Jack was my definite favorite for holding the field. I feel like it was super fitting for her character and Shepard’s influence to make her a better person.
"He led is own group, granted they all died, Ok I'll go with Garrus" Said Shepard to her whole group to inspire confidence in the operation. I mean it was a wise choice !
To be fair, Garrus's failures were more due to events outside of his control, rather than failure of leadership. Sidonis's betrayal was something he couldn't have anticipated, as Sidonis was kidnapped by the blue suns and then forced to betray Garrus.
Great job!!! So many people overthink things here and get people killed but you made the logical choices and played it perfectly, love to see it. Also really glad you brought Miranda at the end since that's a huge moment in her character arc and a lot of people don't see it. Excited for Overlord and Arrival now, both of those are fantastic. Then to what's easily my favorite game in the trilogy
Back before the game came out, the Launch trailer for me2 was so hype and filled with excitement. As ign, Xbox, and others gave it 9.5 to 10/10. As its one of a lifetime experience that you will never forget. ❤️
The launch trailer for ME2 launched in the U.S. at the 2 minute warning of the 2010 NFC Championship game, when it was tied 35-35. TONS of people saw it, and many people started asking a lot of questions (even my parents, they thought it was a movie trailer!).
It also has some great covers: SUICIDE MISSION - Epic Orchestral Cover (Mass Effect Legendary Edition) Suicide Mission - Mass Effect 2 OST | EPIC COVER Mass Effect 2 Theme 'Suicide Mission' - Epic Metal Rendition
The soundtrack for that final mission is *basically identical* to the 11th Doctor (Who) theme, which I believe came later. They thought we wouldn't notice, but we did.
1:01:57 - I'm kind of surprised that doesn't result in Grunt's death. The idea of Shepard, male or female, being able to hold a gigantic Krogan in a full suit of armor with a single arm is pure insanity, but I can also see how that would piss people off. Still, that shot is unintentionally hilarious.
Liteweight dont forget you still have at least one if not several DLC's to complete before you head into ME3!!!! And talk to your companions they all have plenty of more to say to you!! :D
Definitely ME2 really did a great job as fleshing out the new character’s while building a more bond with the characters from the first game. The best toughest thing when you have all these different squad members is trying to make them unique and bioware did a great job with that. All i can say is ME3 is gonna be a hell of a ride and bring your tissues. Lots and lots of tissues 🤣🤣
I'm definitely disappointed you didn't talk to the crew more since there were so many more things I wanted to see your reaction to, but I'm really glad you had fun with it as that's the most important thing :) Still really enjoyed the playthrough and I'm sure I'll enjoy ME 3 even more
And THAT's the way you do it! Congrats on keeping everyone alive! Yes, the "hanky-panky" scene would have happened just as you go through the Omega 4 relay. (They're not as explicit as the ME1 scenes.) Apart from Miranda resigning, no one else has a line at that final moment on the base. (I guess it would make sense if Jacob did, but I don't believe he does.) Always a good reason to take Miranda into that final battle! As for when and how your squad mates could have died, there are several videos on RUclips which show all the deaths, even a couple that show how you can lose literally everyone, including Shepard. You might want to do a reaction video to one of those. They're always fun!
No one will ever know whether Jacob says something during that final mission, because by that point in the game everyone has given up on Jacob being an interesting character and doesn't bother having him in the squad.
Great choices Lite!!I had goosebumps the whole video. Nice work sending Mordin back with the crew. He is the squishiest and can die on team HODOR. Also great job bringing Miranda on the last mission. You got the cool dialogue and if you had brought Grunt AND Garrus along Tali might have died. Overall you made so many right calls. Glad you shut out the noise and did it your way. Can't wait to see what's next.
He only dies in the final mission if you take the wrong people with you to fight the human reaper. It is literally a calculation. I never send him with the crew, I always use Tali for that. As long as you don't take 2 of your 3 heavy hitters on the final mission (Zaeed, Grunt, Garrus), everyone lives.
