- In this weeks video I continue my solo adventure cruising my narrowboat along the beautiful Peak forest canal. I pass through 3 swing bridges and moor at Disley. I meet up with my parents on Good Friday and take a trip by car to Bugsworth Basin for a meal at the Navigation Arms.

A small neck scarf 🧣 would help keep you warm when the sun disappears behind the clouds.

Although I have lived and worked on Anglesey and now live in Llandudno for 40 years in North Wales I am still a Congleton/Sandbach Cheshire lad at heart at 71 and it is so lovely to watch you every week and follow the adventures You Jac and Pudding have. It brightens my day. You are so lucky to have the scenery this week from your poop deck.

Your new hat makes you narrowboat bandit not a narrowboat pirate but I bet it keeps you nice and warm.
If you want luck I predicted when my nephew's new baby would be born to the hour of the day the baby would be born on.
That "hat" is actually a Balaclava, used a lot where it snows, to protect the face. You should find it useful and it looks fine on you! You can configure it myriad ways, as a beanie, etc.

The Peak Forest Canal has to be one of the best on the network and the Macclesfield Canal is the warm up act. I'm so glad the tourists don't know about them yet. The Llangollen is nice but too busy IMHO. I hope CRT manage to keep Bosley lock flight open.

What lovely blue skies & gorgeous scenery and your eyebrows going up and down 19 to the dozen! Thanks for having us along for the cruise. Last year my brother-in-law, who is very deep drafted, got stuck and it took me and my husband a good 10 minutes to pull him off! 😉

Oh to be a canal gypsy. I always wanted to be a gypsy when I was a kid. I love my trips on your boat. Trying to get out of covid mindset of not going anywhere. It's going towards Winter here in NZ so after, I'm determined to go tiki touring as New Zealand's scenery is very similar to the UK but with not as much European history and no canals. So what was Mike trying to say, sending you that hat?😂 on a practical level, it would great for cruising on a frosty day, BUT what are going to do when you want a quick “sip”. Also if you wear that we can’t see you smile, so not a winner.
The PFC looks stunning makes me want to take a trip back to “the old dart” and hire a canal boat, but it would have to be summer, there’s not enough rum in Davey Jones locker to get me to cruise in a UK winter, what week is summer this year?
