Hi Igor,
When you compare price u should also consider UDS vs CAD exchange rates. CAD has 30% lower value in comparison to USD I.e 1 USD = 1.3 CAD. So it is obvious that in Canada the prices will be atleast 30% more for most of the products.
Yep. However, the US prices would still be lower even after you do the currency conversion
@@ammarseud5461 Yes you are right...for the products which is produced locally or the products which is imported with low supply chain cost than the other country will be cheaper . It's applicable for both USA n Canada
they gouge you and make you pay more for arbitrary reasons
acting like trains and cars cost lots of money is a joke
shipping is like 10c per product
I live in Michigan next to one of the Ontario crossing points. My town is flooded with Canadian shoppers. The cost of food, goods, and gas is much cheaper in Michigan than in Ontario even after the exchange rate.
@@The_SeoulJourner this is so right... canada is overrated
Nice and your voice is full of concentration. Appreciate you and your channel. Love you and your channel. Thanks for sharing.
As an American in Canada I can assure you almost all products are more expensive up here in Canada. But I find pork to be cheap here in Alberta.
Eggs, Poultry and Dairy are very strictly price and supply controlled in Canada to keep the prices high.
Hi Igor! I just wanna say, your videos are AWESOME! And very helpful! Keep going! (Btw Real Canadian SuperStore is the best grocery store in Canada)
I guess that depends where in Canada you are. There is no Real Canadian Superstore in my neck of the woods.
Igor your upload versatility is outsanding.
Igor, the comparison might not work properly only you do the currency conversion too. US dollar is slightly higher than Canadain dollar. Weldone job.
I love you Igor. You are my one true love
Does the US also have taxes you would need to pay on top of the price mentioned on the price tag?
Yes in most states.
Food does not pay taxes in the US, non-food items pay 8% in Texas
Do you like such videos? Exchange rate? USA as still cheap!

Why not just make videos selling your mortgage company.
The eggs. You compared generic 18 to a speciality 18 by the looks of it. And not providing what state (each state has different taxes) and the exchange rate of the days you filmed. Not a great comparison.
Canada has the Canadian Dollar and the US has the US Dollar.. so this comparison is of equal $$, because you're not taking into account the exchange rates between the two countries. The Can/Dollar has a different value than the US/Dollar.
Wages are higher and taxes are lower in America.
Professionals in the US earn higher wage than in Canada. Tax are also lower. So while the currency conversion could apply, life is just more expensive in Canada.
Hello igor ...
I wanna request to u ...u should be add subtitle with your video bcoz i am unable to understand your accent sometimes not all .and u should do it ..bocoz may be here is like u...
Why dairy is expensive in Canada is due to Canadian regulations. But life in Canada is in general more expensive that USA. Although I recently visited Calgary was impressed how the cost of living there is cheaper than Ontario! Ill take 5 percent taxes. Less sales taxes than US also
There should never be taxes on Canadian foods
Igor, I am seeing walmart of same large size like US in Ottawa region. There are some smaller walmarts in US too. Somehow, the quality of walmart here is better than walmarts in the most interior states of the US.
I enjoy your videos, but you should not compare USD to CAD. Yes the US will still be lower, but you are making it look way worse than it is by treating the USD asif its the CAD. Compare it after exchange rates and taxes, that would be the best way.
I agree I think he should’ve showed a receipt with the same groceries after checking at the register with taxes and everything included, otherwise this is not accurate at all, waste of time.
Exchange rates??
Doesn't matter. Wages are way higher in the USA compared to the british penal colony-er I mean Canada.

Is that the Walmart on mcleaod trail one in Acadia ?
Yes

Most be strong to live in Canada ....⭐⭐⭐
Our dollar sucks in comparison to the US in fact every fiat currency in the world is going to go down in comparison to the US dollar until the entire system collapses. The US dollar is only looking “stronger” because every other country’s currency is falling. It’s wild. A country as rich as Canada - speaking in natural resources terms - the real economy - we shouldn’t have this expensive cost of living but that is the world
The US products might be cheaper sometimes but they will be full of pesticides and other poisons. American products don't meet the basic food standards of the UK and EU so are not allowed to be sold there. No doubt the Canadian products are healthier, or at least not so unhealthy, and so therefore costs more.
Blah blah blah
@@toluani7690 such an intelligent response lol.
Cope baloney.
oh canada😫
The price of milk is a good indication of the gouging happening in the USA. Canada has a milk marketing board that uses economists to determinet the price of milk. Based on exchange rates, the milk in Calgary is much cheaper than in the USA. USA heavily subsidizes its milk supply, so what gives- gouging. In Canada, people complain of the high cost of milk set by a committee of government, suppliers and producers, which is now delivering milk cheaper than the land of free enterprise/
You are wrong. Milk and all dairy products are cheaper in the USA. It isn't even close.
@@milohrnic2023 Igor's video shows a gallon of milk at a higher price in USA than in Calgary. USA should be cheaper, but as Igor's video shows, the price if a gallon of milk is higher in Walmart south of the border, and lower in Walmart north of the border. American milk should be cheaper because of government subsidies but in this case it isn't, so the difference must be gouging. Canadian milk price was last reset in June, no government subsidies on that price, So likely gouging in USA.
@@rb239rtr We don't need to guess, the USDA Official Milk Prices Retail Report is right here. www.ams.usda.gov/sites/default/files/media/RetailMilkPrices.pdf
And yes, a cartel is a subsidy by other means. It is not free market.
I think you will end up living in the US 🙂
CANADA BECAME SOO EXPENSIVE THAT PEOPLE ARE LEAVING THE COUNTRY.