This was the first video game I ever played died so many times in the final mission and had to play through a few times to get all the crew to survive. You got everything in one play through, great job!
I really love the last mission because there's a chance at permadeath. If you choose someone inexperienced to do a certain job or don't get ship upgrades you can get squadmates killed off.
Crazy how well this game holds up 13 years later. Still the best game of its kind IMO, can't wait to see you play 3. I'm predicting plenty of tears, but I'm here for it!
No matter how many times I do the suicide mission, even though if I know people will survive, I still get scared and stressed. Such a great final mission.
Yay! Congratulations on finishing my personal favorite in the trilogy! Here’s a few of my thoughts: 1. Loyalty does NOT trump everything in the final mission. Even loyal squadmates can die if you choose the wrong people for the special roles. Loyalty does help your teammates survive the cutscene firefights, though. 2. Yes, the comments during the Normandy approach to the Collector base are related to whether or not you bought the ship upgrades during the game. If you fail to get them, some characters will die. 3. You had great instincts! You picked all the right people for the specialist roles and saved everyone. Good job! Looking forward to seeing you conclude the grand story. (There will be tears!)
Spoilers: In answer to your question on what happens if you don't get those three critical upgrades. * If you DIDN'T upgrade the Normandy's Armor, Jack will die. * If you DIDN'T upgrade the Shields, a Squad Mate will die, in the following order of priority: Kasumi >Legion > Tali > Thane > Garrus > Zaeed >Grunt * If you DIDN'T buy the Thanix Cannon upgrade, a Squad Mate will die, in the following order of priority: Thane > Garrus > Zaeed >Grunt >Jack >Samara .
Love how powerful that final scene is, showing the Repears on their way in massive numbers, to kill everybody. We were barely able to take down one of them.
I love the moment at the end of the game, right before the credits, when you see the Reaper fleet and you realize just what is coming your way. Always gets me. You did, unfortunately, miss out on quite a bit of conversations with the squadmates since you pretty much stopped talking to them after getting their loyalty. It's a shame because there's a lot of good stuff there, and especially one with Mordin which is just absolutely wonderful. Still, I very much enjoyed the playthrough and I'm looking forward to the DLC's and ME3!
Heyhey! Congrats for beating ME2 and getting everyone out of there as well 😊 You were speculating on how things could have gone with the Suicide Mission with the upgrades, loyalties, choices during different sections of the mission. If you'd like to know how all the different things matter, I wrote something up for someone else's playthrough and I'd be happy to share it here as well. I you don't want to know, then I'll just say thanks for sharing the playthrough and stop reading now please! If you would like to know, here's the breakdown: First off to set the stakes, you can lose absolutely everyone during this mission, including Shepard! - Every missing upgrade (shield, armor, guns) will get a squad member killed before you even crash on the Collector Base. - Choosing an unsuitable/disloyal Tech Specialist and/or Fire Team Specialist will get your Tech Specialist killed. - If you did one (or a few?) missions after your crew was abducted before going through the Omega 4 Relay, half the crew will be dead. - If you do even more missions, all of the crew will be dead. - If you choose an unsuitable/disloyal Biotic Specialist for the shield, one of your chosen squad for that part will die. - If the Distraction Fire Team Leader is unsuitable/disloyal, they will die. - If you decide to not send an escort with your crew, the crew will die. - If you send a disloyal squad member as escort, the crew survives, the squad member dies. - Any disloyal squad member you take to the final boss fight will die. Concerning the rearguard (cue Kirrahe's "Hold The Line!" 