I started watching your videos over a year ago when I was considering getting one of these. I actually ended up getting a car instead, then realised I missed 2 wheels so bought a Speedfight2. Failed my car test 3 times and traded the car and scooter in for an 05 Varadero XL125. I'm gonna be keeping this one for a while because my credit score has gone to tits keep swapping and re financing all these vehicles lol. Glad to see you and the SR GT are still doing well!
If I had to switch to a geared bike I’d pick the Varadero, looks great for a 125. I passed my car test back in the days when you did 30 minutes round the block and that was about it. Always hated driving, was determined to pass the test, and once I did it that was that 😄
@@scottishzoomer Yeah it is really nice. My first ride on it (8 mile commute) was a bit of a culture shock because it weighs a tonne and I'd never done gears on a bike before, but once you get used to it you can filter just like on a scooter and the power is way more - I'm 20+stone and still blow away my smaller friends on their 4 stroke scooters. Also you can take speedbumps and potholes at 50mph no problem. They are expensive though, my 19yo Varadero (7k miles very good condition) was the same price as a brand new Aprilia SRGT or CBF125
I passed my car test after getting lessons for my 21st birthday back in the 1980’s. The test was a lot simpler in those days. Never enjoyed driving a car and once I’d passed the test hardly ever did it again 😄
I was only thinking about you up there yesterday! Hope all is well.
All good here thanks, just need some better weather
@@scottishzoomer I tend to be 'weather neutral'........

Good idea. Also I should buy some side bags for my SR GT 200 too for workhorse moments :D
never driven a car in my life and do all my shopping on a 125 scooter with a top box (all weathers) and wouldn't change it for the world

Aye...Nice sunny day the day 🙂
Hi, you said you previously owned an NMAX, which do you prefer, the Aprilia or the Yamaha? Cheers. Matt.
