I can imagine a focusrite console or a trident 88 console on a live concert event or even a studer consoles that would be dope!

I saw them in Pittsburg and the sound was fantastic~! I have a RND lunchbox with 2 511 + 2 551 which I can say I enjoy very, very much! Fantastic products.

If you have to ask, you haven’t heard real! Neve is the best without question or compromise. It is what was said. Not shameless promotion, just as real as real can get! Go Neve! Stay safe mates!😊💖😷

Amazing concept. I'm thinking about this for years. How the plugins are integrated? Thanks

The insert will be patched into the i/o of the Apollo’s and plugins ran in UAD console. I work in the live world and have seen a fair few touring engineers adopting this method

Hey Rupert neve, which rack version studio has the same transformers as this console?

    • @RupertNeveDesigns
      @RupertNeveDesigns  2 года назад +7

All of our summing mixers (Orbit, Satellite, Centerpiece) are direct descendants of the 5088! But our transformers are purpose-built for the circuits they live in, so they won't necessarily be the same from one unit to the next - but we work very hard to make sure the final SOUND is as consistent as possible. That means the Orbit may not use the same exact transformers as the 5088, but sonically it gets very close.

      @@RupertNeveDesigns perfect!
The orbit is what I’m looking into for all 16 tracks analog glue!
      Last question..
but what does the “enhancer” rack do?
      I think it’s called the
      “5045 primary source enhancer “
Is this something specific about this needed?
Like what’s it’s usage for in the recording or mic process’?
Just curious as far as something to add with the orbit I’m getting into my hybrid setup
      Thank you 🙏🏿

@@phineesrobert417 the 5045 Primary Source Enhancers (and 545 for 500-Series) are for live / commercial / broadcast use. They provide up to 20dB more gain before feedback on a microphone signal. Super useful for live vocals, podium mics in halls, churches or large rooms, or lav mics in stadiums. Not really a recording studio thing, though I'm sure someone could find SOME use for it there if they really wanted... ;)

@@RupertNeveDesigns I’ve got a live recording studio which is also a venue style (NPR setup)
I might consider it down the line
Thank you so much for answering so graciously!