😁), the general idea is to leave your heavy hitters behind and take less tough squadmates with you, because they are tiered for sturdiness and are all tallied up for an average score. The amount of surviving squad members for the rearguard matter, alongside a sturdiness rating per squad member to make up the average score. Every squad member that is loyal has a higher score comparing to their disloyal counterpart. If the average score is above a certain threshold, like in your case, they all live. If the average score is below a certain threshold, a varying amount of squad members can die the lower the average score gets. First you'll lose disloyal squad members, then from least to most sturdy. Which squad member you have sent as an escort earlier would also matter here, because if you'd have sent a sturdy character like Zaeed as escort, he wouldn't be around to up the average score for the rearguard. Your chosen escort, Mordin, is far less sturdy and would have lowered that average score and thus he makes an excellent choice as escort. For lore reasons, I've also always chosen Mordin as escort to help the crew with any potential health complications so I loved your reasoning there as well haha Lastly, if you would have had one or zero surviving squad members after all of this, Shepard would also not survive. EDI and Joker would be the only survivors and Joker would get the debrief with TIM (The Illusive Man). You'll get the reaper fleet at the edge of the galaxy cutscene and the rolling credits, but won't be able to make a save to import to ME3. If you'd like to see all the choices and consequences for the Suicide Mission in a nifty flowchart, you can look at it here! i.imgur.com/nJPAc.jpeg Looking forward to seeing you experience the remaining ME2 DLC and ME3! 😄
The ship part was the important one. If you didn’t have the armor plating, kinetic barriers, and the upgraded gun. Some squadmates would’ve been killed regardless if they were loyal or not. 😊❤️
Someone else said when ME2 came out that shepherd had to survive as there was a third game. Thing to remember is that all 3 games are shepherds story. If shepherd dies in ME2 then that's where that shepherds story ends, no carrying the save through to ME3. It's entirely possible for every member of the ground team (including Shep) to die, there are vids on youtube showing a total squad wipe with all the cutscenes.
Well I just want to say that I really appreciate the way you broke down each squad member, their abilities and personalities, and chose really well, you knew who to put in all situations!! This was a really fun play through, I really enjoyed watching it.. I can’t wait to see you play ME 3
You were PERFECT!!! You actually kept every companion alive! You're gonna have such a great ME3 playthrough. 😭😭😭 We're glad you have helped you along the way, even when you made all your own choices, ending up being a great outcome. I thought you'd lose at least one or two followers at the end. But I'm glad you enjoyed the final mission. Glad you liked the loyalty missions and all the followers you gained over time. ME2's such a great game. We're sorry if we pressured you though, cause ultimately, this was your playthrough, you enjoyed it regardless of what we say. But you still have Overlord and Arrival to cover, you'll love those too. 🙂
Yaaay congratulations of finishing the game! And you did get the perfect score a.k.a. everyone survives, too! ^^ the suicide mission is one of my favourite game finales of all times, so epic!
I'm super excited but so scared to watch😂 The whole suicide mission is amazing but it's always a bit nerve-wracking watching people play it when EVERYONE can die. It's been a fantastic playthrough again regardless, and there's still more awesome stuff left
"Okay, for this final mission, I'm taking Miranda..." (experienced viewers: oh, yay, cool, we get to see the rare resignation moment!) "... and Grunt!" (experienced viewers: oh shit! [quickly doing mental arithmetic on who's left to hold the door])
Totally understandable! It can be unnerving looking at the comment section. You play at your own pace and comfortably too. Play how you want to play. You are the driver here. We are the passengers who I bet are enjoying this fun adventure. Congrats and onto the next one! 😁
So happy you’ve fallen in love with this game like most of us have! The Mass Effect trilogy is just amazing and can’t wait for number 3! Yeah, ME2 does a FANTASTIC job with crew mate development, and it’s story is just *chef’s kiss* haha.
Well done, Shepard-Commander. You won the battle and brought everyone home. Don't forget to grind some planet scanning for resources, to carry them over to the next game. You can either get no bonus, a small bonus, a medium bonus or a big bonus. As far as I know, 90K element zero and 250k for each other mineral should be enough, but nobody knows the exact minimum requirement and people tend to gather a bit more just in case.
