Hey Andrew , just wanted to say I'm glad I found your channel! You do a great job on your reviews with your information, and pictures. Fail or not you post it and I appreciate that! I will keep coming back and enjoying your videos for as long as you make them! I have subscribed😉 and suggest anybody that loves rc does the same!👍🏻👍🏻. Keep up the good work, and I hope to put out videos as entertaining as yours one day! Thanks for your hard work my friend! FACE.
I have been wondering which of these I should get for a while now. Going to build a small army of FPV micro quads with interchanging camera. Great videos mate. Wish I had enough time to make videos and review stuff.
Nice neat solution compared to my AIO 3g camera that needs a mini BEC soldered into the power line or separate battery... Eachine keep coming out with nice neat solutions for affordable FPV. Good stuff Andrew, hoping you'll get a set of the new Eachine VR D2 5 goggles when they arrive. I had a set of the Kylins in the cart last week and then seen the new Eachine's when doing a price comparison, figured I'd wait for these ones :D
Nice review once again :) Nice little pieces of kits! Really impressed by these little CMOS FPV cameras, it looks like they are going to overpass CCD FPV cameras... At least Banggood is far away more smart than Hobbyking since they propose both cameras with PAL/NTSC :D Thanks for sharing and happy midweek
I have 4 of the EF-01 cameras and all four are now non functional. After a while the blue light starts flashing quickly and the camera does not work any more. I think they get far too hot.
is that white wire a ground wire. im wanting to solder a camera similar to that to my 200qx control board. it will turn on when i attach the red and black wires so do i really need the white wire or should i attach it to a screw or something?!? please help from st. louis mo. usa
I just got an MC01. looks fine however it comes with an extra little circuit board. I can't find anything mentioning it on the banggood website and I haven't seen it on any other reviews. Did your MC01 come with an extra little circuit board and do you know what its for?
I'm not 100% sure but it looks a little bit like a BEC. As there are soldering pads for GND and +. Also I have some extra wires with my MC01. Wonder if they've updated it since your review?
I've found out whats the circuit board is. The mysterious circuit board is a boost module. What has happened is that they've sent me a MC01 but the MC02 wires and boost module has come with it. Not sure how that has happened......
Good review of the two cameras, but am I to understand that that you are photographing the goggles/monitor with a camera? This is a crazy way to derive video, and will cause heavy quality loss. Most monitors have a composite video out that can be fed to a DVR, and some have one built in. The principle loss of quality in FPV is multipath, which leads to destructive interference and ghosting. The latter is inherent in all high bandwidth serial RF transmission. With simple devices like these, correct antenna position, diversity receivers, and directional tracking antennas can help a lot.
Yes you are correct, but usually I have no need to record the FPV video feed. I can get vastly superior onboard video using a Mobius camera. This was just a an easy way to show the FPV cameras do work well, using the equipment to hand.
Thanks for the review of these tiny FPV backpacks. I just purchased an FX797T which weighs 4.71g. I hope it performs as well as these.
I ordered the MC01! Thanks Andrew.
Excellent, it's an amazing little unit.

Thanks so much, I have subbed back. I think the fails are often more instructive and entertaining than a straight review.
nice FPV flight @Andrew :)
I use a MC01 and in my opinion its a great little FPV Combo for my little 80cm Wing :)
Yes it is just right.
nice.
like how you kept referencing the Skipper..
Oh yes I did too. Ah well, they're the same plane.
I have been wondering which of these I should get for a while now.

As always Andrew, a very good clear and honest review. I've ordered one of the MC01 and I'll try them in my FT Arrow... Thank you
Yes I really like the MC01, just plug it in to the Rx on any plane. So simple.
You can remove the cases and screws and save a few more grams, especially with the EF-01. Thanks for the demo.
Yes I have seen that done
I will also buy the 3,7v Version for my Inductrix :)
I dont have any 1S aircraft but it would be perfect. Can remove the metal casing to save weight.
+Andrew Newton jup
Seeing the box goggles makes me wish I saved up for the slimmer ones
Nice test, the MC looked better, less breakups
Yes I agree, better antenna I think.

Ooh the goggles sound nice, thanks.

They are a real surprise, didn't think the range and picture quality would be so good.
I have 4 of the EF-01 cameras and all four are now non functional. After a while the blue light starts flashing quickly and the camera does not work any more. I think they get far too hot.
Not good, thanks for the info. Maybe they need a better heatsink
They aren't very robust.
Great comparison! Did you notice more 'fish eye' effect with the MC01 or is that just my perception from the extra nose/fuse in the video?
Same lens I think, just positioning.
Thanks Andrew,
Great video!!! What would be the range on a 25 mW? Thanks!
In that little test flight I was flying 200m with no problems, I'll do a proper range test soon, but it's plenty for normal LOS distance flying.
Thank you, they look like awesome little packs and easy to stick them to almost any plane!
+RCLateBloomer Iforce2d flew 1.6km with the MC01
Wow, that's a lot! thanks for the info!
+RCLateBloomer NP but you have to use Helical or Patch Antennas for that.

The white is most likely not connected
Does it have a on and off or do you have to use the transmitter to control the camera Thanks
It's on when it's plugged in. No transmitter control either.
do either have a microphone?
No audio-out wire so I'm guessing there's no mics
what camera and settings were you using for the view of you with the goggles on? The quality and color look really awesome.
That was the SJ5000X Elite on 1080p 30fps. Low contrast picture setting. Super sharp and saturated colours from that cam.
+Andrew Newton yes it looks so sharp I would not have been surprised if you said it was shot at 120fps
The 2K results are even better!
The shed stuff was also that cam.
