That was just amazing. Loved the kayak, the storyline, the editing. The whole time I was thinking “this video needs millions of views” its just too good!
ayooooo BIG LOVE my dude! gonna push the vids beyond the builds. MEGA inspired by what you're doing these days! wrapping up on my next build now and hope to get it out in the next few weeks!
Very nice! That brought back memories of building my stitch-n-glue Pygmy Arctic Tern-17 fifteen yrs ago (minus a skateboard deck). I still paddle it to this day, along with a 16 foot folding Oru kayak. Unfortunately Pygmy boats shut down during covid and never came back. I'd look toward Chesapeake Light craft if I were building another one.
Your videos are so in line with all of my interests it’s insane. You got tons of tenacity and drive that genuinely inspires me to want to do something better with my life. You rock man.
Skatboardatize! And skateboardatization even 😂 Dude, one it’s a beautiful work of art and two, it was not lost on me that you got from the kayak to then concrete pillar 😯 I’m sure I would have fallen in the drink. Amazing video 🎉
I scrolled through all my YT-subscriptions yesterday, your channel popped up and that made me wonder what you were up to! And waddaknow, the next day there's a new video! That's some heavy foreshadowing in the intro😦😧😨 . Gonna watch the rest now, cheers, Andrew! Edit: As a parent I'm thinking: Do not go skateboarding there! But man: that was awesome! Love the kayak!
hahahaha omg you're telling me. technically i'm not breaking any laws haha. i've got another 2 videos before the year goes out! finally getting back on it! opening a store really took up a ton of time.
@@GibClark oooh shit! sorry to hear that gib! i missed it this year, so didn't know. hope you recover well pal! if there's anything i could ever help with, feel free to reach out anytime brother.
Dude that is f***ng insane. A mean for start u built a kayak then added skateboards then that at the end thats sweet!! U are awesome brother. Just dont wait as long for next video we miss ya! 👍🏴
@@AndrewSzeto great man! Its been rough for a while but things are looking up! Lots of great things coming up! Working on some new videos and preparing to pour a lot of concrete this spring!
@@AndrewSzeto haha hopefully yes! I’m gonna build something else this year thats for sure haha. At first my goal was to have a full run in the woods with obstacles and jump the barn at the end. But i ended up spending so much time just working on the one setup that i skipped everything else. It was so much fun, will definitely built another crazy setup this winter
@@AndrewSzeto Amazing work though! I feel like I need to come up with a bigger project. My motivation for making has been low 😭 Actually that's not true, filming and editing them has been low
Too bad about focussing on making a vdeo instead of the task at hand. Not that I've ever done anything like that, right? Yeah, sure... Getting back to the process you were following in making the deck, what was your reason for not glassing the top of the deck before flipping it over to sand it, Andrew? That way you would have been assured of retaining the original shape. You and your skateboard projects😆
ahh cheers marty! appreciate the feedback. so i was conversing with Otto Valinga, who had designed the boat and he had recommended glassing the bottom first. admittedly, it didn't fit back on top super well, but the reasoning is so that you can glass over the edge as well. it makes a decent amount of sense and i'm glad i did it, as it adds to the overall structural integrity. anyhow, only ever made a cedar strip canoe on a mold, and that process was much different. stoked guys like you point these things out. helps me think more critically :)
could do without the part where you skateboard where you shouldn't for your pleasure or tube-likes; irresponsible and stupid risking life and limbs while degrading a public structure.
That was just amazing. Loved the kayak, the storyline, the editing. The whole time I was thinking “this video needs millions of views” its just too good!

That's so cool! You're brave to skate there, the last thing I'd want is to take a dip in that canal.