Choosing Samara to get you through the swarm is good. Choosing Jack and her finally calling you "Commander" because of the trust you showed is priceless.
I am happy with this, I really like Mass Effect 2 Ike the Story and Character’s. Definitely a good Game, one you can continue playing ect. Excited to see more in the future Lite! 🤗
Wow, Teegan! For one of the (in my opinion) most stressful final acts of any video game ever, you absolutely crushed it! It's surprisingly difficult to keep everyone alive (especially first time, so kudos!), and - as you surmised - one wrong choice could have caused multiple deaths, even your own. Not only choosing incorrectly, there's also a surprisingly-complex algorithm of "point values" that each crew member adds to survival in any particular circumstance (brute soldier types give more points, etc) that *I* think Bioware actually went alittle too complex with designing. For example, sending Grunt back with the crew deprives the overall crew of his huge point value, which I believe kills off... Miranda? Really weird. And yes, Miranda being there at the end does give her the badass unique dialogue. Jacob also has some unique dialogue with TIM, but it's not quite as cool as Miranda's "consider this my resignation". Aside from them, I don't think anyone else gets anything unique. Again, well-played! I do hope that you decide to record at least the big plot points of Overlord and Arrival. The conclusion of Overlord is an emotional rollercoaster!
Loved watching your playthrough and was very interesting listening in on your thoughts on why you made the choices you did for the various final mission roles. A few were different than I have done on my playthroughs...and now I know a couple more that work without losing people.
What a grandiose playthrough! I always get goosebumps at the final mission, damn... Before you get to the next game: don't forget to do the Arrival DLC if you haven't already. It will have an impact on the next game! It would also be funny to see you react to THE WORST POSSIBLE ENDING. It's almost comical when EVERYONE dies.
Shepherd actually can die if you have less than 2 survivors (Joker can't pull him/her up to safety while also providing covering fire). If it happens, you can't import that save into ME3.
I don't know if you played "Arrival" DLC and other DLC's but i absolutely recommend you to play them., If you going to start Mass Effect 3, It's essential to play at least the Arrival. because Mass Efffect 3 starts right after that DLC.
I always have Legion crawl through the vents. Even though Kasumi and Tali will work, my reasoning is that, as a a synthetic, Legion can compute faster than any organic.
YES!! Everyone survived!! This could’ve gone VERY wrong if you picked the wrong people 😅 and that ending shot of the reapers is NOT just for show, I hope you’re ready 😈
I completely forgot how epic that prelude to the collector base was made and that theme music never fails to send shivers down my spine. Amazing playthrough, i can't wait for the third round! 🫡
Luckily the final mission has wiggle room by having several correct choices for each job. Like Legion and Kasumi would also be good at tech while Miranda would also be a good team leader and Samara would be good as the biotic. I use Tali because who else would I pick. I pick Garrus as my first team leader because he's my bro and sometimes Miranda but recently Jacob as second mostly because I like to have Miranda with me for the final fight (I like to make sure every teammate gets either a job to do or is part of my squad at least once). As for biotics I prefer Jack because I find it fitting that the hardened criminal with a wounded heart ends up becoming a protector in the final mission. Mordin I choose because like you I look to his medical expertise.
Loyalty is key. If any specialist you pick is not loyal (even if they're qualified), they'll fail and someone will die. Any companion you bring with you to the boss fight who isn't loyal will die. And how many and who survives or dies holding the line is a function of who is loyal, and a semi-complex equation nicknamed the Death Calculus. (Incidentally, despite what some may tell you, Mordin is not programmed to die nor is he even necessarily the first)
Teagan, you should now watch the worst ending to ME2 on RUclips and see how it plays out. Don't forget to do Overlord and Arrival. Especially Arrival as it is the bridge to ME3.
