    Hi Igor,
    When you compare price u should also consider UDS vs CAD exchange rates. CAD has 30% lower value in comparison to USD I.e 1 USD = 1.3 CAD. So it is obvious that in Canada the prices will be atleast 30% more for most of the products.

      Yep. However, the US prices would still be lower even after you do the currency conversion

      @@ammarseud5461 Yes you are right...for the products which is produced locally or the products which is imported with low supply chain cost than the other country will be cheaper . It's applicable for both USA n Canada

      I live in Michigan next to one of the Ontario crossing points. My town is flooded with Canadian shoppers. The cost of food, goods, and gas is much cheaper in Michigan than in Ontario even after the exchange rate.

    The eggs. You compared generic 18 to a speciality 18 by the looks of it. And not providing what state (each state has different taxes) and the exchange rate of the days you filmed. Not a great comparison.

  • @D_Marrenalv
    @D_Marrenalv Год назад +1

    Canada has the Canadian Dollar and the US has the US Dollar.. so this comparison is of equal $$, because you're not taking into account the exchange rates between the two countries. The Can/Dollar has a different value than the US/Dollar.

    Why dairy is expensive in Canada is due to Canadian regulations. But life in Canada is in general more expensive that USA. Although I recently visited Calgary was impressed how the cost of living there is cheaper than Ontario! Ill take 5 percent taxes. Less sales taxes than US also

    I enjoy your videos, but you should not compare USD to CAD. Yes the US will still be lower, but you are making it look way worse than it is by treating the USD asif its the CAD. Compare it after exchange rates and taxes, that would be the best way.

    Our dollar sucks in comparison to the US in fact every fiat currency in the world is going to go down in comparison to the US dollar until the entire system collapses. The US dollar is only looking “stronger” because every other country’s currency is falling. It’s wild. A country as rich as Canada - speaking in natural resources terms - the real economy - we shouldn’t have this expensive cost of living but that is the world

    The US products might be cheaper sometimes but they will be full of pesticides and other poisons. American products don't meet the basic food standards of the UK and EU so are not allowed to be sold there. No doubt the Canadian products are healthier, or at least not so unhealthy, and so therefore costs more.

    The price of milk is a good indication of the gouging happening in the USA. Canada has a milk marketing board that uses economists to determinet the price of milk. Based on exchange rates, the milk in Calgary is much cheaper than in the USA. USA heavily subsidizes its milk supply, so what gives- gouging. In Canada, people complain of the high cost of milk set by a committee of government, suppliers and producers, which is now delivering milk cheaper than the land of free enterprise/

    • @milohrnic2023

      You are wrong. Milk and all dairy products are cheaper in the USA. It isn't even close.

      @@milohrnic2023 Igor's video shows a gallon of milk at a higher price in USA than in Calgary. USA should be cheaper, but as Igor's video shows, the price if a gallon of milk is higher in Walmart south of the border, and lower in Walmart north of the border. American milk should be cheaper because of government subsidies but in this case it isn't, so the difference must be gouging. Canadian milk price was last reset in June, no government subsidies on that price, So likely gouging in USA.
