Obviously, the best way to deal with creeps at cons is to do bad Sonic impressions.

More help with uncomfortable people at conventions: 1.) if you are somewhere more isolated and someone is bothering you, try to get to a place with a lot of people. If you make a scene in a more crowded area there is either a chance people will see and interrupt or alert security, or you can escape into the crowd.
2.) Make note of any distinctive features of that person bothering you. Security cant do much if you dont remember what they look like. Note cosplay, merch, hair, whatever. Also keep an eye on if they have a badge or not, sometimes the badges have identifying names or if they could get it revoked if the person is being particularly concerning.

how to call out a creep when they're harassing someone else: loudly and obnoxiously. it'll alert everyone, and they'll be embarrassed and probably will stop. other people will know to stay away from them too.

For combin out long cheap(er) wigs i really recommend a wide tooth comb. A brush will usually just pull the hair out when a wide tooth comb won't, these are also really cheap and you can usually get them at any drugstore

  • @envy4hearts

Heyya! I've more advice when dealing with long wigs like using a bit of silicone lubricant to comb through the wig prevents them fizzing up and getting tangled when you walk around cons.
Putting the wigs up in loose braids for storage has been pretty handy and they wont end up in a mess when you wanna use them next time :DDD

I'd really like to see a cosplay upgrade video. Where you take an older cosplay that you still like and working in some new props or upgrading it. I think a lot of people forget that upgrading is a great way to refresh old cosplays. Or even turning them into seasonal ones, like a fall version of Poison Ivy that uses oak leaves instead of ivy for example.

Another way to get out of a creepy situation is straight up tell that person that they're crossing the line, or making you uncomfortable before setting security on them. I feel like it's a bit unfair. And the opposite has happened to someone I know. He was being stalked by minors and when he told them to leave him alone, they went and told security that he was harassing them. (We all vouched for him and he got off the hook tho)

  • @lesbiankiller8183

I’m still a younger cosplayer, so I’m always worried about creeps. This upcoming con I’m going to is kinda big so I’m extra worried about them. Lucky for me, I’m going with a big ( ish ) group, a guy friend, and since the convention is so big and I’m still on the younger side, my father ( who is also a huge nerd ) is going with me. Honestly, he’d probably go even if I didn’t.

If anyone needs it, here's a small (but weird sounding) trick I use for removing awkward lipstick stains - Apply a layer of toothpaste to the stain then rinse it off with water, it works amazingly for me and have saved me from a lot of awkward situations as when you wipe it off with a wipe it easily smudges and can be difficult to get off and soap and water in my opinion doesn't work as well. Hope this helps!

How do you store your cosplay stuff, like wigs, props and costume pieces themself so they stay safe for future use? How do you clean some the stuff for cosplay that you cant put in the wash? Do you clean your wigs at all? I've heard of soaking them in fabric softeners to clean and help detangle them.

Idk if you're still doing these but I have a question
How should you get out of a conversation that is starting to turn unpleasent, or they think you're an older age that you are and start talking about things for people that age

Tbh whatever age you are a stranger shouldn’t be talking about that to a random person, I recommend being kind of rude and physically shoving them away if you have to.

(Sorrry i talk a lottt i just have a question abt cosplay stufff) Kinda late but ive been binge watching your videos a LOT lately in preparation for cosplay tingsss. Very informative! Thank you! I have one question, dunno if youve gone over this or not, so i apologize if im repeating something. Kinda tmi- i guess lolll btw im a cisfem teen.
I’m gonna cosplay a male character (kirishima from mha) and im only slightly worried about one thing- im not uh exactly flat chested- like- even sports bras dont do too much for me :/ my mom would be kinda freaked out i feel if i got a binder... even tho that would be ideal. she would think im questioning my gender and stuff which im very much not- its just for cosplay stuff lolll sooo any tips?

Just an idea, why don't you do a makeup tutorial for the characters that you have cosplayed as it might help cosplays who might need help with it

I totally would, but unfortunately I'm not comfortable showing myself on the internet without makeup. :(

Okay I have a question, It Might be Long it's not about cosplay itself but I want to get into Cosplay, But I'm a bit Self Conscious
Of my Teeth, I don't know if that's weird or not, I have pretty Bad Teeth Ever Since I grew them, They Have caused me problems
But that's not what I'm going to get into, I can't wear braces, and I was always bullied for my teeth, So I very anti-social When it comes to Showing my face, and I don't know what to do.
Sorry if Its out of line to ask this or not, I'm Just really wondering.

Just a quick note for beginners SOME people consider genderbending transphobic, to be completely honest im not sure why but it was a huge controversy on Instagram awhile ago

I cant be the only person wondering if liquid foundation is better than powdered?

    • @zanderpanda5057
      @zanderpanda5057 3 года назад

They can both be good. It just depends on what kind of look you want. Powder gives a more matte look and liquid gives a more dewy look.

I really want to gender bend cosplay, but someone told me this was transphobic. Can I get some insight from someone who is trans themselves? Is it actually transphobic? I’m sorry if I’m asking for too much, but I don’t want to offend anyone.

I personally love wig reviews but maybe you could try cheaper ones or something to make it different
    Like if you agree 😊✨
