Also, the Dexcom G7 can be added to an Apple Watch and you can see your numbers right on your watch. It also has alarms to warn of dangerous highs and lows.

Really good explanation. Amazing how many doctors don’t tell diabetics anything about the needle or filament. I’m a physical therapist who got gestational diabetes and a cgm is so convenient. Thanks for your review.
I appreciate the insights you've shared about Veri, Levels, Nutrisense, and Ultrahuman. I've had the opportunity to utilize all of them, as well as Ambrosia's Champions, which I find to be the most advanced and user-friendly. Unlike Nutrisense, Veri, and Ultrahuman, with Champions there's no need to scan the sensor.
I’m worried about the t1d diabetics who are in the comments. It’s expensive enough to be alive with T1D, without paying an extra +$200 for a repackaged cgm. Please talk to your endocrinologist!! Also, the libre 14 day isn’t a cgm, it’s a flash glucose monitor. From an insurance standpoint it can be a huge difference. Fun fact, You can make the 14 day libre into a cgm that uses Bluetooth to automatically connects to your phone with products like miaomiao and blucon. It’s not worth it if you’re only scanning once a day, but it essential if you need real time bgl data and can only afford a 14 day libre
I’ve been dealing with blood sugar stuff for a while, but unswt has made it so much easier to figure out what works for me. The AI sugar tracker shows me exactly how different foods affect my levels, and it’s been a game changer. If you’re looking for something easy and helpful, definitely give it a go!
1. Way cheaper to get a prescription through your doctor for a CGM. 2. FreeStyle Libre is known for being 25, 50 or even more points off than your actual blood sugar level. It happens to me all the friggin time. 3. Cheapest and most accurate way to do this is buying a blood sugar testing kit at any store which requires no prescription.
It depends on what you eat. I realize I had a huge reaction to tomatoes. I thought it was a mistake so I eat a small piece of tomato and bag huge spike. This told me my body does not like tomatoes
With the Nutrisense Freestyle Libre 2 which uses NFC my Android phone will vibrate twice upon contact. The first vibration is short followed by a second long vibration. Turns out reading occurs on the 2nd long vibration. If removed after the first vibration the reading/scan will always fail as there isn't a second vibration. The custom fabric patch that covers the cgm is very helpful to reduce snags especially if it's on your arm.

I think down the road I’ll invest in one, once the newness wears off and I’m in a better financial position because I am curious. I’d like to see it evolve a bit more before then.
Insane pricing. As a pre diabetic, I can’t get any doctor to give me a prescription. My insurance won’t cover it unless I have type 1, type 2 or insulin dependent.
Did I understand this correctly? You have to pay for a subscription, which is more than $100 USD a month to use their app? There is no way of using the cgm without their subscription?
i use libre with blucon nightrider as cgm to get my readings and also my activity levels through graph and see how my glucose changes while doing exercise work and eating food meals
I went with a Veri because I have my own sensors but they didn't accepted your discount code when subscribing to app only. I wrote in the app that I got it recommended by you (don't know if that helps in any way).
I actually think these sensors are better for this type of data tracking compared to use for diabetics. The main issue is the accuracy. Up until the newest version of these sensors the accuracy wasn’t good enough to be actionable on. You still had to verify your blood glucose the traditional way before the newest sensors have gotten accuracy down to +/- 9%.
Ph of stomach in processing foods a factor in blood sugar readings? I’m sure other things besides sugar are being read. It’s reading some type of electrical resistance/activity?
Question: what do Veri and Nutrisense use to determine what they call a “spike”? I just quit Levels because calling a 90 to 120 mg/dL increase with eating is absolutely not a “spike” and they really are skewed toward a keto diet. Are the other ones more forgiving and realistic with their metrics?
Hello! Question, I seee you wear your Oura ring on your ring finger. I know Oura recommends wearing it on your index finger for accuracy and better tracking. Just wondering if you have encountered any issues with tracking? Just ordered a ring, and waiting on the sizing kit and trying to decide whethrr to trade the Oura out for my normal wedding ring...