A fantastic end to a fantastic playthrough! Although I hope you'll get around to Overlord and Arrival sometime soon, this series has been such a treat to watch! ME2 is easily one of the best games ever imo and seeing you get as emotionally attached to this game as me was an absolute joy to witness. Also, once you're done with the game completely, watch a disaster playthrough, and you'll know how well you made your decisions for a first time playthrough.
Good job keeping evryone alive on your first Suicide mission. In my first run I lost 3 of them. Miranda because I took Jack's side during their argument and lost her loyalty. Thane because I failed to get to Kolyat in time during Thane' loyalty mission and the turian ended up being killed. And Tali because I never recruited Zaeed and brought both Garrus and Grunt to the final fight.
Some of the dialogue like Shepard saying people died for this mission plays that way, no matter if you had lost squad members up to that point or not. And yes, your choices on who does certain parts of the mission (like Tali in the vent) do affect if characters die. And Shepard can die if none of the squad members you took with you during the final fight with the human reaper survive. Which can happen if they aren't loyal. Now you just have to finish Arrival, and then on to ME3.
Everyone can die in this mission. Everyone. If they are not loyal, you don't upgrade the ship and you make wrong decisions during the mission, then everyone dies, one after the other. In fact, Shepard can die at the end too if there's nobody to help him get into the ship: Joker is not able to help him. There's an ending where Joker talks with the Illusive man about his sacrifice. It's freaking amazing, so sad. But you can't import that ending to mass effect 3.
Ngl, the "suicide mission" might be some of the most nail biting, stressful gameplay ever. I was so worried about my crew, made me second guess every decision
I'm glad you played this your own way. Were there things that I'd have liked to see you do? Ehh, maybe. But there's still the post-game stuff to do, so we don't know what you'll do or who you'll talk to in what way - that's the beauty of it! There's stuff I've seen in your playthrough that's different to mine, and its often exciting to see how things play out! There's no right or wrong way to be Shepard, theres only YOUR way. 🥰🙌✨
Good choices. Wouldnt risk Tali in the vent shaft, since u have Legion who can withstand temperatures/pressure/lack of oxygen, but apart from that : good logical decisions. Also side note about Jack. Shes the strongest HUMAN biotic, not biotic in general.
And yes Liteweight, if anyone wasnt loyal they would die at the end or when given a special assignment, if you had not upgraded the ship people would also have died, if you chose someone loyal but unfit for a special role, like if you had chosen Jack to be leader of the fire-team or had made Jacob go into the tube as the tech specialist they would have died as well, and Shepard can also die in the final mission though that would require that you didnt do any loyalty missions and did no upgrades at all. And yes if you had not brought Miranda then the Illusive man would not have given you that extra dialogue, ive never brought Jacob but from what i remember even he doesnt have any extra dialogue since he openly has always told the Illusive man that he never fully trusted him. Garrus however actually sees the idea of using the collector base technology as a tactical choice, since then those that died at the base would not have died in vain, however he will of course not oppose your choice of destroying the base if you choose to do so. And finally when you have completed the DLC's you havent done yet and begins your ME3 journey, prepare for the crying. ;) :P
I'm playing for first time as well and just like you I created a bunch of save files because it freaks me out doing something 'wrong' 😂 Edit: (Playing ME3 right now)
I'm so happy you ended up loving this game as much as you did, and I'm even more glad that you stopped reading the backseating comments and played how YOU wanted to. I really hope you employ the same strategy when you play 3, if that helps ya. Thanks for all the fun playthroughs, you're definitely a fav creator of mine. I've loved the new editing choices you've been adding lately, as well! Anyway, good shit, ty, see yall next thyme
