Looking forward to the flight time comparison! The 200mW one seems to be of better value but I'm look into using it as a camera for indoor fpv so using it in small quads may be a downer. Great channel by the way!!
Good thing I'm using a separate lipo for the EF01. I made little board with cam and lipo for sticking on Mjx x600 en Syma x5 type quadcopters with velcro. Now I'm looking for a second aio camera for the X100 but it's definitely going to be one WITH filter. Didn't even know about the fact those little motors could be a 'problem' for clean power to the cam. Thanks for the info! ....and the video ...of which I still have to watch 13m :-P
Yes, it does draw more power and the flight time will be shorter. Someone else also asked this so I will test both on my Tiny Whoop and see how much the flight time will be reduced.
Looking for an AIO to mount on my Eachine E010 micro TinyWhoop clone. These guys are going cheap now on BangGood. The TX02 literature says it draws a whopping 500mA for the cam + 480mA for the VTX - that's a no-go for my application. Surprisingly TX01 literature says it draws only 200mA for the camera + 200mA for the VTX... which is more realistic for microquads running off tiny 300mAh 25C batteries.
I want one of these, but given that the current draw should be much higher on the 200mw one, I might go for TX-01. Your range test did not show a significant difference. Antar chance you could check/measure the actual current draw? Great video, thanks!
to measure amp. using multimeter set to amps connect multimeter in series as part of circuit at any point. for example cut the black battery wire and put the positive multimeter lead to the side of black wire running to vtx and black lead to the battery side of black wire.
Nice. The FX798 is good for a TinyWhoop kind of quad, because it comes in at 3.8g. But i will definitely get a TX01 for my 90mm in-home racer. btw, did you test both at the same time? Could it be the diferent frequency?
The tests were side by side at the same time. I used 5740 and 5860 as the frequencies for the tests. So there shouldn't be any interference from the other.
Yes but i believe that the output power differs from a frequency to another. The TX01 seems to be the smarter and cheaper option but it can't beat the 3.8g of the FX798.
It depends on the kind of walls. Usually for concrete like a parking structure, 25mW would be better. For trees where some signal can get through, 200mW would probably be better. However, you have to test your environment to be sure.
Hi I have just bought this TX02 and I'll use the Eachine VR D2 Goggles.. The question is: How to know which frequency and band is the best to use? The VR2 do not have frequency auto search" Thanks.
By using Eachine TX02 pro can i hear audio from Eachine EV800?

Nice review Really helpful to decide which FPV cam worthed to buy. Thank you
Great review. Love it when there is a definite winning recommendation! Thanks!

Hi. My tx02 has image left/right reversed! Is there a way to change this?
I wonder what's the range on the tx 2 because that's super cool to own.
have you tested battery life at all? I'm wondering if the 200mW power will make a significant difference on flight times
+Jon B Baca I have and the video will be out soon.
yes! power consumation test would be great
Hi what battery do you use
I have the TX01, which was great, but it suddenly started overexposing the video. Any ideas how this could be fixed, or how I could debug?
+Wickedsight usually means a capacitor has failed on the camera board. I have no idea how to find it.
Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll be ordering a new one.
What’s the range on your camera tx01
would it be easy to change the unit on my sailfly x with one of these?
I recommend you get this one instead - bit.ly/2mNVhH7
If I put hot glue on the stem of the antenna and the center of the lobe thing would it affect the range/video? thanks
+Matthew CabaIIero nope... That's what I do
Please is the TX02 need a filter or it can be connected directly to the main batterie of the micro drone?
+Ananous it has a filter built in
ok thank you!
on the tx02 if you where going to cut the video pin to tap in an OSD which one would you cut? is the outside one on the bottom the video?
I think it's the top one.
i bought a tx02 and i have a f450 with apm.so how could i use tx02 with it..im using a 3s lipo...thanks
For the the tx02 can I use a Rhcp antenna, what way does the clover leaf go lhcp or rhcp
Rhcp
@@AlbertKimTV so can I use a rhcp or is the camera rhcp
Is there mic in tx02?
does the tx02 draw more power than the 25mw cameras?
Just what I was going to ask lol. Thx Dod.
Yes, it does draw more power and the flight time will be shorter. Someone else also asked this so I will test both on my Tiny Whoop and see how much the flight time will be reduced.
ok thanks if it's not to much 200mw is the way to go😃
Albert Kim could you maybe even measure the current on both? =)
How much time will it work on a 3.7v 140mah battery? Approximately

+K Khalifah Yes, see my other video comparision. The TX02 sucks down a lot more power and cuts down flight times.

+zippiz how do I measure current draw exactly with this setup
Albert Kim I'm not entirely sure, but would it not be possible to just hook them up to a multimeter one at the time on the bench?
to measure amp. using multimeter set to amps connect multimeter in series as part of circuit at any point. for example cut the black battery wire and put the positive multimeter lead to the side of black wire running to vtx and black lead to the battery side of black wire.
+Albert Kim (marblekit)
Laboratory power supply :)
I was hoping you were gonna discuss power consumption comparison
I have a separate video on that. Will be posted in a day or two after I edit it. :)
cool thanks
nice video, but i have a question: Can you switch the camera from 200mw to 25mw? because i order the wrong tx for my Ciny whoop
Nice. The FX798 is good for a TinyWhoop kind of quad, because it comes in at 3.8g.
But i will definitely get a TX01 for my 90mm in-home racer.

How does yours weigh 3.8g? Mine is 4.4g with the case off.
Mine is just decased and the wire cut to length.
I have a very accurate scale and mine is nowhere near as light.
is tx03 with 25mw setting better than tx01 ?
How about power consumption between tx01 and tx02? can you do a flight test between them? great video thx!!
I can already tell you that the 200mW will have a shorter flight time. But you want to know "how much" shorter, right?
Yes sir! Is the distance worth the flight time?
How far do you plan to fly? The 25mW seems to be able to go pretty far already.
The furthest reliable control range would be around 70 meter...devo 7e + dsm2 micro receiver
So which is better for wall and tree penetration?
It depends on the kind of walls. Usually for concrete like a parking structure, 25mW would be better. For trees where some signal can get through, 200mW would probably be better. However, you have to test your environment to be sure.
Nice
nice review
thanks!
SUB . you did show me i can turn it on and off .... was about to throw it away ... THANKS !
Glad I could help!
Hi I have just bought this TX02 and I'll use the Eachine VR D2 Goggles.. The question is: How to know which frequency and band is the best to use? The VR2 do not have frequency auto search"
Thanks.
+Alfonso Irwin you need a Spectrum analyzer to see what parts of the band are noisy.
wow!!! that's sound complicated... I'm still waiting for the VR D2. "takes forever from BG" so, we will see... Thanks again.
awesome vid thank you so much
+John Forbes you're welcome
why is so hot and smell on 3.7v 600 mah? can it burn? :O
the antennas look slightly different
Really? I hadn't noticed. What looks different about them?
Maybe it's the video they look different somehow.
nice :)
Mmmmm
