Zach ,know one can ever match you with YOUR GIFT OF GAB in your videos. Im 65 ,in great shape because of my demanding occupation of ARBORIST work and having faced huge life changes I decided to buy a 2019 KTM 500 EXC F . Watching 👀 your videos at every chance has inspired my desire to buy a KTM 250 xc w and I bought all the serious protective gear for the 500 , but it has to much power and weighs ? 300 # with all the aftermarket . The issue of finding a new bike plus my son rides the CR 250 L SO HE MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE TERRAIN. YOU KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUY!
New to your channel... I do love watching these free flowing trails, you make it look so easy. But a big thumbs up for being so polite to slower riders, very rare from faster riders here in the UK.
I’ve been waiting for a new vid so long!!! YOU ARE THE BEST ZACH AND ALSO FROM 2017 after you went to Durhamtown. HOLY NUTSACK!!! XD your awesome dude!
I love the open handgaurds I just got me a set like that after running the wrap arounds all my life, not only to they give you more clearance but if you actually tag a tree that rebound they have makes it way easier to bounce back quickly, the wrap around guards will change your direction if u clip a tree
Bro your skills has come a long way since your earlier footages good stuff man wel done. Given you shout outs all the way from NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿 keep it up👏👏 love your videos kia kaha e hoa
I tried the EBC X series pads for my 300RR this year. A little less grabby so it doesn't just lock up the rear and takes a bit to get used to them. Wouldn't use them for the front though. Great vid ... keep'm coming!
Really love all your videos. Bought a 2021 beta rr 250 and love it!! Still have nkt fully broken her in so still have yet to open her up but dying to lol.
I'm watching this to get psyched up for a poker run event in the woods tomorrow, will be a speed on my trials bike for all the go-fast guys. But at least i'll be able to do the logs and rocks easily!
Hey Zach, great videos. I've been watching for about a year. Just got a new 150xc w, may be my last new bike, turning 58 in a couple weeks. great bike for the tight & somewhat techy riding here in Hawaii. It's been a couple weeks, how about some new videos? i remember you saying you have lots of footage. We used to have Hare & Hounds & Poker runs here on Maui. They run a pretty hard enduro race on Kauai on labor Day weekend for over 60 yrs. now. Over 100 entries & maybe 15 -20 finishers.
Come to the PNW and race. We don’t really have any enduros tho... well a few. But if you came and raced maybe we’d get a few more. My kids would love to come cheer you on
Barkbusters add a little bit of width but they also don't forgive when you tap a tree. Hit hard enough and they cause the bars to flick and down you go - or maybe into the next 3, 4 trees. But, at least you don't break you fingers or levers. Catch-22.
just started following you on RUclips and here. Question is I am a Older rider"47"living in texas. I am wanting to get into enduro /hare scrambles in the texas/ Louisiana area. I am about to buy a 2017 yz250f stock bike. I am getting a good deal on the bike. Very low hours. My thought is to buy all the add-on's pegs, barkbusters, exhaust, and numerous protective items. Is this smart or should I just buy a newer bike. my thoughts is that I would get a lot more bang for the buck , picking my own stuff. Then buy one of the computers and setup the bike for trail instead of MX riding.thank you in andvance
You are fast. I am also interested in what class you run, age, how to find the best places to practice, your bike, etc. It has been since 2004 since I raced and I hit a tree on my last race that ended the racing. Getting interested in trails again though. I live in Columbus, Ohio so any help from anyone would be wonderful.
My little experience with closed off bark busters.. for me it was just a bigger chance of eating shit. Open are flexible, yes if you hit hard enough it hurts the fingers but it’s not catching and bucking you off every time
I ride mostly open desert and have only done tight woods riding once or twice and when I did I had full wrap around aluminum handguards and im glad I did because I full on smacked a tree and bounced off to the other side of the trail and hit another, if I didn't have them I would have probably broke my hand or at least a few fingers. That was on my dads hand-me-down 2003 450 that he raced the old timekeeper enduros on and put the handguards to not break levers on rocks. Now I have a 2019 350 exc and it has open handguards and so far I've only bent one lever but it was only the very end of the brake lever and it put a little hook on the end wich I found to be quite ergonomic. I haven't crashed too hard on the bike yet and I've gotten good and stepping off the bike or stopping in sticky situations where in the past I would have given it more throttle and the bike would have ended up upside down ten feet away. If I crash hard it will be in an open whoop section or chatter bumps, because the exc suspension shines in the tech stuff but high speed it starts to get unstable in chatter bumps at around 50, and it has limited success in massive desert whoops. I can do pretty good in the whoops now that I'm used to the setup and im catching people in the high speed chatter bumps but last race I was having some pretty good head shake, and its wierd how it is so fucking scary but absolutely exciting when you are racing at the limit and passing people nearly avoiding a nasty crash.
Do you have any tips for cutting the bars? I want to cut mine down some but I’m not sure how to it best. I’m thinking of getting a pipe cutter to do it
Just use a grinder with a cutting wheel on it, or sawzall with metal blade. Measeure and mark with a sharpie so its a nice cut. Clean up the cut with a file. Start with an 1/8" on either side as it will make a pretty notable difference.
I heard the trials event was in the vote lead when you went to bed and then 139,00 votes came in for the sprint enduro overnight 🤣
It was Russian collusion
Biden for Ret@rd 2020
Best damn post I've read in a while. Bravo!
Well played
there were several boxes of ballots that came in on a sprint enduro truck. mmmhmmm.
I’ll watch enduro and hare scramble every time!
Hi, I would love to see a hand guard vid lol and Mabye even move videos about your bike, bike part, etc :)
Zach please do a long term review on your beta with Tom and what y’all have done to them thank love 😍 the videos keep it up
This looked awesome. High speed and crazy turns. Nice break from hard enduro.
Still getting use to the new camera set up , I think I prefer the old shaky view but no complaints from me . Excellent racing Zach keep it up !