if you're willing to redo the suicide mission off-camera, I recommend going back to a save before it and initiating the romance with Thane prior to jump thru the relay. "The Romance Scene™" only plays while you're flying through the Omega Relay so starting the romance now will result in the flags not fully going off and will be incomplete for the transition into ME3. Obviously, you can do whatever you want and see how continuing this way plays out but if you want to carry over the Thane romance into ME3 I recommend redoing the last mission having already started the Thane romance. but like I said you can do whatever, this is your playthrough lol also you excellently broke down the logic behind the "correct" squadmates to give the tasks to. The engineering task could only successfully be done by Tali, Legion, and Kasumi. everyone else would get cooked to death. The squad leaders could be Garrus, Miranda, and Jacob. everyone else would either die or get someone else killed. The biotic bubble could only successfully be formed by Samara and Jack. anyone else would form a bubble that's too weak and the seeker swarms would've pierced through at the last moment. and Mordin is the best person to escort the rescued crew because he has the lowest HP for surviving the Hold the Line part before fighting the final boss. The people you DON'T bring with you for the final phase that stay back all contribute points towards a successful hold. if the total points aren't high enough, the squadmates that are most "fragile" die even if they are loyal. Mordin, Tali, and Jack have the lowest HP so they die first. this is only an issue if at least 2 of the Big Boys aren't there to help tank: Garrus, Grunt, and Zaeed. if you would've taken Grunt AND Garrus or Grunt AND Zaeed or any other combination of those 3, the squadmates with the lowest HP would've died holding the line. Can't wait to see how ME3 treats you lol
Now that you have completed the Suicide Mission and destroyed the Collectors, you have some new Codex entries you should take a look at. One in particular gives you a bit of insight into the villain in the shadows of this game, Harbinger.
Nice work Lite! A great run of the final mission. I think you may be underestimating the Overlord and Arrival DLCs if you think you can wrap both those up on one more short video, however. 1000% worth playing both before moving on to ME3 though.
Everyone on your team bore a hidden character score that needed to be high enough to succeed in a given mission. More than one would have been suitable for a certain mission(Jack or Samara for the biotic field for example or Tali/Legion for the duct hack and so on). But, yes, choosing an unqualified person for a certain mission would have resulted in a death no matter their loyalty status. Fortunately, you chose wisely.
Everyone could have died in this mission. Even shepard. But you made all the right decisions.
Only Joker has plot armor
I never manage to save them all.. always someone just have to find a rock and fall over it ! xDD
The only person I ever seem to loose is Jacob.
@@Tjrissi96 Good no one important lost
Miranda's dialogue with the Illusive Man is unique I think, great job bringing her along.
57:14 Or build your own Death Star!!
Jack was my definite favorite for holding the field. I feel like it was super fitting for her character and Shepard’s influence to make her a better person.
That, and the obvious rage on her face when she hurls the field into the collectors
I prefer Samara. She's the most powerful biotic on the team and Jack prefers using her abilities to fight.
Please do not skip Overlord and Arrival. They're so good, intense and important.
I hope you still have time to read the comments.
I am so glad you brought Miranda on the final stretch of the mission so we could see you react to her telling the Illusive Man off.
I love the Miranda quitting Cerberus moment. She knows that it means she will spend the rest of her life on the run and yet she never hesitates.
I saw one playthrough where the person didn't even read the info about the companions when choosing the specialists, yikes!
The Collector General always makes me think of an abandoned puppy after a harbinger cuts the connection.

The soundtrack for that final mission is 2nd to none...so epic
Agreed. I was humming along all the way through.
It also has some great covers:
SUICIDE MISSION - Epic Orchestral Cover (Mass Effect Legendary Edition)
Suicide Mission - Mass Effect 2 OST | EPIC COVER
Mass Effect 2 Theme 'Suicide Mission' - Epic Metal Rendition

That's what I thought when I saw that part. It's my head canon that Shepard is just super strong, now.
I like to think that she is using her biotic field to lift him since that is one of her powers as a Vanguard. 🤣
Shepard is part machine since being rebuilt by Cerberus so she is probably stronger than any human
Cyborgs are stronk.
Yeah, isn’t Grunt like 500lbs or something?
35:46 Your "I'll pick Mordin I guess, whatever" saved his life, lol.