Very interesting comparison! I know your work out a lot. How has it improved your performance, in more detail? You bring up a very, very important point and that is the apps and tools are geared toward diabetics and as such the reporting isn't granular enough to really support detailed goals. I notice a lot of athletes use these type of sensors. I assume their goal is to ensure the body stays at optimum despite very tough training, and targeting a certain bodily state. I assume their coaches and nutritionists use these sensors to find the optimum levels, but also to recommend changes based on the data gathered for the individual athlete, and their particular goals. Paying a base fee of $200-350 a month and then additional $175 a month for a nutrition coach is waaay to steep. What is needed is a more AI approach, where you track, set goals, and then the AI will give you recommendations based on the goals you have set. I guess that's a few years out. At 13:59 yes, that was my very first thought, I want to use the watch to enter stuff quickly. As is, I've spent a lot of time honing my diet, and my meals, in particular meal size, and macro division, based on GL charts, protein content etc, and so I know pretty well how my body reacts. I had breakfast with a diabetic friend and got to try their device for measuring my blood sugar and my levels were perfect even after breakfast. So all in all, the body takes care of the glucose levels, and unless there are recipes and guidance for accomplishing specific goals, beyond just stable glucose levels, it's not worth the money.
i wasn't aware that they were actually using dexcom monitors- that's new. i don't think it's very ethical for the companies to have telehalth doctors 'handle the prescription for you' when dexcom is specifically meant to be prescribed to diabetics.
Just doing some quick searching, it looks like kits like this require a prescription. Doesn’t seem attainable for the average person. Too bad because I really wanted to track my glucose levels to get my lifestyle dialed in and have sustained energy all day. No more crashes, no more food comas. Looks like the non kits where you take a reading is the only way to go.
Nice! QUESTION: do any of these integrate with any of the popular food logging apps? A lot of us already log meals and would be so nice to have them integrate.
Dexcom G7 works with your smart phone and automatically sends the data every 5 minutes so almost real time. If you’re going to use one, definitely research normal body reactions to foods on your glucose levels so you can know what’s normal and what is worrisome. Otherwise it’s really easy to make yourself anxious with it. :)
Do any of them allow anyone to access their own data using an API? As imagine, I want to synchronize the glucose data with the Oura Ring data, is this possible? Oura Ring allows us to access our own data through an API. I would like to sync the glucose data with the Oura Ring data to see how my eating habits influence glucose levels and how glucose levels influence my HR, RR during the day and my sleep at night.
Anywho, Found a place online that sold Is lifestyle libre 2 without a prescription. that version works with your android phone. Running it for 4 days now. FYI compared to my blood meter it's about 24 to 34 Higher but you can sit like alerts in the app and stuff so it's pretty cool.
looks like these are all subscription based? You can't just try it out once and then decide? Not going to spend something like $300/month just to try it out.
I know Nutrisense is the only who has it and it's $399 a month. Which to me is crazy, but that is how they get you to a commitment amount as it's less money.
Interstitial glucose lags the blood glucose by about 15 minutes but reads closely the same given the 15 minute delay. Also remember that blood glucose meters are not 100% accurate as the CGM's are not 100% accurate.
Thanks for the info, but why that 15 minute lag in interstitial glucose? I thought it was fairly quick to keep the hungry cells happy. 15 minute sounds like cells may go into ischemia. There has to be some sort of equilibrium where there is steady supply of glucose, etc to cells. @@dwightl5863

Glad it was helpful! thank you for commenting - what do you want to see next with CGMs?
Did I understand this correctly? You have to pay for a subscription, which is more than $100 USD a month to use their app? There is no way of using the cgm without their subscription?
For FreeStyle Libre, you can buy a separate reader device from them that is one-time payment and you can use it forever. The device costs about US$70.
Well done video, thank you.
Thank you!
Brother you inspired me to buy an ultrahuman ring / Whoop / Apple watch ultra 2
I am testing them all for my lifestyle
i use libre with blucon nightrider as cgm to get my readings and also my activity levels through graph and see how my glucose changes while doing exercise work and eating food meals
How is it working for you? How long have you been using it?
I went with a Veri because I have my own sensors but they didn't accepted your discount code when subscribing to app only. I wrote in the app that I got it recommended by you (don't know if that helps in any way).
Any plans to evaluate Zoe?
This video is almost 3 years old. Have you compared them recently? 2024? And are they available in Canada now?
I actually think these sensors are better for this type of data tracking compared to use for diabetics. The main issue is the accuracy. Up until the newest version of these sensors the accuracy wasn’t good enough to be actionable on. You still had to verify your blood glucose the traditional way before the newest sensors have gotten accuracy down to +/- 9%.
you should try free libre 2 or 3 is way better than all of these in terms of accuracy and readings history
👆🏻
Love my libre the data is brilliant
agreed! but 3 is much better for auto update every 10 minutes. 2 requires the phone to scan to update the blood sugar.
@@bigabe23with the new app updates the 2 gets the same features as the 3 and you don't need to scan it.
How can I get this without a prescription, at the lowest cost to me?
Ph of stomach in processing foods a factor in blood sugar readings? I’m sure other things besides sugar are being read. It’s reading some type of electrical resistance/activity?