YOU KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUY!
Z, your riding riding, editing, and commentary are excellent. Thanks for sharing!
That third section in the flowy woods is like the single track mtb trails I ride all the time. Good video.
Also would love to see a video with Adam and yourself recapping the hard enduro season!
This is better than the Billy Goat races you do !
New to your channel... I do love watching these free flowing trails, you make it look so easy. But a big thumbs up for being so polite to slower riders, very rare from faster riders here in the UK.

Good job overcoming the brakes! You were dialed in on this scramble!
Trials is cool to watch !
That Beta is giving you some confidence, flowing good. 👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺 Love it.
Nice riding Zach, looking faster than ever on that Beta. The bike definitely seems to suit you well!
Have to say ' That was one of the best rides i have seen you do ' Well Done Zach.

Been here since you were a kid and your getting hella fast Zach keep it up
Best vid I’ve seen all day
Great vid! Keep them coming!
Great video as always well done always makes my day a little better
Wow Zach
That’s was crazy fast 💨
One mistake and it could have been pin ball time !!
Brilliant buddy 🔥🔥🤘
Bro your skills has come a long way since your earlier footages good stuff man wel done. Given you shout outs all the way from NEW ZEALAND 🇳🇿 keep it up👏👏 love your videos kia kaha e hoa
That was a feeling good about the situation leg whip for sure..been there myself ZACK..great video man

I need to come to this round next year !
Good job you were hauling it love these videos I really enjoy your channel
WOW, you guys were really ripping. Those sprints are a faster pace than the hard enduros, lol Congrads on the place.
That corse was tip top! Wicked riding as always!
Hey Zach love your videos I watch every single one, keep riding good
Favorite race vids of any you tuber
Really love all your videos. Bought a 2021 beta rr 250 and love it!! Still have nkt fully broken her in so still have yet to open her up but dying to lol.
Sintered brake pads squeak like crazy when your ripping and using the brakes hard. Just means your riding aggresive, those pads work great when hot. 🤙
Great video, really enjoy your stuff!!!
Wow! What a sweet looking course. Nice ride too!
Those are some pure sweet trails dude
If you can get ahold of one try a washougal 2 sticky. Amazing all around tire
That was awesome. great vids
Granted I've had a rip of the hippy lettuce and I'm currently enjoying a beer and a whisky but you frickin crack me up
Enjoying the videos man!
Hey zack! Try putting your watch around your bar and brake line. Made it easier for me to see and it doesn’t spin when your bar pad does
I like to ride but I love to ride vicariously through Zack.
Nice trails there Zach! Nothing like that down state in D34.
I'm watching this to get psyched up for a poker run event in the woods tomorrow, will be a speed on my trials bike for all the go-fast guys. But at least i'll be able to do the logs and rocks easily!
Ngl I’m not new at biking but the sound of the brakes might help me inprove👍🏼
I knew i was haullin when my knee brace started squiking.LOL
After my mate broke forearm when he went over bars with bark busters I use open guards 😁
I swear they grab harder when they start squeaking.
😁
Got a video, a darn good video for y'all tonight.
Some awesome looking single track 🤩

