Sun and moon was peak pokemon anime - The writing, the humor, the story, characters, everything was at the top of its game for the anime. I miss it.
And at that time everyone hated sun and moon calling it childish

Mamane traumatized by the death of a pokemon, Tapu Lele threatened to kill Kiawe, Mallow had a heartfelt moment with her dead mom, Litten (Inceneroar)'s father figure (Stoutland) is dead, an alternate version of Alola where Guzzlord ate everything turning Alola into a dead region, and many more. It's just an awesome series and till this day it is still my favorite.

I think what really makes me like Alola is that it’s a massive breath of fresh air for the Pokémon anime, especially after Kalos. There’s a lot more going on now and a lot more room for the characters to interact and grow. That and it was just pure fun all around

S&M is so good!! Honestly, it's kinda underrated...
Finally a Pokémon anime that actually makes me feel like I’m watching Pokémon with the characters making friends and bonding with them rather than none stop violence this is why I love Sun and Moon it’s just wholesome and cute and sometimes cool it’s kid friendly but even entertaining and not every single episode is a fight but people actually engaging in other activities with their friends
Team Rocket had it's best moments in these series. Mainly with that Bewear.
