This misinformation gets pass around like a college std. Your dislike of socializing with other persons is based upon other factors such as your culture and upbringing
As an introvert, I am just cackling at Butch's clear misinformation on introverts and obvious discomfort of us. One of those people that doesn't understand that you can sit in the same room with a person and not want to talk to them 😅. Not everyone wants to be your friend and so long as they're not being a standoffish jerk about it (because that's not just introversion, that's someone that is anti-social, or "against socializing". Introverts are usually asocial, as in "without socializing", we're not against it, we are just comfortable without it), then it's fine if the other person doesn't want to speak with you. And we're not wanting others to guess what we're thinking...where did that even come from?! 😂 Sounds like he blended introversion with poor communication in a relationship or something 😅. There's a lot more that's misunderstood about being an introvert as well, such as yes, we do have friends and don't mind going out, along with confusing social anxiety with applying it to introverts (I do not have social anxiety. Social anxiety and introversion are not the same thing), but I would be here all day doing that deconstruction. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm about to do one of my favorite acrivities, going grocery shopping.
As an introvert I wondered, with the laundry list of other complaints and deceptions, why the hell it was such a big deal he didn't like introverts. I read your comment and I'm still wondering.
@@vermis8344 Lol! I can't say for sure what the reason is but here's my best guess: I have an older brother who is extroverted and is also uneasy about me being an introvert. I hate to sound dramatic and cliche, but he doesn't "get it". Being an introvert comes with pre-conceived notions like since we keep to ourselves or only keep small company, it might mean we're a threat in some shape or form. Not being social is seen as weird, different, "other". That's where the ire comes from. "You're not like me, I don't understand why you're not like me, and I don't like that." This mindset fits a lot of issues, in truth. I suppose Butch had a run-in with someone introverted or read something online at the time and it spurned his tirade. And instead of doing even an ounce of research, he felt it was better to play judge and jury on how introverts should behave so that HE can feel better, which was pretty much..."you're not allowed to be an introvert." 😂 Anywho, that's my best guess to all of this.
No doubt there are plenty of critically acclaimed directors, musicians, artists, "show runners", etc. that identify as introverts. For example, Bill Gates. It's just another prejudice Butch can use to feel superior.
The "Cans Without Labels" concept is hilarious to me, because it's just a common shared experience among children who grew up in the '50s/'60s. Grocery stores would sell cans that had lost their labels at an extreme discount (back then, nothing was printed directly on the can to help you piece together what it was if it lost its label, like manufacturers' codes can today). Each kid would pick out a couple of cans at the store, then each might select one at home for use in dinner, and whatever was picked, got eaten.
There was an episode of Ren and Stimpy called Stimpy’s cartoon, where they took a stab at Jon K. By making Ren a tyrant producer. Jon K hated the episode obviously as the episode was originally written by him and tried to make Ren a more sympathetic character.
I love Katie Rice's work, I never knew she was one of John's victims. It's great to see that she has a name and career in animation separate from him, she's incredible.
I didn’t know about her or her work before this video but wow it’s beautiful! Sucks she was a victim of John K. At least she’ll be remembered in a better light than him, along with her own legacy.
To me, there's something particularly gross about someone in a position of privilage using the hardships of those with less for their own egos. They'll scream about helping the underprivilaged from one side of their mouths while claiming those struggles as their own for personal gain and attention. If they really cared, they could transfer that effort put into writing a fake blog to writing about the struggles of the real victims to work towards change, but then they're no longer the main character.
34:19 - I definitely can't agree with that grossly high estimate, especially having grown up in an evangelical environment and being related to such people.

Someone mistaking shyness for introversion again. Good work, Butch. Never mind that his criticisms still do not apply even to shy people. Shy people might need a little encouragement to talk. They are not there trying to force everyone to "guess what they are thinking." They are _afraid_ to say anything. Judgemental comments like what Butch said are part of the reason.
Another comment. I'm an introvert. It's not that we need people to know what we're thinking, it's social interaction, at least for me, wears me out. I do try but it's like work to me
I’m glad I’m an introvert. Don’t have to put up with the bulls**t of others. And yeah I’m self centred, other than putting my family first I think it’s extremely important to put yourself first
It's ambiguous, but it felt like in the intro that you were implying you were going to tell the story of what happened when John K reached out to you later in the video, but nothing new was added.