Liteweight dont forget you still have at least one if not several DLC's to complete before you head into ME3!!!! And talk to your companions they all have plenty of more to say to you!! :D
One of the finest hours (and endings) in gaming. And well done to survive.

One of the best games of all times🥰The third one is also a 10/10!
Congrats Lw on a perfect play!
2 was amazing in terms of improved gameplay, and 3 just has so many climactic moments.
Just binge watched your whole play through. What a fun journey all the way through. Thanks for uploading.
"That was so fucking stressful."
You actually made excellent time through that first part.
Yay! Congratulations on finishing my personal favorite in the trilogy! Here’s a few of my thoughts:
* If you DIDN'T upgrade the Shields, a Squad Mate will die, in the following order of priority:
Kasumi >Legion > Tali > Thane > Garrus > Zaeed >Grunt
* If you DIDN'T buy the Thanix Cannon upgrade, a Squad Mate will die, in the following order of priority:
Thane > Garrus > Zaeed >Grunt >Jack >Samara .
You made almost all the vital crew specialist choices that I did, for the same reasons. You rock!
Hell yeah, I loved your decision-making process throughout that! Fantastic
Heyhey! Congrats for beating ME2 and getting everyone out of there as well 😊
You were speculating on how things could have gone with the Suicide Mission with the upgrades, loyalties, choices during different sections of the mission. If you'd like to know how all the different things matter, I wrote something up for someone else's playthrough and I'd be happy to share it here as well. I you don't want to know, then I'll just say thanks for sharing the playthrough and stop reading now please!
If you would like to know, here's the breakdown:
First off to set the stakes, you can lose absolutely everyone during this mission, including Shepard!
For lore reasons, I've also always chosen Mordin as escort to help the crew with any potential health complications so I loved your reasoning there as well haha
Lastly, if you would have had one or zero surviving squad members after all of this, Shepard would also not survive. EDI and Joker would be the only survivors and Joker would get the debrief with TIM (The Illusive Man). You'll get the reaper fleet at the edge of the galaxy cutscene and the rolling credits, but won't be able to make a save to import to ME3.

Looking forward to seeing you experience the remaining ME2 DLC and ME3!
The game also says that.
Well I just want to say that I really appreciate the way you broke down each squad member, their abilities and personalities, and chose really well, you knew who to put in all situations!! This was a really fun play through, I really enjoyed watching it.. I can’t wait to see you play ME 3
"The next game is gonna be so stressful"
Understatement. 😆
"Okay, for this final mission, I'm taking Miranda..."
(experienced viewers: oh, yay, cool, we get to see the rare resignation moment!)
"... and Grunt!"
(experienced viewers: oh shit!
Congrats on the successful ending and keeping everyone alive! Had a great time watching the whole series!
So happy you’ve fallen in love with this game like most of us have! The Mass Effect trilogy is just amazing and can’t wait for number 3!
Yeah, ME2 does a FANTASTIC job with crew mate development, and it’s story is just *chef’s kiss* haha.
Another excellent playthrough completed! Because of all her previous successes, I start out with high expectations and LWG always exceeds it!
Well done! Looking forward to Overlord and Arrival!
As many problems I have with ME2 as a whole, the suicide mission is just too cool. It's easily the peak of the series.
Watching someone play the suicide mission for the first time gives me anxiety
Hahaha, yes! Everyone survived, I knew you could do it! Congratulations!
I remember getting half the team killed on my first playthrough.
Mordin and Tali died on my first time. I immediately loaded the save and tried again.
I know this is the end, but please tell me you did Overlord and The Arrival. They're Essential.
Shepherd actually can die if you have less than 2 survivors (Joker can't pull him/her up to safety while also providing covering fire). If it happens, you can't import that save into ME3.
Man ive seen a play through of ME3 with everyone dying in ME2 and its the most ANTICLIMATIC THING IVE EVER SEEN😭😭😭
Suicide Mission's music always gets me pumped up!!!