Does Levels work with Dexcom 7? Thanks!
Went through all the ones you mentioned, none available in Canada. Any ideas for Canadians?
Thanks for doing this.
Thanks for vid, so none of them import from my fitness pal…..and I think you said all three apps will work with the sensor, did I hear that right?
GREAT REVIEW. THANKS.
Thank you for commenting!! What should I include in the next video??
I also heard that Veri will not transfer your data if you change phones..
Your video was perfect, great info!!
Tried to use the Level link but not seeing any discount. Is link working or is there no discount?
They aren’t offering a discount right now! But that link does help support the channel!
@@ShervinShares cool, if I decide to purchase I will definitely utilize the link.
Helpful brother
Thank you!! What info can I put in future videos?
Will these work with Garmin instead of Apple?
I don't think you reviewed the Ultrahuman one? Or have I missed it somewhere?
Couldn't watch this all.. all this talking about programs.. when the main question is: IS THIS ACCURATE!!!
So…..there’s LEVELS to this, huh?
🥁 💥 🤣
i wasn't aware that they were actually using dexcom monitors- that's new. i don't think it's very ethical for the companies to have telehalth doctors 'handle the prescription for you' when dexcom is specifically meant to be prescribed to diabetics.
All the apps need to subscribe?
Thank you for this! Well done, too.
Love your videos
Levels isn’t available in Canada
Just doing some quick searching, it looks like kits like this require a prescription. Doesn’t seem attainable for the average person. Too bad because I really wanted to track my glucose levels to get my lifestyle dialed in and have sustained energy all day. No more crashes, no more food comas.
Looks like the non kits where you take a reading is the only way to go.
All of these brands handle the prescription for you!
is there something that connects to cronometer? I already use it to control what I eat.
Nice! QUESTION: do any of these integrate with any of the popular food logging apps? A lot of us already log meals and would be so nice to have them integrate.
This is an excellent question. What apps are you referring to?
Hey I don't have the scan button on veri app. I have to do thru the librelink app the updates on the veri app. I'm using android by the way
Deciding between a dexcom and freestyle… which one would you suggest? Do you have to scan a dexcom?
Do not have to scan the Dexcom.
I loved watching you!!!! you cracked me up! brilliant!!
All I want to do is test each food I eat.
I know the Nutrisense connects with Oura ring, they talk about it on their website.
Shervin what is your ethnicity?
Sherwin name is Persian. Are you Parsi?❤
Ketones?
Haven’t tested with a CGM
Not on any cgm as far as I am aware
Ridiculous that you need a doctor's prescription to monitor your blood glucose
yea....
Another way for healthcare industry to get your money.
Anywho, Found a place online that sold Is lifestyle libre 2 without a prescription. that version works with your android phone. Running it for 4 days now. FYI compared to my blood meter it's about 24 to 34 Higher but you can sit like alerts in the app and stuff so it's pretty cool.
It's as if the medical system wants you to BE diabetic and not PREVENT diabetes.
@@6789uiop They also don't want you to know that you can reverse diabetes. They want you to stay sick and just "manage" it...until it kills you.
I wasn't aware that I have to pay a subscription that equals half of some countries monthly wages for a monitoring software. WHAT THE HELL!?
looks like these are all subscription based? You can't just try it out once and then decide? Not going to spend something like $300/month just to try it out.
I know Nutrisense is the only who has it and it's $399 a month. Which to me is crazy, but that is how they get you to a commitment amount as it's less money.
Interstitial glucose is higher compared to intravascular?
Interstitial glucose lags the blood glucose by about 15 minutes but reads closely the same given the 15 minute delay. Also remember that blood glucose meters are not 100% accurate as the CGM's are not 100% accurate.
Thanks for the info, but why that 15 minute lag in interstitial glucose? I thought it was fairly quick to keep the hungry cells happy. 15 minute sounds like cells may go into ischemia. There has to be some sort of equilibrium where there is steady supply of glucose, etc to cells. @@dwightl5863
Cheaper to just order one from Agelessrx, thats what I did, the two week experiment was definitely worthwhile.
Looks like this is probably the cheapest option out here. Thanks for sharing.
Do you know which CGM they use? Or the cost of treatment after the 2 week trial?
@@nancyristow5412 Freestyle Libre, there's no two week trial, you just order another one if you want.
dude, where's the Ultrahuman app review?
Can u just keep buying the freestyle libre sensors after the 1st subscription or the app wont work?
I can't understand why anyone wants to pay a subscription to third party app when all the data and analysis is available for free in the libre 2 and 3 apps when you buy sensor
@@veryannoyingname can u buy the sensor by itself? Without script?
