effectively for more advanced queries. As a teacher candidate, I was surprised to learn that ChatGPT can provide answers in tables or diagrams, as I was not previously aware of this feature. One of the key takeaways from the video is that Chat GPT can be used in a variety of educational contexts. For example, teachers could use Chat GPT to generate responses to student questions, provide feedback on written assignments, or even generate content for lesson plans. Overall, I found the video to be an informative and useful resource for educators, teachers teacher candidates. The video provides a clear and concise introduction to Chat GPT and its potential applications in the classroom, while also highlighting the importance of ethical considerations when using AI models with students.

But when I write my question in Chat GPT and similar AI chats, I can get my detailed answer. It is very helpful for me to write an activity, especially while preparing a lesson plan. through all the sites one by one and find the answer. But when I write my question in Chat GPT and similar AI chats, I can get my detailed answer. It is very helpful for me to write an activity, especially while preparing a lesson plan. Firstly I want to say thanks to Thomas, for this explanatory presentation.I think making such a video is very good because it is a useful content especially for educators. ChatGBT is really a great help when giving an assignment or preparing a lesson plan. However, it is necessary to know how to use it. This is explained in detail in the content of this video.Chatgbt works better if we give more detailed information about what we want while using it. For example, if we are going to specify the number of words, or if we are going to write an essay, it is necessary to give commands to chatgbt by specifying the introduction or conclusion paragraphs. In this video, questions were created by giving a certain text.Even it gives their answers. As a teacher, it is really troublesome to come up with such things when time is limited. However, chatgbt does it masterfully. At the same time, if we specify the level of the students and want a chatgbt to write something, chatgbt also fits it. I have used many things shown in this video so far and I have seen its benefits. I am very happy to use Chatgbt.I will probably use it too when I become a teacher.

First of all, thank you for this effective video for ChatGPT. It clears out that ChatGPT can be used to create a plenty of handful texts. I understand one part very clearly that even if you ask ChatGPT complicated questions, or want it to write something very specific, it just gives you what you ask for. This feature can be used in teaching English. I am also an English teacher candidate and I think I will be able to use a better version of the present ChatGPT. I only fear that some of the teachers or other people might use ChatGPT and its features for some bad purposes. For example, it can make a teacher lazy if it is used excessively. So, my opinion on that is that there must be something to control this type usage. On the contrary, if it is used fruitfully by the teachers, it can help teachers prepare brand new teaching materials. Students can also benefit from ChatGPT. They can use it to ask about a topic they don’t understand in English. But again, ChatGPT also can be used for a bad purpose by the students. As a consequence, it has pros and cons at the moment and the future will bring a lot of new features for it. Let’s hope il will always be helpful for education all around the world.

From this video, I learned a few more things about chat gpt. It is currently really popular and as you said it is in high demand. So, I researched it and I know the basic things. But I didn't know about the ability to use a table format. It is really interesting and it's pretty useful, it will definitely come in handy in the future. This still amazes me, the ability to do stuff like this. Technology helps the teachers and makes their jobs easier. Now rather than finding the text and creating the questions and the answers, we can ask chat gpt and it will do all of those things for us. We can also ask for some ideas, I mean I wouldn't say they are really creative but still it can help sometimes. Then again teachers need to check the text and the questions and the answers because we can't trust chat gpt that much, it can make some errors and it is our job to correct them, plus we can't expect everything from chat gpt. The process is faster and everyone can be happy with this. Teachers can have more time to find the ideas for the lessons and they can research the new ways that we can teach the students with. They will have more time to improve themselves. It is important for the teachers to always improve themselves, because the better the teacher is the better things they can teach. Everything is for the students.

This video says that as much as I understand, we can use ChatGPT for creating a lot of texts for our students and it can also create some questions about these texts that you may ask your students. Amazing video! After watching the ChatGPT Tutorial for Teachers video, I was impressed by the potential of this AI tool to do just that. The video provided a clear and comprehensive introduction to ChatGPT and its many applications in education. I was amazed by its ability to generate customized texts and questions that could challenge and inspire my students. I also appreciated the video's emphasis on the importance of balancing the benefits of ChatGPT with the need for responsible use and appropriate safeguards. However, I also recognize that there are some potential downsides to using ChatGPT particularly if it's misused or overused. As the video mentioned there are some concerns about security and privacy issues related to the use of AI tools like ChatGPT. Additionally if teachers become too reliant on ChatGPT or other technology tools they may risk becoming less engaged and effective in their teaching practices. Despite these potential risks I personally still remain optimistic about the potential of ChatGPT to enhance teaching and learning. By using it responsibly and in combination with other teaching tools and techniques I believe that ChatGPT can help teachers create more dynamic, engaging and personalized learning experiences for their students.

first of all thank you for preparing this video to give information about ChatGPT to teachers. I need to say that, the technology widening incredibly day by day. we see unpredictable new features with devisements and the internet. Also I need to say that this ChatGPT seems like the beginning to produce some paragraphs, materials for lessons or even questions and answers to questions (students can abuse this situation and use it to cheat). we generally talk about its benefits but why don't talk about its harms or revolutions? like the given example it can easily be useable for bad purposes and it does not finish with that example. apart from this, what is the teacher's role with this technology? as we see someone can quickly prepare a lesson plan without any effort. There aren't any sources, theories, rules, or inferences. Is it even ethical to use this technology? there are many questions even the starting, but what's going to be in the future? Even now teachers' roles are too constrained but what will be in the future? In the future will people still need a teacher to learn a language or another thing or AI technologies could handle it easily?

    • @iremmm5910
      @iremmm5910 Год назад

It can be used for bad purposes but like most of the things in life it is up to humans, they can make even the most harmless thing into something bad. And yes this technology can prepare lesson plans easily but as it is said in the video they are not really good (at least that is what I assumed). We should be the ones that choose what we want to use, it is up to us. Of course, there will be some teachers that will go for the easier way and use it but the only thing we can do about this is, not being like that and using it for the better. Also, we can teach everyone, tell everyone how to use it, if they can think logically then they will use it for the better. The teacher is always needed because technology can never replace human beings. It can be just replicas. Each human is different and we have different opinions and etc. no one can be able to make something like us. We will only use the technology for our benefit and continue to improve.

Hello Thomas, thank you very much for this wonderful video you made. Although Chatgpt has a rapidly growing popularity, many people are still curious about what this artificial intelligence actually can do. It is really nice and admirable that you explain in your video how this artificial intelligence can be used better and what opportunities it can provide for teachers. It's really eye-opening to see topics where Chatgpt can help teachers. Chatgpt really provides us with opportunities that can be very helpful throughout our teaching life. From improving the material we have prepared, receiving feedback and completing our ideas and getting new ideas, chatgpt can help us a lot. However, it is important to remember that chatgpt can make mistakes. I think it is not the right way to get help from chatgpt in all matters and rely only on its accuracy. About two years ago everyone was going crazy about AI based games such as Akinator, which now looks quite bland compared to what we have today. Who knows what else the AI can achieve in the upcoming two years? :)

Wasn't there something like this back in the nineties maybe? I remember 'talking to my pc' back then, yeah?

Coding is technically talking to a PC but AI extends this by understanding language models and formulating answers based on a huge pool of information

How did you get it to generate a table? When I tried, the AI said it couldn't do that.

Exactly as commanded. Sometimes you need to remind it

So what's the difference between using chatgdp or following a textbook? Not much.

Does the AI grab this from Wikipedia etc / pre established websites? I guess what I’m asking is there a risk of plagiarism if a teacher were to use this platform to publish as curricula?

There is, this video shows how to detect that though Should we start worrying about CHAT GPT?
