I didn't get why people didn't like Ash' change in face design. I thought it was way more flexible with expressions cuz in the old anime, Ash only had like, four expressions.
I didn't like it at first but it was just cause I wasn't used to it, I got over that quick. And the animation was a lot smoother so that probably helped
It also returned ash to actually looking and acting ten compared to xy and xyz (which were both amazing still)

C'mon, the guys been around for at least 20 years as a trainer. Give him some credit will ya? I mean at the time, he's only been to 7 different Region, Two Archipelago, the Battle Frontier, and multuple different Dimensions in his Journeys throughout his Journeys through Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, AND Alola, all the while still being 10 YEARS OLD! If there's anyone who deserves a win more than anyone else, IT'S HIM.

Well not every episode. The international version had an episode cut from it, because Ash is accidentally in black face.
By far (in my opinion) Sun and Moon has the best humor in all the series
Honestly, the og séries prolly beats it (coming from someone who has zero nostalgia towards the og series). Still I love the sun and moon anime so much and I think someone on another reply section described it best by saying that it's goofiness contrasts well with the seriousness of the XYZ series

Sun and Moon was hilarious but I liked that episodes could be about other characters. Some seem to bring up that tearful scene when Mallow thanks her mother for giving her life.
That episode was the first time I cried over a tv show.
I bawled my eyes out at that scene I had a headache after. 😅
Her voice actor was so good and the SCRIPT 😭😭
I love how In the middle of this very chaotic anime, there's mallows mother's episode.
It was such a dynamic change In tone for the anime and I think that's what made it a lot sadder

Let's be honest the sun and moon series is the only one where the faces can look as weird as they want and not look out of place
This is definitly out of Ash place. The faces compared to the early series and Ash spend most time in school.
It looks way more stupid than it should, even if its for kids.
Cant take characters seriously if they act so toony for the sake of making weird faces all of the sudden

I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed the Sun and Moon anime! Pokémon Sun was my first game ever, so it’s really special to me. The anime made it even better! I really enjoyed it, but now I’m having flashbacks to just how silly it was 😅

They tried something new, aside of travelling with a gym leader and a pokegirl, the concept of Island trials and Pokemon school is great
The new concept is what I love, but still my favourite will always be XY seriea

If Pokémon XY&Z was peak badassness, Pokémon SM:UL is peak comedy in terms of Pokémon anime, I really enjoyed this show through its whole runtime 😭
Pokémon Journeys is more a mix of everything with a focus on the series' nostalgia

The fact that this included exactly two guzma clips out of what 200 is exactly how much love the anime gave him. And I’m still mad about that.
I mean, while Guzma showed up a bit late, he still played a pretty big role in the league and we saw a good bit of character progression for him. Now Hau, he should’ve had a lot more time.

Color me crazy but Sun & Moon has been my favorite Pokemon series (I've been watching Pokemon since Indigo League release in 1998) . Dunno why?... but it's just a laid-back mess of mayhem keeping me invested

It's just pure chaos and really enjoyable chaos at that.
I love everything about Sun & Moon, EXCEPT FOR THE ART STYLE! This was like the transition to a less sharp and pointy art style to a more rounded one, with very different facial expressions than we were used to seeing, and also the people who changed Ash, Misty, and Brock’s appearance really didn’t do a good job with it. All the OGs look so much better in Journeys, when the new art style…settled down a bit. I mean I get that Sun & Moon’s art style was a first, but they could’ve done a way better job with it. BUT THE EXAGGERATED FACIAL EXPRESSIONS ARE GOLD EVEN IF I DON’T NECESSARILY LIKE THEM!
Not Gonna Lie, the Slice of Life thing they were going with this series was pretty good. I honestly found it refreshing though I did miss the XY and XYZ level fights we were getting.