@@ShermTank7272From what I gather its not the show, but rather Hartman's comments after the fact. He, in Butch fashion, claims much more credit in the shows production (He had some work in the first season, then the last. But he largely had little involvement in the brunt of it.) Also he said that ghosts weren't actually ghosts or spirits but they were like, aliens or some nonsense. Nothing in the show alludes or coraberate this claim, and he started saying this after he became very religious. The fandom just kind of went "What? Seriously what the fu-" and viewed him as an utter boob from then on. If anyone in the fandom wants to clarify please do. I'm largely an outsider commenting on what I know
While I have never understood the appeal of John K’s work I’m super impressed with how few of his fans I’ve seen defend him just because they like his work. I’ve experienced finding out that childhood heroes were scumbags and while I understand the impulse to give such a person the benefit of the doubt, way too many people take that to a delusional degree. Fans of John K’s work seem to have handled the realization that he’s loathsome creep better than many other fan groups.

The Christian propaganda aside, if we're honest with ourselves then we can admit on TV and streaming, Christians are nothing but mocked and demonised. I'm not a church goer or anything btw and I condemn his underhanded intentions to sneak in propaganda. Its not any better than the cartoons Disney+ produce for children where they put trans people above others, parents are often LGBTQ+ and exclusively given positive characteristics appear unblemished, men are characterised as dumb effeminate, women are held above men, stating straight white man then the character appears only negatively... so yeah, disney+ restrictions for children is still not safe.
the thing is, I don’t get how people *didnt* recognize that Butch Hartman was pitching a Christian streaming service. Maybe I’ve just been in conservative churches enough in my life that just hearing the phrases “safe for the whole family” and “you don’t have to worry about what your kids are watching” IMMEDIATELY says to me that this is going to be very very conservative Christian

I'm fine with these compilation videos as a way for you to reuse content. But you really should put in a bit of effort to update stories where it felt incomplete at the time you originally made it. For example, you could have updated Alicia Pierini's story to list her sentence. And you went out of your way in the intro to say you had contact from John K. after this was first uploaded. So I eagerly awaited the end of that section of the video to see what he said to you. But nothing was mentioned again. I love these videos, I'm only saying that adding a few updates where appropriate would really help freshen up these videos.
If people can 'pledge' an amount, there should not be any coming back from that. If you can come back from that, and retract your 'pledge', it should have never been called a pledge.
So, Butch Hartman basically hates everything about me. I'm pansexual, introverted, and on the spectrum. That sucks.... It's just very hurtful to find out that someone who's work you've been a MASSIVE fan of and you've looked up to absolutely hates your frickin' guts...
Just remember: he was not the animation crew. He was just the executive producer. There was a whole team behind his shows that we love. They’re the reason it was good not Butch
Funnily enough, we have a fictional character here in Italy known as "Pierino", and he's basically the living embodyment of what you'd expect a young rascal to be like. A bit of a Kevin McAllister or Dennis the Menace type of kid, except not in a modern setting, and much more naughty and irreverent (like, vandalizing shit, taking bad grades at school, insulting and mocking adults, etc.). So I suppose that for a pest like Pierini, her surname is a very fitting one!
@@ManjiNemesis I think this is a compilation of several previous videos? That would explain the lack of description links and video "cards". Those would have been there on the original individual videos, but not on the re-uploaded compilation. At least that's my best guess.
The descriptions of the fake hivliving people reminds me of the South Park Brand Management company where all of the lists of characteristics ended with "Victim"
There's a difference though when Butch talks about mental illness he comes off as an out of touch boomer who has never actually dealt with these issues and doesn't care. You even though you have never had to deal with these issues and still don't know how it is you still come across as a person who genuinely cares and just wants everyone to be okay regardless. It all comes from your point of view if you don't care about mental illness or those people then it's easy to say you're selfish and just need to get over it. But when you do care and understand you don't just wake up and go "WELL TODAY I THINK IM GONNA BE SUICIDAL!" even though you've never felt it you're still coming from such a humble place of love and care.
Wow, two of my favorite animators proved to be horrible people. As an introvert and someone on the spectrum I am especially disappointed in Hartman although John K being a perv did hit hard as well. :(
I know exactly what you mean. I actually hated ren and stimpy when I was a kid, even though all my friends were *extremely* into it. I found both the animation and subject matter really...off putting like you said is a really good way to describe it. But looking back im glad I was way more into other animation styles when I was learning to draw and about animation back then. Im female and just a few years younger than those girls he groomed, which really squicks me out when i think about it.

I had no idea.. people thought.. Alexander Hamilton.. was a fictional character who can be rewritten. Do they think that's what they did with Hamilton? I mean, I know Hamilton is historically inaccurate because Miranda consulted with exactly one (1) publication to write the play, but it wasn't fictional!
Oh no, you'd be surprised at the number of revisionist fanfics there are about historical figures. They just count it as "their version" of said people.

