    Hi Jarrod. Enjoy your adventures. I know the feeling, we probably have all made mistakes that cause us to lose fish. The more I fish, the more I learn. All the best. MP

    Hi Jarrod
    Thank you for sharing awesome video. Certainly very educational for a rookie fisherman like me. Googled Riley Bay and it seems to be wide area. Any chance you can share any landmark location so it's easy to find the spot? Thank you once again. Can't wait to see more of your fishing trips.

    Great video, really nice looking spot. What size hooks are you generally using for landbased snapper?

    • @jarrodday
      @jarrodday  Месяц назад

      Generally a snelled set of 5/0’s

      @@jarroddaythanks for the reply. Do you think rod length is as key for this style of fishing? I’m looking at a mixed use rod for beach/rock fishing. I think I’ve Landed at 12ft but balancing line and cast weight has been hard. either 6-12kg or 12-20kg. Any tips here would be welcomed.

      @jarrodday  Месяц назад

      @@Ssking1985 I;m using two main rods. one is 10ft 10-15kg and the other is a 12ft 6-10kg. The longer rods are good for casting distance but you also need medium tapered rod with good strength in the butt/mid section to aid in lifting the fish up the rocks.

    Wow, you were gutted. What about us watching you. But you would have taken a few snaps and thrown it back anyway. Would have been nice to see it. Looks like an awesome spot. Wish i knew where it was. But im getting a bit old to hike that far these days and a crook back would not help. Keep up the awesome videos.

      I was disappointed but you get that when you make simple mistakes….it is a fair hike….but it’s not that strenuous…..the rock clambering is the most difficult…Glad you enjoyed watching.

    What an awesome session mate. Shame about the fish you dropped. Looks like an amazing spot to fish from regardless of how long the walk is lol. Is that spot anywhere near somers by any chance?
    Well done 💪🏼
