Good job guys, I love how proper planning and smooth videos you guys made. Giving the viewers to immediately get all the expenses at the same time without any delays like few minutes of walking, ordering, and waiting for the food/ waiting for you to dig in.
Kudos tu Nadia for being a competent tour guide. She brought you guys to Kampung Baru for sampling malay cuisines, that's what it should be. Another tips for chinese food, you can go to Petaling St and for Indian food, the brickfields would offer you some choices. And just to let you know, Jalan Alor is not a place for authentic Malaysian food.
@@AbbyandGazyou are wrong about satay in Indonesia... satay in Indonesia also uses nuts, for example Madura satay and it is also dark colored like in the video... Indonesia has many types of satay and in each city it is different, maybe the one in the video also comes from Indonesia, maybe the seller comes from Indonesia
@@AbbyandGaz Wonderful. You can get a taste of the Malay food in Kampung Baru, the Chinese food in Chinatown, Petaling Street and the Indian food in Little India, Brickfields Road, a mix of everything on Jalan Alor and all the other open night markets in Malaysia. 😀
Durian is an acquired taste. The more you take it, the more you will yearn for it. That's how malaysian grew up liking it. And diff variety having their signature taste and aroma and even texture. So enjoyable.
The best water in Malaysian is on the east coast. I recommend you go to Perhentian Island. You can fly via Kota Bharu , then 1 hour taxi to the Jetty (Kuala Besut) & get a fast boat from there. Contact the resort / backpacker place on the island, and they can book you the boat
Hey, love the video, reminds me of home! Try out these: - Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice. Order their delicious herbal chicken soup to go with it - at ICC Pudu, order the popiah (Msian spring roll) at Auntie May and my favorite Teochew seafood noodle soup, you will be blown away. There are loads of food choices there, just try - in Penang especially but also in KL, the famous char kuay teow with big prawns, the Peranakan food (pie tee and ngoh hiang) and pasembur (Indian rojak) and my favorite, the thin crispy coconut pancakes (not the thick ones with peanut and sweet corn) - In Langkawi, try The Roof restaurant Enjoy beautiful Msia
Roti canai was voted as the best bread in the world by TasteAtlas food rankings. Good tour guide she really bring you to experience local's flavours n vibes 👍. Kampung Baru is the most popular Malay hotspot in KL and you can walk to Kampung Baru from KLCC through the beautiful Saloma Bridge 🌉
Welcome to KL. You can get Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang, Nasi Minyak, Laksam at "Kak Som" restaurant near Nasi Lemak Wanjo. Just located a bit to the left on the opposite side nearby.
@AbbyandGaz Start asking for sweet tasting durian (Red Prawn or Angka -season almost over or D24 sweet with little bitter after taste). If it is watery it has been out for too long. Petai is best when cooked with sambal(cili paste like those in nasi lemak) or with Grilled seafood. Enjoy your stay in Malaysia.
So did your tour guide Nadia eat the durian? Just wondering cuz I'm Malaysian and I hate durian. But pretty much all my family, colleagues & friends love it. I'd say like 90% of them. If u don't like durian as a Malaysian, u get outcasted... just kidding 😅😅
Oh yes before i forget, there are several food events in kl....pasar saloma @dataran merdeka ends tomorrow, Malaysian Agricultural, Horticultural and Agro-tourism expo (MAHA) will end on 22nd n its at MAEPS serdang. The MIHAS, Malaysia Internatiol Halal Showcase will start on the 17th and end on the 20th, @ MITEC KL...
There is also exhibitions of the royal pahang woven textile at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre right now, you can also learn how to craft a bowl/jewellery from pewter at The School ofvHard Knocks there...or come early in the morning and hike KL East Trail (have to register online for hiking slots) before going to the visitor centre...
😂😂😂 so funny.. roti canai only exist in Malaysia by the way. Something bizzarre you should know.. someone posted a durian to Berlin, Germany. When the postal office received it and inspect the package.. they thought it was a chemical bomb. And the bomb disposal unit arrived to disarm and dismantle the package containing the durian. It was overpowering.. even the German's special unit was defeated. Lol
If u wanna try durian for the 1st time, you need to have fresh one just dropped from trees. If not u won't taste a genuine durian and you will hate it your entire life.
Does Abby has food allergy or something coz I noticed her diet of gluten free food. Being a Malaysian myself we generally don't have that diet issue hers but how easy was it for you finding suitable food for you diet requirement?
Come to East Coast states Kelantan & Terengganu the REAL FOOD HEAVEN...local food heaven & authentic...KL is just the place where people want to make money, selling you something without knowing how to be a good cook...lol...
Malaysian people like spicy,if not spicy no energy for us,everything must be with chili,if not spicy enough you can add chili on anything you eat,the curry and sambal spicy level are only 40% that is nothing, only a kid level, need more chili for the energy
Makes me sad that Wanjo is the go to for all foreigners to try nasi lemak. It's has zero soul of a nasi lemak. What you're enjoying is actually plain rice and side dishes. So sorry you had to go through this. You deserve better nasi lemak.

Siapa yang 🇲🇾Malaysia here?
Many place u can go.. enjoy
Roti Canai with fish curry is my favourite
Satay padang not malaysian food. You should try satay kajang. Try go to north state of Malaysia such as perlis. Lot of beautiful places to visit.

Try the dish called sambal udang petai. I cant it raw too. But i like the taste after they cook it.

You should try a fresh musang king durian
There is putu piring too. Instead of bamboo, they use a stainless steel plate
We tried that in Penang the other day ☺️ video coming soon
Roti canai, no 1 and no 2 food in the world (streetfood category) consecutively.
I could eat roti cenai all day 🫶
I hope you gave the leftovers of the Durian for the tour guide. It would be a waste. Durian is a delicious custard consistency. I love them.
Of course we did ☺️ she said she always gets left over durian from the tours!
more videos pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
There are lots coming don’t worry ☺️☺️
Ikan bakar, wow
Delicious ☺️
Durian smells and tastes good