I have severe mental disorders triggered by a lifetime of extreme abuse. That's not an excuse. I hate when people justify being horrible people with the mental health excuse.
Ah John K, that's... a lot of lies in that man. Lying about "the network" being the problem with Ren & Stimpy and Adult Party Cartoon (he was the problem), lying about being a decent person, lying about everything really.
i think respecting beliefs comes to an end when someone with those beliefs- on camera, jokes that acolleague had something to do with the death of another beloved one after hearing that they were "very sweet and prolific". Moreso when they use their beliefs as a direct shield and motivator for that behaviour. That is, individually. the faith itself i support the free following of and anyone can live their lifes in whatever manner. However, individually im absolutely shredding any idea stemming directly from faith arguments because theyre directly harmful and laughing and saying "oh haha okay i respect that" doesnt prevent any further harm to others. The reason these prolific people get away with poor behaviour is because they have support from other "likeminded" individuals in the church that also inherently support these views.
I'm paraphrasing, 'Butch Hartman is doing what he thinks is right'. Eh. I can appreciate you're willingness to interpret his actions as kindly as possible, these types of people, overwhelmingly, entirely dismiss anyone else's point of view. They will never be bothered to listen or even attempt to think through anything. They are convinced they're right. And those kinds of people... overwhelmingly, do not change. Butch Hartman will likely go the grave believing and spouting wildly harmful things.

