Cactus Flower Looms - Wedge Weave

Learn the technique of wedge weave. This weave is suitable for all looms - Cactus Flower, continuous warp, ridged heddle, table looms and floor looms. Just remember you can't use your beater bar, you need a tapestry fork. This video will instruct you in the basics - you will want to experiment on your own. Happy weaving!

I don't weave in the ends. I just overlap one color over the previous color in the same shed and keep going.

What a wonderful tutorial! I can't get my edges to scallop at all - they are just straight! What might I be doing wrong?

Have you taken it off the loom? It won't scallop until you do. Depending on your yarn, some scallops are small and not real noticable. Don't worry, tho', just have fun!

I did a 6 x 8 sample...turned out good...would like to see how you do the chevron so it doesn;t go all the way to the outer edge, chevron is in the middel and right and left.,...thank you. also does your book explain this? and where do I get it? thank you!

It's fun to experiment with all the different patterns you can develop with wedge weave. I am going to do another video with more ideas. My book just explains the balanced wedge weave. You can buy it on Etsy or Ebay.
