Targeting Western Port Channel Whiting

This week Kelvin called and invited me out for a whiting session, but not just any whiting session. We were going in search of big thumping channel whiting. We hit up the deep in the top end of the Port for the last two hours of the run in tides. The wind was down, the tide was right and with a little berley in the pot, it was right into action. Though we only had a two hour window before the south westerly got up, the fishing was certainly hot.

Nice whiting...went out a couple weeks ago from Stony Point just out of the main channel and had a great session. Probably dropped more whiting then we got in the boat. Good sizes too. Paul from Beaconsfield
