Hey Alfredo, Im new to the game, and installed a windshield with the moldings backwards. So i had to recut the windshield to reinstall. How clean does the windshield have to be, in regards to the urethane thats on there. Does it have to be completely scraped off bare. Or is 1mm or less thickness ok?
I would trim down as much as possible and start fresh but at the same time it doesn’t have to be completely remove since you’ll be using the exact same urethane. If you’re using a urethane that requires primer to glass then I would reapplied primer on the areas that the primer came off the glass.

@@AlfredosAutoGlassRepairCorona Ended up scraping as much as i could off the windshielr, didnt get it all off completely, but to compensate i used a bit more primer than usual. This time around i didnt use the beta seal urethane, i opted out to try some 3M windshield sealer, and it layed down really well. in the end, it was a successful windshield replacement, no leaks, square vin. thanks alfredo, sincerely for all your help and videos