Here we go!! You got this girl!!
(Incidentally, despite what some may tell you, Mordin is not programmed to die nor is he even necessarily the first)
14:00 Freaking love that theme.
17:27
"I Feel Like That's Garrus"
That can just as easily be Samara also, Teagan
Alright! been waiting for this since you started the series
Teagan, you should now watch the worst ending to ME2 on RUclips and see how it plays out. Don't forget to do Overlord and Arrival. Especially Arrival as it is the bridge to ME3.
It was an epic finale, especially the music 😃
"The Collectors are about to find out what happens when you piss me off."
Glad you did the suicide mission first, otherwise you would have witnessed your crew being liquefied. And the Overlord DLC is top notch
Wassup Liteweight how are you today hope you are doing well I have really enjoyed this playthrough and can't wait until your next video 😊
Don’t go on to Mass Effect 3 without doing Overlord and Arrival!!!
What a playthrough lite weight thank you for so much for posting this take care of your self 😊
congrats on getting everyone out of there alive!
The finale now on to mass effect 3 💯🔥
Some of the dialogue like Shepard saying people died for this mission plays that way, no matter if you had lost squad members up to that point or not. And yes, your choices on who does certain parts of the mission (like Tali in the vent) do affect if characters die. And Shepard can die if none of the squad members you took with you during the final fight with the human reaper survive. Which can happen if they aren't loyal. Now you just have to finish Arrival, and then on to ME3.
Because of the ones who died along the way. From the crew, Not just the main team.. 🤔
@@Markus117dYeah, like the colonists who got turned into paste.
Got a couple of good DLC missions now before the emotional roller coaster that is Mass Effect 3.
Good choices. Wouldnt risk Tali in the vent shaft, since u have Legion who can withstand temperatures/pressure/lack of oxygen, but apart from that : good logical decisions.
Also side note about Jack. Shes the strongest HUMAN biotic, not biotic in general.
No! You have to do Overlord and Arrival. Especially Arrival.
Unquestionably. Especially Overlord.
Your choices were critical and impeccable. You know your team, Commander. But you still need to do. Arrival DLc
And finally when you have completed the DLC's you havent done yet and begins your ME3 journey, prepare for the crying. ;) :P
If you want, you can react to “Mass Effect 2 Worst Ending” it’s a fun video to watch to see how bad it can get before you play ME3
I'm playing for first time as well and just like you I created a bunch of save files because it freaks me out doing something 'wrong' 😂
Edit: (Playing ME3 right now)
I'm so happy you ended up loving this game as much as you did, and I'm even more glad that you stopped reading the backseating comments and played how YOU wanted to. I really hope you employ the same strategy when you play 3, if that helps ya. Thanks for all the fun playthroughs, you're definitely a fav creator of mine. I've loved the new editing choices you've been adding lately, as well! Anyway, good shit, ty, see yall next thyme
There actually is an ending where Shepard can die, but you really have to try to get it. Obviously that save can't be loaded into ME3.
On my first walkthrough I lost all of my favourite characters - Thane, Garrus and Tali. I was devastated!
if you're willing to redo the suicide mission off-camera, I recommend going back to a save before it and initiating the romance with Thane prior to jump thru the relay. "The Romance Scene™" only plays while you're flying through the Omega Relay so starting the romance now will result in the flags not fully going off and will be incomplete for the transition into ME3. Obviously, you can do whatever you want and see how continuing this way plays out but if you want to carry over the Thane romance into ME3 I recommend redoing the last mission having already started the Thane romance. but like I said you can do whatever, this is your playthrough lol
also you excellently broke down the logic behind the "correct" squadmates to give the tasks to.
10:23 Damn, the SG-1 shoutout made me rewind. LWG is a woman of culture lol
Great ending to a great game. Buckle up, it gets bumpy from here to the end of ME3.
Well done, in my playthrough, even after doing all loyalty missions and upgrades some squad members still died