Yeah…Butch is weird and kinda insane😅
And instead of doing even an ounce of research, he felt it was better to play judge and jury on how introverts should behave so that HE can feel better, which was pretty much..."you're not allowed to be an introvert." 😂
Anywho, that's my best guess to all of this.
No doubt there are plenty of critically acclaimed directors, musicians, artists, "show runners", etc. that identify as introverts. For example, Bill Gates. It's just another prejudice Butch can use to feel superior.
What a weird complaint. "Oh no a quiet person who minds their own business? How lame!!"
34:19 - I definitely can't agree with that grossly high estimate, especially having grown up in an evangelical environment and being related to such people.
also its not just butch, but ive legit went to comiccons and paid at peoples tables some good money for a sketch. and came back when its finished to see something thats a carbon copy of one of the ref pics, when i just wanted to see the char in THEIR style. its sad
So many people in my life has died from cancer. It terrifies me. It's incredibly painful way to go. Shame on people who fake that.
I do try but it's like work to me
No you aren't. You're a narcissist.
That's your fault for thinking that, returd.
seeing tumblr drama in places other than tumblr is so scary to me
how do other people even find out anything that's going on on that hellsite
Propably through a destructively curious 4chan user scavenging for another Sonic Passion or other source of lolcows to gawk and poke at. Another theory is that a rehabilitated tumblr asylum seekers brought with them these stories to Twitter after the great NFSW cataclysm.
if tumblrs a hellsite idk what shittier sites like Twitter n Facebook count as
im really really proud of john k's victims for speaking out and recovering. with such a power difference and how they looked up to him, thats something really scary to admit to yourself, let alone others. i hope they're doing okay nowadays
I'm in the Danny Phantom fandom on Tumblr, and we've known Butch sucked for YEARS. We just pointed and laughed at the Oaxis stuff (though I do feel bad for the people who donated)
What did the fandom know that the general public didn't? I'm not part of the fandom, but nothing comes to mind as red flags in Danny Phantom itself
@@ShermTank7272From what I gather its not the show, but rather Hartman's comments after the fact. He, in Butch fashion, claims much more credit in the shows production (He had some work in the first season, then the last. But he largely had little involvement in the brunt of it.)
Also he said that ghosts weren't actually ghosts or spirits but they were like, aliens or some nonsense.
"This person is/was extremely talented" and "this person is/was a loathsome scumbag" should never be considered mutually exclusive statements.
No 40 year old has a 16 year old “girlfriend”, 🙄 let’s call them what those girls were; VICTIMS!
Jesus christ man! I still love Ren and Stimpy though. I grew up with it. But that is 100% believable, people are horrible.
I'm curious to what John K said to Daniel after he made the video about him and his Kickstarter?
Wow including certain other people not featured in this video… Brian Peck….Dan “Foot Clan” Schneider… Nickelodeon certainly had a murderers’ row of creeps working for them.
you have a friend in me and i am a gay man i know it doesn't make a difference, give respect to get respect that is all it takes, loved butch, not so much these days
🎶 I want to take you for a ride! 🎶 What a great choice you made picking that theme! 😺
Fun fact: the reason oaxis was made is to be a vehicle for the agenda of four mountain dominionists
"Fun fact" indeed :S
*seven
the thing is, I don’t get how people *didnt* recognize that Butch Hartman was pitching a Christian streaming service. Maybe I’ve just been in conservative churches enough in my life that just hearing the phrases “safe for the whole family” and “you don’t have to worry about what your kids are watching” IMMEDIATELY says to me that this is going to be very very conservative Christian
Background music is on point! Nostalgic video game tunes, interesting stories, and great delivery has made me a fast fan.
Keep up the great work, let the scammers know that we don't forget!
There are some really awful stories about John K. out there. Undeniable really.
1:02:15 - Kick-trolling is alive and well in the Card Game scene. Just recently some games had to deal with a Kick-troller promising tens of thousands.
I certainly hope your Amico news arrives quickly Slopes! I know we aren't done yet. There doesn't appear to be anything online.
They say never meet your heroes.
I can finally finish my watch from yesterday.
Never meet your hero's . Learn from their socially beloved talents .
Cast the shadows aside . Take what's useful . Build what's beneficial .
I'm still on the John K bit and was thinking what on earth is slopes on about here, and then the bomb dropped. Ren and Stimpy ruined.
"We all have friends that live differently" yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!
Kricfalusi's cartoonish hair dye makes him look like he dates 14 year olds.
_"Checks in the mail, Ed."_
He’s never heard of toner. Sooooo brassy. An adult would never let that slide.
If people can 'pledge' an amount, there should not be any coming back from that. If you can come back from that, and retract your 'pledge', it should have never been called a pledge.
im a huge john K fan too, shame about all the stuff that came out after :( hes got such a unique and undeniably influential style
damn, talking about a fallen childhood idol... I had no idea about John K. Thanks for letting me know
Ack! Finally! I saw you pop up was devastated, as it wasn't available... time to kick back with a brew with my cat and watch an awesome compilation ❤❤
So, Butch Hartman basically hates everything about me. I'm pansexual, introverted, and on the spectrum. That sucks.... It's just very hurtful to find out that someone who's work you've been a MASSIVE fan of and you've looked up to absolutely hates your frickin' guts...
Yeah 😅 I hate his guts
Whatever happened to Butch Hartman?
Just remember: he was not the animation crew. He was just the executive producer. There was a whole team behind his shows that we love. They’re the reason it was good not Butch
@@KadeemG61 he’s still on RUclips and is as delusional as ever
Never have a parasocial relationship with someone just because you like their work. People gotta learn this
Funnily enough, we have a fictional character here in Italy known as "Pierino", and he's basically the living embodyment of what you'd expect a young rascal to be like.
26:05 wow, the fact that she did this makes me foam-at-the-mouth angry
I'm a lurker, but had to comment. @46:30 You're a real one for this. Good job on actually giving a funk. ❤
Might want to add some links though lol.
@@ManjiNemesis I think this is a compilation of several previous videos? That would explain the lack of description links and video "cards". Those would have been there on the original individual videos, but not on the re-uploaded compilation. At least that's my best guess.
@dn22pkkdd476 Yeah, I figured as much, too. Hope so.
The John K stuff was upsetting. I still have a wall of Ren & Stimpy stuff along a wall in my back room though..
Luckily, most of the actual writing was done by Bob Camp, the second in command behind John K
Ironic that this video has two former Nickelodeon animation directors on there.
There seems to be a running theme for Nick having all these horrible people being in charge of others
@@randomtinypotatocried A disturbingly high rate of men involved in children's entertainment turn out to be creeps and scumbags.
Wow, that ends with a case of a crowdfunding scam played from the other angle where a backer is the scammer
"Cannibalistic mermaid"
Me: *jazz music stops*
I think she's the creator of the famous drawing of Hamilton in a Hatsune Miku chest binder
That last guy is the worst. The others are horrible but wow, that last guy is just a psychopath.
i just watched Cans after seeing this, and i have to say i really enjoyed it!
You need to do the Army Alphas and Blanks kickstarter scam from Austin Gentry with Cryptid Toys.
I'm guessing that Nostalgia Nerd's Barcadia KS campaign started after this video was made.
The irony of pushing mobile game sponsors whilst exposing scams is not lost on me.
So good to hear DJ Slopes' voice again!
Wow, two of my favorite animators proved to be horrible people. As an introvert and someone on the spectrum I am especially disappointed in Hartman although John K being a perv did hit hard as well. :(
The irony in that b roll of videos talking about Butch’s plagiarism including a video from Illuminaughti. 😂
The Mother 3 Music on Butch Hartmant being a shitty person is so fitting
Is this old or is there actually an update coming on Tommy "My mom's very proud of me" Tallarico?
An update is incoming regarding the amico
I hope that kicktroller steps on Legos for scamming so many people for no reason.
Not the HIVLiving jumpscare. I was in the hamilton trenches around that time
Kickscam, Kickgrift, Kickfraud, Kickscrew...the names just seem to write themselves.
I dont know how many people 35-45 got so disappointed and disgusted by john k. Everyone I know at least.
I always found his animation style creepy and off-putting. It just felt "dirty".
Im female and just a few years younger than those girls he groomed, which really squicks me out when i think about it.
oaxis one-
i once applied to a compay in florida which had a huge operation editing videos, by ...... wait for it..... chapter markers for DVDs. they would sell you a piece of software that was a dvd player with preset chapter markers per movie. the chapter markers made main stream movies a new "viewing". Such as wanna watch little mermaid with none of the romance? well they will sell you that "edit" for you to watch with the kids, only catch you had to own the movie and watch on their software. they banked. the owners made so much cash they started a new biz, one thats in a lawsuit last i heard with amazon for their product x-ray
Cool new video, kickscammers is a good format
I had no idea.. people thought.. Alexander Hamilton.. was a fictional character who can be rewritten. Do they think that's what they did with Hamilton? I mean, I know Hamilton is historically inaccurate because Miranda consulted with exactly one (1) publication to write the play, but it wasn't fictional!
Oh no, you'd be surprised at the number of revisionist fanfics there are about historical figures. They just count it as "their version" of said people.
Is this your first time learning about fanfiction? Or, more accurately, real person fiction (RPF)?
Did you not learn that "fanfiction" involving actual people can lead to lawsuits? Or are we gullible teenagers making things up as we go along?
In the grown-up world we have something called libel laws.
Let's do some "fanfiction" on you, shall we? Do we recognize social boundaries?
Look up Hetalia and feel your mind melt
even though he is real he can be rewritten there are a shit ton of true story bio pictures that have a shit tone of made up stuff about them
HOLY, GLOBS OF DOOM MUSIC!!!!
Amazing video as always :D
When people can't handle what you think, you start t relay what you think less, and become an introvert. Or at least more introvert. Compare that to 41:17 ... Thumbs up.
24:30 if we are being really dark, realize some said "I have cancer and only mo the to live", then... they could ONLY raise $30k.
That should tell you how much society values your existence
i remember someone sent a 70 dollar figure of kamen rider ghost to butch hartmann and he mispronounced the name terribly
The timecode says "HITLiving" instead of "HIVLiving'.
Thank you for not censoring the word "suicide"
"Cans with no labels" is funny. But that was it? A kickstarter for a ten minute cartoon?
butch hartman is the definition of a mid creator he thinks he is better then he is
And is a disgrace to Christianity and a fake Christian and delusional 😅
Great compilation of kickstarter mishaps! I was wondering what that shooter game was that was in the background at 53:30. It looks really fun

