    Currently doing a De-Load this week just to give the body a break .. being going hard since November and a-lot of it was in a deficit ..
    Recently just upped my calories a bit and then in going to do a mini-cut in the summer when I’ve a few weddings coming up …

    8 weeks is not a mini cut. That's almost full contest prep. I wouldn't agree unless you're very fat.

      I'm afraid you do not know what you're talking about. A mini-cut in the realms of bodybuilding would typically be 6-8 weeks, maybe 4 if you went really aggressively. Conversely I've literally never seen a successful contest prep that was less than 12 weeks, let alone 8. Contest preps are usually 16 weeks minimum.
