I thought you were in Spain when I saw that blue sky - until I heard the Arctic wind blast! 🥶 The Aprilia's holding up really well especially considering the harsh conditions. My Gilera is over 12 years old now and is still looking good so you should get a few more seasons out of yours yet! Before each winter I take a small paint brush and apply ACF50 to the bottom yoke and also to the tops of the fork tubes where they enter the yoke and this has prevented any corrosion. Brake pipe banjos and bleed nipples also benefit from this treatment. I don't know if there's one available for the Aprilia, but I fitted a stainless Leo Vince exhaust and it makes winter cleaning so much easier. Roll on summer! 🏴
😄😄 Spain…I wish. Thanks for the ACF50 tip, I have some of that and sprayed it over the engine area when I last had the seat bucket out, but using a paintbrush to do smaller areas is a great idea I will certainly pinch. I think there is an aftermarket Leo Vince exhaust but a few who have installed it don’t like the amount of noise it makes. I’m not a fan of loud exhausts myself so I think I’ll stick to the stock one for now, it seems to be holding up really well. Thanks again 👍
Nice one Scottish Zoomer...I still haven't got a scooter yet, lol...Though hoping maybe by August...Enjoy the warmer days mate 🙂