I just found out last night about the debacle that went on about 8 months ago with ex-fellow gaming channels. I was thinking it would end up here seeing as I think they had gofundme/kickstarters.
Yeah, I'm doing some drama hunting. I wanna know the whole story, so I am going to all other channels previously associated with them, that I am subscribed to. I still watch them, though, and so far am taking it as they needed to learn their lesson to watch what they use and what they put online.
I wish you and your family the very best, seem like a good guy, you deserve that 👏
I've enjoyed watching your Kickstarter Scam videos but this was a real exercise in killing your heroes with the John K. coverage. Thank you for talking honestly about how lousy it was for his fans to hear about his abuse and for renouncing him. What a scumbag. Love your videos!
Appreciate it bud... This one was tough
Yeah, the Butch Hartman thing really hurt when I enjoyed fairly odd parents and danny phantom so much.
wow two Nick guys I grew up with on one video.
I LOVE that 1/3rd of this vid is Dan post-purchase rationalizing himself out of buyer's remorse. Something almost EVERY content creator does after backing a mediocre, not failed (like Mighty No.9), just mediocre product. Complete with the typical "I'm not defending it" line
Those sponsosrs call every online game an MMO lol
Maybe it's because I grew up in the culture it seemed very obvious to me from the beginning he was trying to push a very conservative, Christian agenda.
Of all the places I would be reminded of HIV living I would have never have expect to hear about it here, I would have expect Cr1tikal to talk about it before you!! Haha
Really dig your content man. Seem like a cool bloke id like to chill with and play some games

@PikaTrollU . He didn't tbf bro, he did clarify that guy was part of a separation group from Christianity. I don't like to see the hate for religion that is tolerated and seen so often now, so I wouldn't give that hate any justification by supporting that man's values.
