Watching them all now and absolutely adore you, your advice, your spunk, humor, incredible looks and personality! Keep spreading your love all over the world, we need more of that and you! 🥰❤️

Thank you for the kind words to the bi person. We deal with so much misunderstanding. As a bi girl in a hetero relationship for the first time in a decade, I feel you.

For the parent with the label-less kid. I think the most important thing is to maintain open communication where they can come talk to you about their identity without judgement or over reaction. If they want to talk about how they feel as they navigate their identity, want to try a label to see if it fits, or express frustrations about what they are going through, be there, be kind, and be calmly supportive. They will know you can be a sounding board for them as they navigate their journey, and that you will accept them as they are regardless of what they do or don't identify as. A great strategy I learned in advocacy is to match their level of emotion, whether that be excitement, anger, or being calm. That helps you feel both safe and validating.
Ally here! This episode reminds me so much of one of my favorite classes I ever took in college. I had the privilege of being educated by a queer professor on the representation of the queer community in healthcare, the history of healthcare and policies for the queer community, and so much more. I just graduated but I always looked forward to that class and it really cemented my desire to pursue a public health degree. This takes me back. 💕 I can't wait for part 2!

@@stonwall9065 it doesn't mention effeminate men and all that. It does mention however: thieves, adulterers, the sexually immoral (sleeping with prostitutes), greedy people, idolators, drunks, and slanderers. So, keep that same energy.
Jonathan, you are literally one of my most favorite people everrr! I love you and everything you do for others and your fellow queer community. I wish more people were like you. So kind, caring, aware, funny etc. You're the total package. 🥰
Re allies speaking up/shutting up: I'm agender and bi, and have been asked this question about when to speak up or pass the mic. I think of it as input/output. When getting input, shut up and listen. Actually listen to understand how policies, personal bigotry, socialization into a cisgender heteronormative society affects us. When it comes to output, i dont think queer people should always be expected to do the work when we're already hurting (unless you want to). But that's when allies use their privilege to speak up, to do the work of calling out transphobic family members, interrupting harm done to your co-workers, etc.
I had never heard the term interdependent vs codependent, I loved JVN talking about 2 complete people make a chain that’s so beautiful! Such a good video I learned a lot!

I’m a bi female who’s been with my straight bf for three years. I’m not insecure about other girls, we talk about girls we think are hot together and it’s awesome. He’s not insecure that I find someone else attractive, i don’t have to hide my bi thoughts from him. It just makes our relationship even stronger because we are honest and we have fun with it. My ex was the opposite. Totally insecure and thought if I so much as look at a girl with the “daaaamn she fine” eyes it was the same as if I cheated. Really was a huge buzzkill.
Hi everyone ! I need info , as a French person I don’t understand what is the difference between being queer and being gay . The definition I am finding sounds the same . Maybe it is a langage barrière thing and it doesn’t translate properly . Not that it is anyone obligation to educate me but I would very much appreciate the help here !
My understanding is that the label queer is more comfortable for some people because they feel that it isn't as restrictive/allows for more nuance and freedom and expression. Though it's good to keep in mind that it's also a generational thing; younger people generally reclaim that label but maybe other people still have some pain attached to it because some ignorant people do still use it as a slur. So it depends on context and who you're talking about. Gay usually means mlm/wlw but it may also be a more flexible term now like queer is. I know you said English isn't your first language so I hope this makes sense and is helpful! Thanks for listening and learning!
These were the most un-serious answers to really good, profound questions. I'm not sure if Jonathan's support staff really gets him. He's a heart-felt guy... but he craves nothing but drama.

You are so damn sweet and innocent; you are a breath of deliciously fresh air. I don’t mean innocent as in inexperienced or nonsexual (obvs), but you just seem to be your ineffable self no matter the circumstances. You don’t put on a mask to please your audience. Your audience can just love you or go screw themselves, whichever they prefer. I wish I could have been more like you growing up. I mean, I did have great hair, but other than that…
Can you please please please do a “gay of thrones” version for the house of dragons?!?!? Like “house of drag” or something. The name doesn’t even matter I would 1000000000% watch it so many times as I still watch gay of thrones now!!! Please and thank you. You’re amazing. Hope you have a great day

You don´t need to love or like everybody, and maybe you can´t understand everything, but you can talk and ask if you want. We are all humans - and it´s everywhere possible to meet idiots. So what. This video is pretty helpful. When I had a crush and wasn´t sure if he likes girls, I flirted quite clearly - but charmingly and not too seriously - So i mostly got a clear reaction. I´m looking forward to next week. By the way,...Jonathan...you´ve got a big shiny thing on your left ring finger! 😮 Thought I would mention that, too. Awesome!!
Hello! I want to be a person who uses other people’s preferred pronouns correctly. I understand he/him, she/her, they/them, but I feel less confident knowing which pronoun to use when someone’s preferred pronouns include a mixture such as she/they. Can you clarify how to use pronouns respectfully in this situation? Sorry not juicy, but would love some guidance! ❤️
I’d say just ask the person. I know some people use different ones depending on the day, while others prefer to have you kind of switch between both, then just practice :) I would practice using both though first. Usually the first pronoun they list is the one they like used the most but it is important to get all of em in
Ask the individual. Don't be shy about it. They will be glad you show a genuine interest in getting it right. I could say that, in general, the pronoun mentioned or listed FIRST is usually the preferred pronoun-- but that might not always be correct. They might really want people to switch it up and not stick with one or another pronoun all the time. It comes down to the individual, so just ask them.
Get in your seats class! It's time to be educated on all things queer! Have more questions? Leave them in the comments below!