Please do a video on open vs wraparound handguards!
Yes, please do. Inquiring minds want to know!
this is by far the best video yet in my opinion would love to have rode the track. but overall I feel sorry for you since you live in New York.
On the podium!!
Come to the PNW and race. We don’t really have any enduros tho... well a few. But if you came and raced maybe we’d get a few more. My kids would love to come cheer you on
So, now that your RR300 is set up and you're used to it, do you think it's as good or better than KTM?
Man I wanna race someday
He has 100% got way better since I saw him a while back
The tire for sure, definitely the brakes, absolutely shorter bars ,you should’ve went to the trials event. Good job though.😀
Barkbusters add a little bit of width but they also don't forgive when you tap a tree. Hit hard enough and they cause the bars to flick and down you go - or maybe into the next 3, 4 trees. But, at least you don't break you fingers or levers. Catch-22.
Are you going to try out the new full tilt sprint enduro series first race is at broome tioga may 9th
It would be amazing if you could have a small read out of what gear you are in!!

I didn't realize how much back brake you faster guys use. Maybe that's why I'm so slow.
Like open hand guards too. But I have bruised my hands on several occasions :d
I've noticed that open hand guards slide off trees while wrap around make you bounce a whole lot more
yeah that makes sense. both are better than slamming your hand against the tree, that hurts

Get Adam on more. And a rear camera with anti shake in hard enduro would be cool for hill climbs and others crashing or chasing.
We don't have these kinds of races where I live. Which I would love to do. I would be in my element.
Love the vids
Hey how do you manage to get your gopro to last so long??? I can watch my battery level drop
"we cant let an enviromentalist see that" lol
great video. looks like a killer event
You should Do more trials videos
Do you have the hero 9 now? Does the battery seem to last longer
Zach! I’ll take you up on editing some of your footage!
Hey @zachatk1 are you doing sumpter NEPG this year. I’ve done it the past 3 years and it’s so much fun.
Its the KTM brake squeak!
Spray some SC1 on those rotors.. you won’t have to worry about brake squeak anymore 😉
I love the part at 2:08
Tired to get away from the fixation of the other ride on and the trail and ride your own race, it's difficult especially later stages of the race.
Can you do a video on what you wear during a race? TIA
My little experience with closed off bark busters.. for me it was just a bigger chance of eating shit. Open are flexible, yes if you hit hard enough it hurts the fingers but it’s not catching and bucking you off every time
What bike are you using in this video Zach
if i had places to ride like this id be the best in the world.....
@zackatk1 what front tug strap are you using on the Beta?
I ride mostly open desert and have only done tight woods riding once or twice and when I did I had full wrap around aluminum handguards and im glad I did because I full on smacked a tree and bounced off to the other side of the trail and hit another, if I didn't have them I would have probably broke my hand or at least a few fingers. Talk about hauling bologna sandwiches!
Sometimes, I also pass people then blow the corner right after.
Over night shipping 😂😂😂😂😂
no views but 11 likes makes sense.
To the people reading this (my dream is to become a good RUclipsr/ Hard Enduro rider ) Thank you.
Zack I what to see you try to do motocross by the way it’s fine if you post old video I broke my ankle riding and all I do is watch videos.
You should make some tug straps I would love to buy some
I just use Pro Brake Squeak for my rear disc
How can u wait, when ur min comes up?
hey zack what camera is that
Can you do bike maintenance video and cleaning ur bike video?
Do you have any tips for cutting the bars? I want to cut mine down some but I’m not sure how to it best. I’m thinking of getting a pipe cutter to do it

You could also just use a hacksaw.
