Nick Dunn is an absolute diamond! Totally agree with the inevitable ageing problem in fly-fishing and the need for arm/shoulder lightness requirement. I'd really like to see a proper half-wells handle though, especially on a reservoir rod, as it surely helps with power transfer.

Hi lindsay I have been reading just lately about the youth in Scotland are coming up strong young lads . so I think it's more of a area thing than a over all thing . So the young lads from Scotland are looking good 👍

I think the 7-8 has a half wells handle. This one was the 5-6.

Do you do the 9’, #5/6 but with a full wells handle? Due to arthritis in my hands I find the full wells shape much more comfortable.
